This episode focuses on one particular panel that breaks down the Muslim Fandom of the Comic Con world! Meet the creators of comic books like; The Last Ansaars, and SQUIRE, hear from Hijab Hero cosplayers, and the importance of representation in all comic book mediums. Enjoy!
We're Totally Fine. It's episode #107 of the Totally Normal Podcast, and we're talking Avengers Endgame Postgame and everything is perfectly not confusing. We've assembled just as many badass TN women as Peter Parker has new moms so, buckle in for a supersize podcast as Jamie, Nikki, Lorena, Zanib Cassidy and Emily talk about our Endgame feelings. Things like did Natasha get screwed? What parts made us cheer? Why did Marvel take 20 movies to figure out how to write a compelling female character to make us feel something? What made us cry? Really poignant comments that even a demi-god can suffer from depression and a mid-life crisis. Where does this leave Loki? and in the end, The Real Hero, the sacrifice and the parts that had us all crying our eyes out. We love you 3000, Tony Stark, You did good. And now, here are all of our feels on Avengers Endgame.
Witches and Wizards, we've come to the end of Chamber of Secrets on episode #106 of the Totally Normal Podcast. We've hit the climax of the book and on this episode, Lorena, Jamie Zanib and Emily have figured everything out, kind of. We don't know why the Hogwarts teachers are slow to act when their brilliant 12 year-old students know everything. Including finding clues that everyone else has missed! The professors are queens of shade however and ready to be rid of Gilderoy Lockhart, I mean who isn't? Why did Dumbledore not share information pertinent to Harry's survival since he obviously knew how to save him, and what was going on! talk about manipulative. On the topic of the Basilisk, did you know a rooster could kill it? Should the puncture wound on Harry's arm from the fang have killed the horcrux in Harry? Dobby's reward was just perfect and the deliciously evil Lucius Malfoy and his flowing locks of luscious blond hair, swoon! and finally what other anagrams could we get for Tom Marvolo Riddle? Tune in and find out! We'll be back in June for Prisoner of Azkaban so be sure to follow us on all the social with the #TNtalksHP and subscribe to the podcast on Itunes. And now, Let's talk Harry Potter with the Totally Normal Hangout: Chamber of Secrets.
Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast Episode 105. We are in the pr-egame now. We're talking Marvel's Studio's Avengers:Endgame with a pre-game podcast and Team Normal is here to break down all of our theories. Don't worry, we don't spoil the Endgame. We've got overarching questions, theories on who lives-who dies, who stays dead, who defeats Thanos. Is there time travel? Is the soul stone done with Thanos? Who are the terrible people who would even think of spoiling what we have waited eleven years for, and the conclusion of the Infinity saga. We're all geared up and now into the Quantum realm with Team Normal for Avengers Endgame Pre-game!
It's episode 104 of the Totally Normal Podcast And on Harry Potter and the Totally Normal Hangout we're talking chapters 11-15 of Chamber of Secrets with Jamie, Emily, Lorena & Zanib. It's a lot to cover like, The Dueling club and How dumb was it that Flitwick, champion dueler, wasn't even involved and Snape literally had to protect the students from Lockhart. But at least the students could learn something... Hermionie and the polyjuice potion had everything planned to a T! Except, where was the Slytherin common room again? Why did we never get to see Percy's point of view this year and his love for Penelope Clearwater. Hagrid's inability to provide decent advice, direction or counseling. Yet again Lucius Malfoy was right in wanting to remove Dumbledore, and lastly, the thing we most would have loved to have seen in the movies was the Valentines Dwarves, and did Ginny send Harry the valentine? or was it secretly sent by Draco? Be sure to follow us with the #TNtalksHP on all the socials and subscribe to the podcast on Itunes. And now, Let's talk Harry Potter with the Totally Normal Hangout: Chamber of Secrets Chapters 11-15.
It's Harry Potter and the Totally Normal Hangout and on this episode we welcomed Cassidy to Hogwarts and dive into chapters 6-10 of Chamber of Secrets where we get up close and personal with Kenneth Branagh's filmography. Like between Jamie, Emily and Cassidy, our Kenneth Branagh love/hate game is strong especially when it comes to his portrayal of Gilderoy Lockhart. We also try to figure out how someone like Lockhart can still get away with what he does, even in fiction, and how can Hermione who is smarter than this put up with him. Emily played HQ Trivia and won 30 whole cents. There was talk of Ghosts and Binn's History of Magic Class and again with the lesson planning and curriculum of Hogwarts and then we went to the afterdark section with a look at Madame Pomfrey fanfiction, Oh Poppy! Be sure to follow us with the #TNtalksHP on all the socials and subscribe to the podcast on Itunes. And now, Let's talk Harry Potter with the Totally Normal Hangout: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Chapters 6-10.
