Boomer and Gio react to the Giants players' reactions to Cam Skattebo's controversial WWE appearance. Plus, MLB offseason discussion around Trent Grisham and Pete Alonso; Drake Maye vs. First Take; a Mets teammate dishes on Brandon Nimmo; Gio on the lack of excitement of the NBA regular season; the guys make their Week 12 NFL picks, and an interview with The Costco Guys.
Drake Maye didn't know Cam Newton was on First Take, and Stephen A. Smith called him out! The only good thing about the Jets and Giants being terrible is how interesting the draft will be. Jaxson Dart is expected back in Detroit. Plus: Jermaine Johnson cuts sugar to catch Lamar Jackson, Adam Ottavino spills on Brandon Nimmo, the Rangers lost, and Gio gets anxious in Costco.
Jerry brings us Ryan Clark and Stephen A. Smith reacting after Drake Maye admitted he didn't know their show existed. Plus, Adam Ottavino spills clubhouse secrets about Brandon Nimmo caring deeply about what reporters write about him. Oh, and the Rangers lost to the Avalanche.
BT and Sal unleash a torrent of commentary following former Mets reliever Adam Ottavino's fiery podcast remarks, where he torches Carlos Mendoza, accusing the manager of "pathetic" bullpen usage and questioning if the organization "even care[s]" about pitcher health, leading to a record number of Tommy John surgeries. Ottavino also stirs the pot by calling former teammate Brandon Nimmo "sensitive" regarding clubhouse leadership and media stories. The hosts also tackle Brian Cashman's defense of Trent Grisham using cryptic "underlying information" and debate whether the Mets should trade the declining Nimmo, McNeil, and Senga during the Hot Stove season. Finally, it's time for the "Perfect Parlay" picks for NFL Week 12. Hoff leads the scoring race, prompting a "desperate" Sal to roll out a three-team parlay with the Giants/Lions Over 50.5 and the 49ers -7. Tierney lays a big -13 with the Lions and takes the Cowboys +3.5 as an upset special.
BT & Sal ignite an explosive discussion starting with former Mets reliever Adam Ottavino's shocking podcast remarks, where he accused manager Carlos Mendoza of "pathetic" bullpen usage leading to a surgery crisis and called Brandon Nimmo "sensitive." The focus then shifts to the Giants, as Jaxson Dart is officially ruled out this weekend, forcing a debate on protecting the young QB from "idiotic" play-calling and whether interim coach Mike Kafka is a viable long-term option. On the baseball hot stove, the hosts clash over the Yankees' free agency targets—is Kyle Tucker or Cody Bellinger the better fit?—and furiously debate a potential trade for Corey Seager, with one host willing to risk the huge contract for his October pedigree and the other calling it a guaranteed "Stanton disaster." Finally, sports betting insider Nick Kostos joins to deliver his NFL Week 12 picks, including the Giants/Lions OVER, before BT, Sal, and Hoff unveil their "Perfect Parlay" bets.

BT and Sal dive into a fiery discussion on the Yankees and Mets' overlapping offseason targets, focusing on how Cody Bellinger and Devin Williams are perfect, must-have fits for both clubs. Sal unveils his four-part, "Grand Slam Blueprint" for the Mets, which includes trading for Tarik Skubal, signing a pitcher like Ranger Suarez, re-signing Pete Alonso, and acquiring one of the big bats (Bellinger, Tucker, or Bregman). They debate the plausibility of the Mets making "massive moves"—including trading Brandon Nimmo and Kodai Senga—with Sal needing to see Stearns act like a big-market GM. The conversation shifts to the broader landscape, where they express outrage over the looming CBA expiration and the possibility of a lockout, arguing that another work stoppage would prove baseball's "greedy pigs" are disconnected from the fans. Finally, the hosts touch on the more glamorous side of the offseason, revealing they are anxiously awaiting the official invitation to A-Rod's Christmas party, with Sal admitting Alex Rodriguez even texted him about the disastrous Trent Grisham deal.
Evan got a DM saying the Mets might trade Brandon Nimmo for Mike Trout.....Would it be a good move?

Should Brandon Nimmo, with a full no trade clause, actually be shopped by the Mets?
This week's Mets highlights include reaction to David Stearns speaking at the GM Meetings in Las Vegas. BT and Sal want Stearns to be aggressive in resolving the Pete Alonso situation to move on to other roster needs, and they debate if Brandon Nimmo can be traded to free up payroll. Plus, Boomer and Gio react to the wild story of Steve Cohen auctioning off a golden toilet, and the Evan and Tiki crew play MLB free agency bingo.

