This episode is all about The Vacation Reset. How to come home, take a fresh look at your routine, and use everything you felt and experienced on your trip to make your everyday more fulfilling. So rather than having post-vacation blues you have this fresh perspective on everything - what you're eating, what you're spending your free time doing, and what makes you feel the most alive. It a post-vacation breakthrough podcast. 1. Why Vacation Is Such a Powerful Reset You break your routines naturally — new places, new foods, new experiences. You slow down and experience joy more intentionally. You're more present and tuned into how you actually feel. Mini Thought: → When you remove the autopilot of daily life, you notice what truly lights you up. 2. Coming Home: The Moment of Clarity You can feel what routines were serving you and which ones felt heavy. You're often able to clearly see what you missed (the good stuff!) — and what you didn't. Your nervous system resets — you realize where you were operating from stress without realizing it. Mini Thought: → Vacation gives you the contrast you need to upgrade your life. 3. How to Create Your Personal Vacation Reset Reflect: Ask yourself: What made me happiest on this trip? What did I not miss about home? Audit your life: What parts of your daily/weekly routines could feel lighter, freer, more intentional? Add in Micro-Experiences: Can you add mini "vacation moments" into your normal weeks (like trying new foods, spontaneous adventures, walks without your phone)? Declutter Your Calendar: Remove one thing that drains you. Commit to one thing that fills you up. Mini Thought: → Tiny changes = huge shifts in how your days feel. 4. Use Momentum Instead of Falling Into the Post-Vacation Slump Most people fall into the "Maui Blues" — they mourn that vacation life is over. Shift the story: Vacation isn't the escape — it's a preview of what more joyful living could look like. Plan small things you can look forward to each week (adventures, date nights, slow mornings). Keep something “vacation-inspired” going (sunsets, meals outside, afternoon walks). Mini Thought: → Build your real life to include the things you love about vacation life. 5. Fresh Eyes on Your Big Goals Being away from your normal environment clears your mental windshield. Look at your big goals again — are they still aligned? Or is it time to pivot? Use the renewed sense of energy and perspective to make bold moves or corrections. Mini Thought: → Fresh energy = a fresh roadmap toward what really matters. Action items!! -Make a list of what lit you up! -Notice what you didn't miss about being away and what you dreaded coming back to then audit your calendar. -Make a playlist that reminds you of your trip to keep that vibe going. -Add something into your routine that you loved from your trip. Like reading 10 pages or a long walk after dinner. -Declutter one part of your space. -Try a food at home that you loved on vacation. -Think of tiny daily things that you loved there. Walking barefoot, eating more fruit, etc. Vacation isn't just a break — it's a gift of perspective. And the best thing you can do is bring that joy, that presence, and that clarity back into your daily life. Instead of mourning the end of vacation, use it as a launchpad for better habits, better experiences, and a more intentional, vibrant life. Every day can have a little bit of that vacation magic — if you design it that way. Thanks for listening, and here's to your most awesome Vacation Reset yet! How do you achieve sustainable success in your equine business? One of the best ways to do that is to learn from others who have gone before you or are doing what you'd like to do. I'm NOT suggesting you copy or mimic what others are doing. Instead, learn about the strategies and principles that made them successful. How'd they get there? What could you learn about what you do and don't want to do for your own business? That's what this case study format is going to help you do. Ariat International is a global brand. They're one of, if not the, largest equestrian sports brand in the world. But they didn't start out that way. In this case study, you'll learn how Ariat started as an equestrian riding boot company, the central themes that have been key to their success, and then how you can apply that to your own equestrian business. We all have fears. But you have to look at fear not as something that will cripple you, but as an opportunity to achieve success. In today's episode, Jamie Gruber joins the conversation as he shares valuable insights into the hierarchy of fear and the 3 C's of overcoming your fears. Jamie is the man behind the lifestyle brand Emerge Supercharged, which has produced over 40 millionaires. He is also the host of the Tribe of Millionaires podcast and a partner at Quantum Capital, a value-add multifamily investment firm with $200 million in assets under management. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: The battle of authenticity versus ego As your identity shifts, the result lags How to overcome your fears How to add value to your community The three layers of fears we need to overcome The concept of passion pairing Episode Highlights: [14:10] The 3 C's of Overcoming Your Fears 1. Clarity - You've got to know where you're going. You have to have a very clear and compelling vision that just speaks to you that's right out of your authenticity. 2. Confidence - Build confidence in who you're becoming. This is the identity shift piece. You have to have the identity – of who you're trying to become – in place now. Once you're locked in, then all the pieces and systems out there will conspire to drive you in that direction. 