Calling all She-row's It's episode #102 of the Totally Normal Podcast and we are Talking Marvel Studio's Captain Marvel. We are here to say the future is female and here to stay. And Carol Danvers is not taking any of your crap. While our That's Normal panel of didn't completely agree on how this movie worked as an origin story for Captain Marvel, and had some pacing issues some loved it, some were just so so, we had a great discussion and broke down every element the film. From the Skrulls and the Kree to 90's music. As well as our new-found love for Flerkins. Were Carol and Maria actually girlfriends and not just friends? Also The real villain of this movie was toxic masculinity as proven by the trolls who tried to sink the film before it even came out. and failed miserably. What we did agree on, is that Thanos is going to be screwed. So buckle up avengers, April can't come soon enough. And now, Higher Further Faster Baby, with Talking Captain Marvel!

You are listening to the Totally Normal Podcast episode 99! It's hard to believe we have that many hour long hangouts for you guys to delve into, but we totally do. This week, it's the third edition of A Hangout of Witches, where we get deep into the fan theories about the events in episodes 5 and 6 of A Discovery of Witches. These episodes had some of the weirdest bits of the whole season, and we all agreed there were some pacing issues with the intensity of that vampire love ... I mean, did Matthew fall in love with her DNA markers OR WHAT? But it's a great prelude to that last episodes of season 1 ... WHICH we will be discussing in the upcoming podcast. Join us LIVE if you haven't before ... it's the best way to enjoy the discussion. In the meantime, enjoy us in your ear holes, NOT LIVE.
Welcome to the Totally Normal podcast ... this is our 98th episode. And it is a dah-hoozy. A Hangout of Witches, all about the new show on Sundance Now and Shudder (or Sky One if you're a UK person), A Discovery of Witches. We have been waiting and anticipating the day when Hangoutlander doesn't take up so much of our time so we could delve in to this very genre, very cool show with all of you. Tons of our readers found ADOW through two of our biggest, most favorite fandoms: twilight or outlander, so it's a perfect fit for us and for you. Beth, Nikki, Emily A and Janna dive right into the Thames to jumpstart our conversation. Hope you enjoy. Join us in two weeks for the second edition of A Hangout of Witches where we will talk about episodes 3 and 4! Enjoy!
This is the Totally Normal podcast ... episode 96! It is the very last edition of Hangoutlander for the foreseeable future as Outlander season 4 has come to a regrettable end. But with every ending there is a new beginning (as our new favorite show, A Discovery of Witches tells us) as we start a brand new show this week The Sycophantic Outlander Positivity Hour Event ... wherein we spend as much time as possible being as Outlander Positive as possible. It's a good time, and we made it almost 20 while minutes before Hangoutlander came back. Because well ... season 4's finale was not everything it could have been. And we don't say that as crazy book adherents but as real fans who just WANT THE SHOW TO BE GOOD. If we've said it once, we've said it a million times. We hope you enjoy our final Hangoutlander for this season, and stick around with us next week for A Hangout of Witches
Welcome to the Totally Normal podcast. This is our 95th episode and the 12th episode of season 4 of Hangoutlander! It's almost over, everyone. Pretty soon we will go back to our regularly scheduled, barely updating podcast. JUST KIDDING! We still have our Harry Potter hangouts and a new series ... A Hangout of Witches is beginning on Feb 5th (2019)! That's right, if you are loving A Discovery of Witches, or if you haven't watched yet and mean to, we are going to be breaking it all down on the Lunar New Year like good witches. But back to Outlander: it's the penultimate episode, Roger is in a hut, and we are mostly bored. BUT there is good stuff too if you don't mind never seeing Jamie and Claire. Heists! Lord John being a snack! Enjoy me and Nikki with newbie Elise and guest Andee as we talk episode 412, Providence. Join us Monday 1/28/19 at 9 pm ET for the LAST Hangoutlander of the season!
Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast Episode 94. It's another edition of Hangoutlander with Beth and our newest writer who found us thru her love for Outlander, Elise. We take some time this week getting to know Elise and how she found Outlander and us, and then we had a great discussion about a not great episode If Not For Hope, episode 411. If you love hit us over the head themes, Claire and Jamie not QUITE getting their own motivations right (thanks, writers), telling instead of showing and totally wooden acting then you might have been into this episode. But we ... were not. Elise is more gracious than we are, but she's new.! She'll get jaded along with the rest of us soon enough. Join us soon for the penultimate episode of Season 4! Enjoy!