BT and Sal dive into an explosive report from Joel Sherman suggesting the Mets are "spit-balling" scenarios to trade veteran outfielder Brandon Nimmo. With five years and over $100 million left on his contract, the Mets' motivation is to upgrade a poor defense and gain roster flexibility, even if it means eating some salary. Sal supports moving on from a contract that David Stearns wouldn't have signed, while BT sees it as an "out-of-the-box" move that could define a transformative offseason. The conversation also touches on other potential trade targets, like Ketel Marte, as the guys conclude that no one is untouchable this winter for the new front office.
BT & Sal ignite the offseason discussion, declaring Cody Bellinger the "linchpin" for the Yankees' success and arguing that both New York teams need to abandon "fair market value" for a necessary, "irrational" approach to win. They dive into a shocking report from Joel Sherman suggesting the Mets are "spitballing" a trade of Brandon Nimmo—a move that could clear salary and upgrade defense, but signals a major philosophical shift for David Stearns. The focus then pivots to the NFL for their Week 11 Power Up Rankings. Sal shocks by putting the Patriots at No. 5 and leaving the Chiefs out, while BT puts the Patriots at No. 1 due to their consistent winning and coaching, dropping the Chiefs to No. 4. The guys debate whether the Broncos and Rams have done enough to earn top spots, and predict a crushing loss for the Jets against the Patriots tonight.
BT & Sal unleash a fiery Yankees offseason demand: Cody Bellinger is a "must-sign" that the team cannot afford to miss, arguing they must abandon "fair market value" and aggressively "load up." They dissect potential trades for Steven Kwan and Alex Bregman and float the nuclear option of trading Carlos Rodón. The Mets side of the Hot Stove is equally hot with a shocking report that Brandon Nimmo is being "spitballed" as a trade piece, signaling a massive philosophical shift for David Stearns. Sal airs a hilarious personal grievance against Alex Rodriguez, who texts everyone but Sal. Off the field, the hosts dive into a bizarre celebrity tangent, debating the definition of "swordsman" sparked by Sydney Sweeney drama, and welcome Marlon Wayans to discuss comedy and crushing cancel culture. The show wraps with a brutal assessment of the Jets' upcoming primetime game and a controversial NFL Power Up Ranking that leaves the Chiefs out of the top spots!

BT and Sal dive into the drama of the World Series following an unbelievable 18-inning marathon, with Sal arguing that baseball provides "more drama and more moments of suspense than any other sport." BT pushes back, criticizing the late start times that keep kids and many fans from witnessing these epic moments live. The hosts pivot to the New York teams, with the Yankees facing a decision on Giancarlo Stanton's complicating contract, and a call for the Mets to make tough, smart choices by moving on from players like Pete Alonso (to DH) and Brandon Nimmo to build a more well-rounded, defensive team that can win a championship.
BT and Sal dive headfirst into the Jets' crisis, grappling with the team's abysmal start and the endless cycle of fan suffering. The hosts debate whether coach Aaron Glenn is losing the locker room, tear into Justin Fields' "terrible" play, and discuss the viability of switching to Tyrod Taylor for a "spark" against a tough Broncos defense. From a possible Rex Ryan return to the ludicrous thought of trading for Russell Wilson, the Jets' path forward is a volatile mess. The conversation then shifts to the Mets, focusing on Pete Alonso's massive contract demands, including his reported ask for a seven-year deal. Sal and BT dissect the value of the Polar Bear's power and debate the maximum worth of his extension, contrasting his cornerstone status with the trade potential of players like Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo as the Mets look to build a balanced, winning roster.
Sal and BT furiously dissected the New York Mets' most embarrassing season ever, a historic collapse that saw the $400 million team miss the expanded postseason. The discussion was fueled by owner Steve Cohen's immediate public apology to fans and star Pete Alonso's post-game announcement that he will opt out, signaling a potential tear-down of the core, including possible trades for Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo. This baseball disaster overshadowed the Giants' massive win over the Chargers and the exciting debut of rookie QB Jaxson Dart, with the celebratory mood immediately soured by the devastating news of Malik Nabers' season-ending ACL tear.
Sal and BT dissected the agony of the 2025 Mets season, contrasting their failure to make the playoffs with the Detroit Tigers, who suffered a historic division collapse yet still snuck into October baseball. Sal emphasized that the Mets' high payroll and talent made their absence unacceptable, showing they couldn't even "fold the right way." The discussion segued into how the new regime, led by David Stearns, must drastically change the team's defensive philosophy, even if it means moving on from fan-favorites like Pete Alonso or Brandon Nimmo to prioritize sound, well-rounded baseball.