3. Community - Getting around the right people who represent who you are becoming is huge. If you want to be like the 99% that want to keep their job, then don't invest in yourself. But if you want to be the 1% of people who choose to leave, you've got to invest in your community. [23:55] How You Can Add Value to Your Community Focus on how you can add value and that's how you're going to get value. Don't join a mastermind with the mindset of expecting something in return. Value doesn't only refer to financial value either. Whether that's connecting people or becoming a resource of information, don't worry about what you're getting, just worry about what you're giving. Engagement is super important as well. It means contributing in a way that you can best give. If you're not engaging in that community, then you're not going to get anything out of it. [27:32] The Three Layers of Fear People fear uncertainty more than they value happiness. What's underlying that is a fear of failure. But failure is part of the formula for success. It's inevitable and necessary. Without it, you cannot have success. Finally, the fear that underlies all of it is the fear of judgment. Get past this idea that other people are thinking about you when they're not. Once you get past your fear of judgment, your other fears become much less crippling. What is an abundant mindset? People with an abundant mindset feel freer to give and share because they don't see that the resources in their life are in scare supply. They have the motto of There is more where that came from. Often people who aim for and achieve big goals are people who have an abundance-oriented mindset. Because they aren't worried about what they don't have, abundant mindset folks are generally happier and easier to get along with they like to take people on their journeys and include more people in their success because they are not limited in what they can do. More control If you have an abundant mindset you aren't worried about how is out of your hands. They will take what they have and use it to the fullest extent possible. They approach jobs with more gusto and enthusiasm because they are eager to see the results of their endeavor and don't worry as much about what won't happen. When they do fail, they take responsibility for their actions instead of wallowing in their failure. Being abundant gives, you so much more control over your options because you are in fact not limited in the possibilities. Characteristics of an abundant mindsetted person Clarity You see the path before you. That means that you are able to bend with sudden changes better and you know why you have to go through this problem. Choices You can better understand the choices you will have to make. A person with a scarcity mindset will only see what they don't have. Therefore, they don't think big and worry about the lack of choices. Instead seeing that a door is closed to you knows that yeah t could be open because it is possibly unlocked. Then again, maybe that door isn't opening because you are pulling instead of pushing. Less pressing problems With an abundant mindset you focus on the problems at hand they aren't as pressing because you know you have plenty of resources at your disposal. Freely share IF you have plenty of resources and thoughts, you have no problem sharing them. While if you are scarcity oriented you don't share out of fear that you are going to run out. Focus on what is working Instead of bashing your head against a wall trying to make a completely big enough for you to go through, abundant mindset people won't keep trying something that isn't working. They freely try different avenues to get to their goal. Revel in the resources they have. There is an abundance so they enjoy being able to try everything they can. IF you look, you will see that there are always more opportunities than you originally thought. Proactive You will make a change to get over an obstacle instead of wasting your time reacting to every little problem. You can react or you can respond to a problem one is better while the other is filled with fear. Welcome change You understand that change is going to happen. Often your actions weren't that change so you want to be accepting that the only thing in life that is constant is change. So when you approach a problem with the gusto that needed you can easily see what is and isn't working so you have no problem making the needed sift. Gratitude Being grateful is one of the best resources you have at your grasp. Gratitude builds more energy for the actions you have to take. If you see more opportunities and are enthusiastic about the opportunity to approach them. How does this help? You become the go-to person People see the abundance in your life and they will migrate to you because you are helping them. Freely share resources You have enough to go around Easier to get along with Because you aren't worried about what you don't have you are nicer and easier going. You are OK with failing You understand that you are going to fail from time to time so you just get up and try a different approach How to develop an abundant mindset Proactive instead of reactive Be proactive instead of reacting to an event. You see farther down the path than others so you are more prepared for those inevitable pitfalls. Pat attention to your thoughts How are you thinking of a problem in your life? We have 60,000 thoughts a day and many of those, if we don't pay attention to them, will try to bring us to