In this episode of Derms and Conditions, Dr James Q. Del Rosso welcomes back his longtime friend and pediatric dermatology expert, Dr Lisa Swanson. Together, they explore the rapidly evolving treatment landscape for pediatric atopic dermatitis, with a focus on newly approved non-steroidal topical therapies. Dr Swanson shares her insights on tapinarof 1% cream, now FDA-approved for patients as young as two years old, and topical roflumilast 0.15% cream, approved down to age six. The duo discusses how aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) agonism makes tapinarof effective in both atopic dermatitis and psoriasis, likening its action to a “SNOO” that adjusts to soothe inflammation. They also dive into data from the ADORING 1 and ADORING 2 phase 3 trials, highlighting tapinarof's rapid reduction in itch and its positive impact on sleep—critical outcomes for both children and their parents. Dr Swanson offers real-world anecdotes about the sleep-depriving toll of pediatric eczema and how effective therapies can restore rest for the entire family. The conversation touches on skin of color considerations, including how atopic dermatitis may present differently and why diverse representation in clinical trials is essential. Dr Swanson underscores the importance of tactile assessments and shares practical pearls for evaluating eczema severity across skin types. Finally, they explore safety and tolerability, emphasizing tapinarof's low risk of systemic absorption, even in young children prone to thumb-sucking or hand-to-mouth behavior. Tune in for clinical pearls, new treatment insights, and a few laughs between two dermatology BFFs.

What's up, dudes? It's Candlemas! Yes, today we say goodbye to Christmastide. To celebrate, I've got Thom Crowe from ‘Tis the Podcast and Art Kilmer from A Cozy Christmas with to talk about the 1981 episode of SuperBook “The First Christmas!”Once again, several Gospel pericopes are concatenated in this New Testament-inspired episode. While feeling nostalgic and missing his mother at Christmas, Chris, Joy, and his robot toy Gizmo find themselves transported by the mystical book. When the psychedelia settles, they stare up in awe at a vast dessert from another time! Finding themselves in the 1st century BC Holy Land, the trio arrive during the time for Caesar Augustus's decree. Accordingly, St. Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary make the trek to Bethlehem, their ancestral home. Simultaneously the Magi follow a star to Bethlehem in search of a new king. The trio meet the Holy Family and journey with them to the same town. That night they see the Angel's proclamation of great joy, and follow some shepherds to the inn where Jesus was born. They also foil Herod's plot to have the Magi followed and the child killed. Having saved the day, they return to their time and celebrate Christmas properly. An inn with no room? Check. Magi following a star? Got it. Adoring the Holy Family? Definitely! So grab your gold, frankincense, and myrrh, stay with your clockwork robot in a shepherd's house, and head to Bethlehem with this episode! There's something about those births (8) / Christmas Continues w/ “The Eyewitness of Anna” / Luke 2:36-40 The Wonderful Women associated with Jesus - Mary, Elizabeth, Anna, WATW (Samaria), Mary Magdalene, Mary & Martha, Lydia - Unlikely women who witness to Jesus! Anna was a part of the “O' Come Let Is Adore Him” Crowd! The Adoring & Awesome Anna! A lot is said of this godly elderly woman in a little space. • Married for 7 years - So widowed for over 60 years - Godly through the ages! Don't miss that. • Prophetess - no examples given • Daughter of Phanuel - • Tribe of - 12 tribes; 10 & 2 tribes (Judah and Benjamin); The 10 tribes aren't lost (Revelation 7:6 & 14:1-5 speak of the tribes established by God). BTW - Simeon most likely named after tribe • Never told of quarters for godly women I. The Credibility of Anna - 1. Look at her character - 2. Look at her commitment - “never leaving” but not isolated! She interacted. She communicated. She evangelized. She is a critical part of the True Christmas Story. 3. Look at her compassion - 4 incredible evidences: a. By her worship - Jesus spoke of • Jesus in Matthew 4 (and serve) • Jesus in John 4 (true worship) • Jesus in Mark 7 (vain worship) b. By her fasting - Jesus spoke of • Fasting is a private matter - don't promote your practice • Fasting is a spiritual matter (physical benefits but spiritual purposes) - Joel (Return) & Jonah (Repent) attached to prayer not to diet • Fasting is an essential matter - “Why don't Your disciples fast?” Oh they will but not while I'm here! Don't Fast at the Feast! c. By her thankfulness - Jesus spoke of (didn't mean she wasn't lonely) • Jesus asked, Where are the other 9 • Jesus expressed gratitude as the pattern of His life - John 11 to The Lord's Supper (Eucharist is Greek for giving of thanks) • Jesus commanded gratefulness - d. By her evangelistic mindset (like Simeon!) • Like Elizabeth; Like Mary; Like Zechariah; Like TWATW - John 4

An episode from Berean Baptist Church, an independent body of King James Bible believers located in Springfield Missouri. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning. We believe that God's Word has been divinely preserved in the English language and commonly known as the Authorized King James Version. Therefore, the Authorized King James Version shall be the official and only translation used by the church. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21). We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23, 5:12, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 4:17-19). We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-10; I Peter 1:18-19). We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 38-39; I Cor.1: 4-8; I Peter 1:4-5). We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's Word, which, however clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh (Romans 13:13-14; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11-15). We believe in that “blessed hope,” the personal, imminent return of Christ who will rapture all believers prior to the seven-year tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom, which was promised to the nation of Israel (Psalm 89:3-4; Daniel 2:31-45; Zechariah 14:4-11; I Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:1-6). The Berean Baptist Church Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final authority of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that this statement of faith accurately represents the teaching of the Bible. This episode we will talk about how Christ can be the center of our lifestyle. Philippians 1:20 says, according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death. So even in the good and bad in life we should glorify the lord knowing he is merciful.

Scripture: John 16:20-28 Key Takeaways: Prayer is a Privilege secured for us by Jesus. Hebrews 10:19–22 “God is radically committed to my life of prayer. He shed the blood of His Son so that I might be cleansed and rendered fit to stand before Him in love. He also permitted the brutal rending of His Son so that I might now have a way to enter into the Holy Place through the torn flesh of Jesus. ‘Draw near,' he says… How can I not feel the infinite sincerity of these invitations, especially when considering the painful lengths that God endured so that I might enter his presence in prayer. Indeed the Gospel serves as the sweetest of invitation to pray.” - Milton Vincent. Matthew 7:7–11 Prayer is Adoring and Asking. Matthew 7:7–11 True Prayer Prioritizes the Priorities of God. Matthew 6:9–10 Prayer is an attitude and a habit. “It's good to let prayer be the first business of the morning and the last at night. Guard yourself carefully against those false and deluding ideas which tell you, ‘Wait a little while. I will pray in an hour; first I must attend to this or that.' Such thoughts get you away from prayer into other affairs which so hold your attention and involve you that nothing comes of prayer.” – Martin Luther “Admit no exception in the prayer schedule, for the exception will break down the habit. The habit is the important thing.” - E. Stanley Jones.