Sal and BT furiously dissected the Mets' season-ending collapse, calling it one of the most embarrassing in franchise history after the team missed the playoffs despite a massive payroll. They hammered the team's core, with Sal arguing that the Mets should trade Francisco Lindor or Brandon Nimmo to reset the team dynamic since the current nucleus "did not work." BT agreed that the core needed to be "blown up," even if it means moving a star player like Lindor. The discussion culminated in the hilarious payoff of Sal's bet with Phillies fan Clem from Surfside, forcing Sal to don a Chase Utley Phillies uniform and BT to wear a Surfside can costume in a moment of ultimate Mets-Yankees-Phillies indignity.
Sal and BT, frustrated by the Mets' underperformance, declare that the team's core simply "didn't work" and needs a dramatic shakeup. While both agree Pete Alonso must be re-signed as a potent DH/First Baseman, they argue that Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo should be put on the trade block. Sal specifically targets trading Lindor, despite his star power, to ditch the hefty contract and change the team's "entire dynamics," while BT agrees the core players don't complement each other and the whole nucleus needs to be blown up.
It was a bitter end to the Mets season and after the game Brandon Nimmo met with the media to discuss where his mind is after the loss.

Hour 1 We started with a great night of baseball for the locals, with the Yankees clinching a playoff spot and the Mets coming back to beat the Cubs. It felt like a special night for the Mets. And where is Keith Hernandez? Is he sick? Jaxson Dart is starting for the Giants this weekend at home against the Chargers. Even though Russell Wilson had a great game against Dallas, he threw terrible interceptions last week. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the White Sox and clinching a playoff spot. In the final segment of the hour, WFAN producer Brian Rascona told Gio that Ken Griffey Jr was walking around the Ryder Cup and nobody seemed to notice him. Hour 2 Jaxson Dart is getting the start for the Giants this week. Nobody really talks about the pressure a quarterback faces in their first real NFL game. Boomer brings it up, but you don't hear many other people talk about it. It's different from the pre-season. Boomer likes Dart's attitude compared to some of the other rookie QBs that came to the Jets and Giants. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio wonders if the teams being bused back and forth for the Ryder Cup are listening to the show. Jerry starts with Ian Poulter criticizing American golf fans. Hour 3 We started the hour with the Jets as they play in Miami on Monday night. One of these teams is going to be 0-4. There is pressure on Mike McDaniel and Tua. In 2 of the 3 games, the Jets were very competitive. A caller wonders why the Giants even brought Russell Wilson in if they had already signed Jameis Winston. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Howie Rose and the sounds of the Mets beating the Cubs to get back in charge of their own destiny. Brandon Nimmo hit a game tying HR and Francisco Alvarez hit the eventual game winning HR. Jerry compares ‘douche bag says what' from the 1990s to ‘Boomer will cream pie me' from this morning. We continued arguing about the phrase, ‘control your own destiny'. Hour 4 Nicole Rae from Skratch Golf is in the studio to talk about the Ryder Cup. They hosted us for our trip to Pebble Beach as well. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Gio gives us alcohol prices for drinks at the Ryder Cup. The Mets handled business on a Thursday afternoon at Citi Field, beating the Padres 6–1 behind a sharp rebound from rookie Jonah Tong and home runs from Pete Alonso and Brandon Nimmo. Tong struck out eight over five innings and allowed just one run as New York clinched the series and widened its cushion for the NL's final Wild Card spot. Alonso homered in the first (his fourth straight game with a HR) and later added a sac fly, while Nimmo broke it open with a three-run shot in the third. With the win, the Mets are 79–74—two games up in the Wild Card race—with nine games remaining. #Mets #LGM #MetsWin #MetsNation #NYM #MetsBaseball #PeteAlonso #BrandonNimmo #JonahTong #CitiField #MetsVsPadres #MetsHighlights #MLB #MLBPlayoffs #MLBWildcard #Baseball #MLB2025 #LetsGoMets #QueensBaseball #NewYorkSports #LockedUpSports
Sal and BT's "Call of the Day" centered on a quote from Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo, where he claimed other teams were "hoping we don't make the playoffs" because they don't want to see the Mets in October. The hosts took Nimmo to task for what they saw as a delusional and dangerous mindset, arguing that it shows the team is not taking their current struggles seriously. Sal and BT said the quote revealed a "fatalistic" attitude where the team believes they can just "turn it on" when the playoffs arrive, a belief that is not supported by their recent poor play. They argued that this lack of urgency is the very reason the Mets are in danger of missing the playoffs in the first place.
Brandon Nimmo chats with Pat McCarthy ahead of the Mets-Phillies game on Wednesday night. Nimmo talks about the race for the playoffs and the recent cold stretch for the Mets offense.

