We talked about Tom Brady's ownership in the Raiders and the conflict of interest with broadcasting games for FOX. Pete Carroll made it seem like he's going to be very involved. Boomer said this is cause for concern because it's a competitive league and there are jobs on the line every week. How is Roger Goodell not getting involved in this? Boomer said the NFL wants the biggest names doing the games. Anthony in Belleville read an article that said Boomer almost went to the Chargers after his one season doing Monday Night Football. Boomer said he always wanted to play for the Bears. Boomer said he did have a chance to play for the Packers. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with audio of Aaron Boone with BT & Sal yesterday talking about having to discipline or motivate players. C-Lo and Boomer got into the Rangers. BT asked Boone about losing Juan Soto. An ‘astrologist' called into C-Mac to talk about why Pete Alonso and the Mets are not going to work out. And the Rangers lost at MSG last night. In the final segment of the hour, Gio had to pick up 4 prescriptions yesterday for the family and there was an issue.

The National Championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State didn't have as many viewers as expected. That could be because while it was happening, Trump was doing a press conference where he was taking questions. It also wasn't a very close game most of the way. Boomer thinks Jalen Hurts is hanging onto the ball too long, the same way Sam Darnold did his last 2 games. Hurts does not look like the QB who had a great performance in the Super Bowl a few years ago. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio said if Saquon Barkley wins a Super Bowl, this will officially be the worst season in the Giants 100 year history. Brian Schottenheimer will likely be the next Cowboys coach and maybe Rex Ryan will be the defensive coordinator. Andy Reid is looking forward to the challenge of playing Buffalo. Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward did their best Boomer & Phil Simms impression as they talked to each other about each other. Joe Benigno wants Pete Alonso back and he blames Stearns and Cohen. He also said, ‘screw Vlad Guerrero, I want my guy'. We heard audio of Ohtani's interpreter calling a bank pretending to be Ohtani looking for a $200,000 withdrawal. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer heard a sports argument in the hallways in the 5am hour. Gio is ashamed to say, he was part of the argument, which he hates. He was arguing with C-Mac about his takes on the Commanders/Lions game.

Tonight Boomer, Gio and Phil Simms are doing a chalk talk at Tellers. Gio wants Boomer to stay over his house tonight, but Boomer is not doing that. We talked about Phil Simms' foot and then talked about LeBron's, Ewing's and Shaq's. Gio wants Boomer to ‘Google LeBron's foot'. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with the Knicks winning in Philly and the Nets getting blown out. Lamar Jackson talked about going into Buffalo to ‘just win'. Aaron Glenn talked about being himself in interviews. Adam Schein is not happy the Bears are interviewing Arthur Smith. Chris McMonigle doesn't like B&G referencing his weight. McMonigle also likes the Wicked soundtrack. The Moment of The Day: ED pill talk. In the final segment of the show, a golf magazine did a profile on Wally Szczerbiak. We talked about AJ Brown reading a book on the sideline last weekend and how he'll probably get a lot of targets this week in a ‘squeaky wheel' spot.

He thinks the Jets are the least attractive job while the Bears are the most attractive. CLo returns for an update and has audio of Dan Campbell passionately addressing his team after last night's win. CMac exploded on-air because of the Giants win. Willie agrees with the notion that it's tougher being a fan of the team that comes close every year than a team that is rarely competitive. Bill Belichick explained his clock management philosophy late in games and how he adjusted to give Tom Brady what he wanted. Chris “Mad Dog” Russo delivered a rant about Raheem Morris and his terrible clock management on Sunday night. He had a theory about what the NFL wanted to do with the schedule if the Falcons won. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry finishes the countdown of top Moments of the Day for 2024.

The Giants can still move back up in the draft order this weekend. Willie says some teams are clearly ready for the season to end. Even with Deshaun Watson's reworked contract, Willie would be surprised if the Browns don't draft a QB if they finish with a top pick. Will Deion play a role in where his son winds up? Will Bill Belichick leave UNC before coaching a game to take an NFL job? CLo is here for his first update of the day and begins with the Lions win over the 49ers. Willie enjoyed the game and says the Lions offense is a lineman's dream. Brian Daboll does not want to revisit the Giants decision to let Saquon Barkley walk. Jeff Ulbrich said he saw no quit in Jets players and that Haason Reddick, who held out for months, is one of the most unselfish players he's been around.
