Talk about a retrospective episode! The RV, Lily, emerges from the ice after a long and harsh winter. It's as if the thing had been frozen since 1979, and flashed 40 years into the future not aging a day. If the Delorian from “Back to the Future” had a baby with the Manfred the mammoth from Ice Age, it would be the RV. Hopefully they previous owner of Jeremy's house encounters a similar situation so he can come back to life and open his Purolator package. Calvin is still debating buying life insurance to ensure his family is taken care of, even after a near death experience where his life may or may not flashed before his eyes. Oh! and to top it off Jer is well under way his summer camp glory days podcast, and Calvin got a peek into the future of what camp will be like for little Noah.

Calvin is already a proud member of the polar bear club, and Jeremy has developed an addiction to Coca-Cola which we all know comes from Santa at the North Pole. This could be an adventure that collides with destiny, and both have high hopes to walk away from the experience with more respect for the creature, and a gorgeous fur poncho.

Jeremy then reflects on his glory days as high school valedictorian, and goes over plans for his 10 Year Reunion party. Cue up "Whatever You Like" by T.I and get ready to party! He is CERTAIN that his graduating class was way more special than any other grade at his school. Jeremy also shares his best cocktail-party small talk story. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas Gabe was involved in almost every traditional sport available to him. In Highschool his love for basketball turned into a love for break-dancing that eventually led to Martial Arts, Tricking and Gymnastics. After moving to Las Cruces, NM for college he quickly realized his passion was for any and all types of movement. Having graduated with a Bachelors degree in criminal justice, all he could think about was those Jackie Chan movies he grew up watching, so he decided to put one career on hold in order to chase a new possibility of becoming a Hollywood Stuntman. In 2007 Gabe moved to Los Angeles California and quickly began learning the ropes while pushing his Freerunning skills to new heights. His first film was Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess With the Zohan, and since then he has had the amazing opportunity to work on films such as Expendables, Total Recall, Battleship, Ted, After Earth, 300: Rise of an Empire, and most recently doubling Taylor Laughtner in the film Tracers. His favorite being Total Recall where he doubled Colin Farrell on the film and performed a large variety of stunts ranging from fights and falls to wire work and parkour. Since he started he has had the privilege of working with some of Hollywoods best Stuntmen and Women as well as train some big name actors such as Jaden Smith, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Biel, Colin Farrell, Taylor Laughtner, Izabella Miko, and Marie Avgeropolous. On the show this week are some people who have opted for a permanent slow down to pursue more fulfilling adventures. Web: www.theedward.ca Insta: @TheEdwardPEC FB: @TheEdwardPEC Read their online journal! The latest post is on how to make Homemade Maple-Cinnamon Granola. YUM. "Prince Edward County is a prime getaway spot; only a few hours drive from Toronto and Ottawa, you can quickly pack up the car to spend the weekend roaming through vineyards and picnicking at the beach. They say there is something about this place, and we couldn't agree more. Not everyone wants to uproot their life to live here full-time, but you can certainly enjoy a slice of this lifestyle at The Edward, and boy is it sweet. We live in big, bustling cities all over the world and work in high-traffic retail and massive companies. We climb figurative ladders and live off the high of our achievements. Yet, the weekends can't come soon enough. Vacations almost always feel over before they begin. It can take days to slow down, and when we finally do, we realize we haven't taken a deep inhale or lengthy exhale in months. – Take a deep breath – – Embrace slow living – We truly believe well-being stems from a slower pace of life—where you take a moment here and there to disconnect from the hustle, listen to the sound of the wind in the trees, and take a meaningful breath. Although there is something to be said for city life, when we look across the field to the wild tree line and see a family of deer stroll by, we are reminded why people keep coming back to the County. We want to share this with you."

This week on the podcast we chat about a couple different trips we've been on recently. For me (Calvin), it was a long weekend bachelor party to Vermont with 12 dudes. For Jeremy, back to back business trips to Germany and Beautiful British Columbia Now travelling in the lap luxury means different things to different people. It's all about setting goals and strategically executing with brilliance. So while Jeremy tries to tally up enough miles on Air Canada to gain access to their elite flyers lounge, I'm satisfied when we're simply able to get 7 bodies across the border in the RV without cavity searches. We dive into some nitty gritty details about how we're always able to find adventure while travelling no matter what the purpose, destination, or company. This week's musical feature: Titus Haug - There Is Time https://www.facebook.com/titushaug/ https://titushaug.bandcamp.com/ Instagram: @titus_anthony (you can also stream on Spotify or Apple Music) Email us your adventure stories and we will read it on the show! jeremy@openroadpod.com calvin@openroadpod.com