Were the challenges teachers put in place too easy if first years and logic could solve them? One of our more serious and heated conversations came on the heels of the Bree and Roger episode of Outlander. Down the Rabbit Hole took adaptation seriously ... and for most of us, in the wrong direction. But don't worry ...getting tartan serious also means getting boozy and ridiculous. Hope you enjoy this live convo where we explore the age-old Outlander question: WHY, writers? WHY did you do this? We hope you enjoy this convo. Because of the Holidays, we will NOT be having Hangoutlander on 12/24 or 12/31. Happy Holidays and we can't wait to catch up on ALL the Outlander we're missing because some executive thought it was a good idea to show two shows while everyone is totally disconnected from pop culture and the internet... Until then.. Catch us at http://Thats-Normal.com/Outlander
Welcome to episode 88 of the Totally Normal Podcast. It the season finale of Doctor Who and on TARDIScuss Laura, Lorena & Emily talk about The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos. The return of dun. dun. dun. lazy writing? We did get a fist bump, Graham will always be the better man, perhaps because we had some issues with lazy writing, there weren't enough hills to die on. Judge for yourself. Team Tardiscuss will be back in 2019 for the New year's episode and a bonus Q&A. You have something you want to talk about? a burning team tardis question drop us a line. Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast episode 77: Hangoutlander 402 DO NO HARM Well, guys— this week was a tough episode… As you know, Do No Harm dug talked a lot about slavery and enslaved people and had an especially difficult ending. We want to acknowledge first and foremost that we are so completely aware of the fact that Hangoutlander is normally a group of 3 or 4 white women discussing Outlander. That’s always been a problem to us and something we discussed long before this episode- we are aware that there is not much diversity among the writers and commenters on our team. But we were extra aware this week knowing we were going to have a discussing about slavery. Beth did a great job with her recap of DO NO HARM and I encourage you to read it if you haven’t yet here: https://thats-normal.com/2018/11/top-ten-moments-from-outlander-episode-402-do-no-harm/ She let the voices who should have the stage to discuss this episode do so. And we were thrilled when our friend La'Shay took us up on an invitation to join us on Hangoutlander this week. La'Shay is an avid Outlander Fan, a book reader, she’s lived in Scotland, and she’s a woman of color. We loved hearing La'Shay’s take on the episode- what she he loved, what didn’t work for her and what she wishes they had done differently. It was great to have a new voice on Hangoutlander and another book reader to outnumber Bekah and Julie who can’t remember anything from the books.! Thanks for listening. Remember we do this each Monday at 9 pm ET on You Tube with the podcast to follow a few days later. Catch all our Outlander coverage here https://thats-normal.com/outlander

We recorded this podcast, NO LIE, sitting on a bed at San Diego Comic Con this past July. If you don't believe us, you GOTTA watch the video of this convo! Find it here! Shockingly, this is not our first hotel interview with our author besties- though it might be the first time on the bed! This past SDCC was a great excuse to catch up with our fav romance authors, talk about how their lives have changed in the past 5 years and rave about the latest book you guys are going to love: Josh and Hazel's Guide to not Dating-- coming out on 9/4! Find it on Amazon Here. This book is like OLD SCHOOL C&LO, not that we haven't devoured everything SINCE Beautiful Bastard but this feels like C&Lo of yesteryear. It's fresh, it's so them, it's so 2018. We can't wait for you guys to read this one!! We talk about their other projects- those upcoming and those from the past few years, as well as if we'll EVER see C&LO books on the big or small screens! Catch all our book coverage at thats-normal.com/books and we'll be online talking books with the hashtag #TNBookClub

Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast Episode 59 Hangoutlander 313. THE END. That is not the name of the last Outlander episode of the season, but I'm calling it THE END anyway. We did it! We survived 13 episodes back to back (with one week break) of Outlander! We survived Season 3 and leaving Scotland! We survived multiple attempts of unnecessary Rape! We survived Claire and Jamie being CONSTANTLY torn apart! We survived, we did it! Our team was full this week to discuss the last episode of the season. We get into Outlander DRAMA (like conservative fans telling actors who don't care to stay out of politics), what we REALLY thought of the episode (feelings we were mixed or as Bekah said "I was watching it....") and our hopes and dreams for Season 4. Just because Outlander is done for the season does NOT mean we're going anywhere. Next week we're back with Boozy Book Club (Monday 12/18 at 10 pm ET) and we' have a lot of Outlander coverage and posts planned over on Thats-normal.com to get us through Droughtlander. Thank you for listening this season! We loved your comments, your thoughts, even when you disagreed, and we'll be BACK with more Outlander sooN! See you on the web! (and next week on the podcast again...!)
Welcome back to the Totally Normal Podcast! On this week's episode of HangOutlander - we'll be discussing Outlander 312: The Bakra Our panelists include Nikki, Bekah, Beth, and Heidi. The witch is back! And so are the powdered wigs, a Chinese man at a party, a seer, Geillis Duncan, and the purchase of a slave... it was a real blood bath! Heh. Next week is the season finale of Outlander, join us for the live show or back here on the podcast when we discuss Episode 313: Eye of the Storm! Enjoy!