Hour 1 Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio, discussing the start of college football season, which Willie and Eddie love, unlike NFL-fan Jerry. They feel old watching sons of players they grew up with. The Mets beat the Phillies, with controversy around Juan Soto's timeout and appreciation for Francisco Lindor. Willie hopes parabolic mics and this series turn the Mets around. The Yankees and Giancarlo Stanton continue their success against the Nationals. C-Lo's update covers Brandon Nimmo's walk-off, Edwin Diaz's save, and Jonah Tong's upcoming MLB debut, which Jerry believes will spark the team. Jerry and Willie agree Stanton is a Hall-of-Famer and enjoys playing outfield. The Yankees gained a game as the Blue Jays blew a lead. The Giants waived Tommy DeVito, and the Jets cut Malachi Corley. Finally, Jerry asks Willie about Burning Man, leading to a discussion of his sandstorm experience in Arizona, whether he could perform in an "orgydome" at his age, and which former teammates and show crew members he'd take. Hour 2 The hour begins with the engagement announcement of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Willie discusses prenups, having one himself, while others on the show do not. Eddie sees prenups as a sign of mistrust. Jerry wonders if the engagement will help Kelce focus on the upcoming season. A caller provides a female perspective on prenups. C-Lo, who also lacks a prenup, provides an update. Jerry and Willie note that cheating isn't exclusive to men. In sports, the Mets beat the Phillies, Giancarlo Stanton led another Yankee win, and Shedeur Sanders made the Browns' initial 53-man roster. The hour concludes with Jerry telling Willie about Shaun Morash's bet that Travis Kelce will incorporate Taylor Swift's last name into his. If so, Evan will take his wife's name as payment. Jerry and Willie agree with Evan's stance but wouldn't have risked the same wager. Willie emphasizes athletes' need to protect earnings, especially in the NFL. Hour 3 The hour began with a discussion on Micah Parsons' hold-in and alleged back injury, with Willie and Jerry expecting a deal, though Willie notes the difficulty of returning to play immediately. NFL cutdown day saw the Jets release Malachi Corley, prompting Willie to suggest they need another receiver. Willie also explained how small-school players are scouted, calling the combine overrated. C-Lo returned with an update after a segment on the Jerry Jones Netflix documentary, which C-Lo and Jerry are enjoying. The conversation then shifted to concussion protocols then versus now. The Mets beat the Phillies after Ryan Helsley blew a save and are going for a sweep tonight. The Yankees won against the Nationals with Luis Gil pitching five strong innings, saved by Tim Hill. The Yankees and Mets will play on 9/11 next year, with the season starting unusually early on March 25th. C-Lo presented musical clips, including Evan and Shaun singing "Tong" and Gary, Keith, and Ron singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," leading to a discussion on karaoke songs. The hour concluded with Jerry sharing a coincidence related to a small college and then discussing excitement for college football. Finally, Jerry recounted a story about a man in Wisconsin who faked his death to leave his family and meet a woman, now facing jail time. Hour 4 The final hour begins with Jets radio voice Bob Wischusen, following Willie's story about Mike Tomlin using “In the Air Tonight” to motivate his team. Bob discusses the Jets' potential for a good season, expressing optimism about their chances of playing meaningful games in December. C-Lo returns for his final update, where Willie learns about "Al" after CBS Sports Network aired Jerry's "fraud" clip. Ryan Helsley blew the Mets' lead, but they won in the 9th. Giancarlo Stanton drove in all five Yankees runs in their win, leading Jerry to call him a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. Jerry's update includes Yankees' victory over Rays, Mets' loss to Nationals (Senga gave up 4 earned runs), and Brandon Nimmo's neck injury. It's Season 8, Episode 16 of The Put it in the Books Show—Farace, Rodriguez, and Producer Joe (holding it down behind the wall) are on deck, while Keith is out under the weather (or maybe just sparing himself from watching more blown leads). The Mets managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again, coughing up a 3-run lead and losing to the lowly Nationals. This isn't just a bad loss, it's the kind of game that makes you wonder if the stretch run is going to be a stretch too far. Five games back of the Phillies and clinging to wild card position, every one of these collapses feels like a gut punch.Injury news doesn't help either: Alvarez remains out, joined by Jeff McNeil, Brandon Nimmo, and Luis Torrens on the sidelines. On the flip side, Francisco Lindor just won NL Player of the Week, proving he can carry the lineup when he's locked in. Baty has been on fire, Vientos is showing signs, and the offense overall has looked better… except when they're blowing games against the Nationals. The bullpen additions are still a mixed bag, but somehow, when the hitting coach stopped coaching hitting, the bats got going. Go figure. Now it's time to see if the Mets can pick themselves up—three in Atlanta followed by a massive four-game clash with the Phillies at Citi Field. So pour a stiff drink and join Farace, Rodriguez, and Producer Joe as they try to sort through the standings, the injuries, the blown leads, and maybe even corner Joe into apologizing to Brett Baty.
