Sometimes life can get a tad heavy, a little burdensome, this song is just a small reminder, that it's ok to go and let loose a little bit! Have a some laughs with friends, otherwise, what's it all worth if we can't enjoy ourselves a bit? As the chorus says “Shake off your cares, wave them good bye, grab all your friends and dance right through the night”. The song is a fun, energetic, up beat, care free track we can all get behind and sing along to. The Guardians get snowed out. We talk about the reschedule and what the pitching will look like for the rest of the series against the White Sox. We talk about Jose Ramirez winning the player of the week in the American League. I also state what the lineup should be for this time now and the next several weeks.  Preview of the Chicago White Sox against the Cleveland Guardians. We talk about why this series is very much in the White Sox's favor, but how it has a chance to shift this year. We also get into just how beat up the White Sox are right now, but outside of Tuesday's game, I am not sure I favor the Guardians in any of these matchups. We talk about the early high performers in the minors and why it has me so excited for the Guardians. The waves of talent are coming on and I highlight the helium candidates along with top performers to watch. Even if players don't work out there are just so many players that the Guardians should be set to succeed for a lot of years.  Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Roy L Hales/Cortes Currents - When Campbell River was reeling from the onset on COVID last Spring, a task force was formed to study the economic impacts. They interviewed about 300 businesses over a two and a half month month period. The Campbell River Business Recovery Task Force concluded that the city's economy primarily rests on three pillars: tourism, forestry and fish farms. This is where the first dollars enter, that support numerous other businesses. Now the Task Force warns about the economic consequences of phasing out fish farms. “If you look at the interrelationships, you can see that so many things that we enjoy in this community, and on your own island to some extent, are a product of a successful forest industry, aquaculture industry, and, when it's able to, the contribution made by tourism and hospitality,” said Task Force Co-Chair Brian Stamp. “ ...We had a very clear message from the aquaculture business because they are all tied together with the BC Salmon Farmers Association. Stamp cited statistics from the BC Salmon Farmer's Association report, Raising Opportunity: How BC Salmon could lead BC's Post COVID Recovery where it says there 572 people from Campbell River, Sayward and the Discovery islands employed in salmon farm operations. They receive $31 million in wages and another $132.6 million goes out to local venders. “If you take the supply chain numbers from the aquaculture industry and forestry industry and add them up, that's a significant amount of money. Then, if we are lucky enough to get the tourism component back on its feet, then you have the three pillars firing on all cylinders,” said Stamp. “The retail opportunities that we have in Campbell River, the big box stores - the Walmarts, Home Depots, Home Hardware, Save on Foods, those large retail operations - are a product of Campbell River having a resilient economy. If all of a sudden the traffic in Home Depot was to suffer because the numbers of people shopping there are reduced, because their incomes are reduced, or the numbers of people available to shop are reduced because they haven't got a job and they've moved on - guess what. If that store isn't producing the results that they expect, it will close,” said Stamp. “That goes for all the other things that we enjoy here and the residents of Quadra and Cortes Islands enjoy some of the same benefits. We have a very wonderful array of physicians, and surgeons in Campbell River. we have a new hospital in Campbell River. Those are all products of have a group of citizens that have the where withal because they have jobs and are well paid to live here.” “You can see small communities that are not successful. They struggle to keep doctors in their communities. So we are fortunate that these industries [tourism, forestry and fish farms] have provided us with a very nice way of life.

Vic Plume was hatched in Melbourne, Australia. At age fourteen, he began his apprenticeship as an alcoholic, graduating with flying colours the very next day. By age seventeen, Vic was working full-time, and when he wasn't working or sleeping, he was drinking. At nineteen years, Vic worked his way around Australia. After ten years of various labouring jobs, he decided to give stand-up comedy a go. After two years, he'd performed stand-up on Australian national TV's “Tonight Live”, eventually going on to write and perform stand-up and his comedy characters for radio, stage, and TV – most notably, television's “Totally Full Frontal”. Vic has performed numerous Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and, for eight years, he performed the voice of Rusty (the brown dog) for TV's humorous Home Hardware commercials. After a lifetime of self-abuse, Vic gave up his full-time obsession with alcohol and set his sights on writing a novel. When Vic told his grandfather he intended to write a book, his grandad suggested, “Write what you know about.” Hence, the astronomically alcoholic private detective, Bo Hogart, was born. “The Misadventures of Bo Hogart”, can be heard at https://www.vicplume.com

Monte grew up in Southwestern Ontario, attending school in Glencoe and later graduating from Westervelt Business College in London. While growing up, he worked in his family's small business, the local Home Hardware. At the age of twenty Monte was elected as municipal councillor in his hometown of Newbury, and was re-elected to two further terms before retiring from that office. From 2009 to 2010 he served as President of the Strathroy and District Chamber of Commerce, and he served on the board of Four Counties General Hospital Foundation. Monte was first elected to the legislature in 2011 where he continued his advocacy for his local community. In June 2018, he became Minister of Infrastructure, where he opened historic streams of infrastructure funding, expanded natural gas supply into rural Ontario and tabled a plan to bring high-speed internet to underserved communities across the province. He also announced an investment to renovate the aging Massey Hall, Canada's most renowned concert hall. In June 2019 Monte McNaughton was appointed Minister of Labour. He immediately set upon a provincial listening tour, meeting with more than 150 labour leaders in less than four months. He quickly established worker safety as a top priority while also shepherding in WSIB rate reductions, freezing non-profit rate increases, and introducing a new program that will reward Ontario's safest employers.