a scarcity mindset. So pay attention to what you are thinking. Using mindfulness meditation can help greatly in this department. Ask yourself if that thought is coming from fear and scarcity or a place of plenty How are you approaching a problem? Is it through fear? Change how you think and your mindset will shift drastically Try to think bigger Stop thinking about just the next step look bigger. Do you want your own business or do you want a business that makes 100 million a year? Focus on what is going right instead of what is going wrong IF you fail, don't try it again. Try something different. Find what is working and don't obsess over what is not working. Offer words of appreciation Give thanks and give it often. Gratitude is an eternal wellspring of optimism that will help not only you but those whose lives you touch. Please Rate us on iTunes or On Podchaser

Coming Back From a Podfade Howdy -- I’m Kyle Bondo, and this is Podfader! My weekly podcast about helping you keep your podcast from podfading, especially when the drive for new and interesting content becomes a struggle. S1:E6 -- Fellowship of the Podfader I had everything ready to record my podcast. I took a deep breath, clicked record, and moved up to the mic. Then a hot wave of embarrassment hit me. I had nothing to say, and I was in trouble. The Two Realities I like being a podcaster but didn’t like doing the podcasting work. I was avoiding my podcast. Why? Because it takes work to produce and I had gotten lazy. I didn’t want to plan my next episode, do the research, and write the script. I just wanted to “wing it” — or what my friend Tim calls “improv”! Only what they never tell you about improv is that IT takes a lot of work too! What kind of work? Planning, research, and scripting — just like my podcast. The epiphany was the realization of how truly prideful I had been and it took a frozen moment in front of a microphone to point it out. I had skipped all the necessary steps that take place BEFORE the microphone gets turned on. I had let my podcasting muscles go weak. Return of the Podcaster When you come to this realization — owning the fact that YOU let this happen — that YOU let your podcasting muscle go weak, you need to take your podcasting skills back to the gym! The Nine Steps Back to Podcasting: Step 1 — Acceptance: You have to admit that your podcast is worth working on. Step 2 — Humility: You need to believe that you don’t know everything about podcasting. Step 3 — Clarity: You decide that you need to improve your skills and learn a better way to produce your podcast. Step 4 — Insight: You take an honest look at your podcast and expose what you need to fix or improve. Step 5 — Commit: You take full ownership of your shortcomings and create a plan for how you can improve. Step 6 — Focus: You take action by prioritized your most important improvements and taking real action to work on each one. Step 7 – Reflection: You take a personal inventory of your progress, celebrate what you have accomplished and admitted to yourself when you feel like podfading. Step 8 – Fellowship: You activity seek honest feedback from your podcasting community. Step 9 – Mentorship: You actively give back what you have learned to the podcasting community and help other podcasters from podfading by becoming mentors. And now you know. About the Show Podfader, hosted by veteran podcaster Kyle Bondo, focuses on the challenges of keeping your podcast going and the drive we all have has creators to keep our podcasts going with new and interesting content. If you’re a struggling podcaster, Podfader will be your sanctuary to get you through the messy middle of any podcasting strategy. Stop fading and start casting! Yesterday we talked about shaping your vision, getting clear about your truest desires and owning them by writing powerful statements of intention. WOW! That was fun. And today, our focus is: Phase it Up - Breaking your BIG vision into tasty chunks (a.k.a. achievable phases) so you can finally live the life of your dreams. Today, we will break down your dream into phases. It can be 3, 5 or 7 phases just so you can easily achieve each phase and move one step closer to your dream. Let me give you an example: Your dream is to have an internationally renowned business that is impacting not hundreds or thousands but millions of lives. This is how you’ll map out your 2018. [ASSUMED] VISION FOR 2018: Be a bestselling author and generate $100K in revenue. GOAL DIVISION: First Quarter Phase 1 – Map your book idea and hire help (either a coach or an accountability buddy) Phase 2 – Begin writing the book alongside making a visibility plan for audience building Second Quarter Phase 3 – Start list building and begin establishing your expert authority as you write the book Phase 4 – Finish the first draft and either submit to a Publishing Agency or run it by an editor Third Quarter Phase 5 – Draw up your marketing plan and connect with a publicist for book signing and talks Phase 6 – Give your book the finishing touches and finalize the draft Fourth Quarter Phase 7 – Pre-Sell your book and ramp up the hype on your network (email, social media, local) Phase 8 – Launch and take on the world. Now you see, the vision may have seemed quite big (and clichéd), but when backed with a plan, it is realistic and achievable. Your turn: Think about your vision for 2018 and then break it down into phases. Few key factors you need to keep in mind are: Clarity (You may need it if you are starting out) Marketing & Audience Building Filling in the knowledge gap Accountability & Support Sales Mastery
