Slain New York mother Orsolya Gaal's handyman/lover avoid a murder charge by pleading guilty to manslaughter in the mother's deal.  David Bonola accepted a plead deal and will be sentenced to 25 years in prison.  Prosecutors say Bonola stabbed the 51-year-old wife and mother of two nearly 50 times in her home in April, then stuffed her dismembered body in a duffel bag and dumped it at a park. On April 16, 2022, 51-year-old Orsolya Gaal, a Hungarian-born wife and mother of two sons living in Forest Hills, New York was approached in her home between 12:30 and 12:40 A.M. by 44-year-old Mexico City native, David Bonola and viciously stabbed 55+ times, stuffed into one of her son's hockey duffel bags, and dragged 0.4 miles to the Jackie Robinson highway. The body of wife and mother Orsolya Gaal was in April 2022 inside a rolling hockey bag in New York City. This case has received a lot of media attention due to video footage that showed a man rolling the bag down the street. Police discovered a trail of blood from the bag's location that led directly back to Orsolya's home. Inside they found a very bloody crime scene. On Friday, April 15, 2022, Orsolya Gaal (51) went to see a show with friends and she stopped a bar in her neighborhood before returning to her home in Queens, New York.   Orsolya would never be seen alive by her husband and two sons again.  Orsolya was stabbed around 60 times and her carotid artery and trachea were punctured.  Her body was shoved into a large bag by her murderer.  Police released eerie CCTV footage of a male figure walking away from Orsolya's house, wheeling her body in the bag.  The murderer got less than a mile before he dumped the bag and ran.   Orsolya's body was discovered just hours later by a dog walker.  Orsolya had been having a secret affair with her handyman, David Bonola, for years.  On the night she died, she allegedly told David that their relationship was over.  He was not happy.  On April 20, he walked up to detectives investigating this case and said ‘I hear you are looking for me.'  David confessed to Orsolya's brutal murder and is now in custody. On Tuesday, three days after police say David Bonola, 44, butchered Gaal in her Forest Hills home, NYPD detectives fished out a pair of bloody brown boots from a sanitation truck after it pulled away from the suspect's home, according to law enforcement sources and witnesses Friday. “It was in the afternoon. … The cops came and stopped the truck,” said Harry Maraj, a construction worker who witnessed the moment while sitting in Tropical Jade Roti Express on Liberty Avenue. They took some bags out of the truck and opened them up,” he said. “They took a white bag from truck and a pair of brown boots. The boots weren't in any bag. They put everything in big brown paper bags and left.” Law enforcement sources say they'd already had Bonola on their radar after learning he'd done work at Gaal's home and had an intimate relationship with her. They were surveilling his home and waiting for his garbage to be picked up so they could look through it for clues, sources said. It's unclear why detectives waited for the truck to leave the home to nab the footwear. The bloody boots, which Bonola allegedly wore while stabbing Gaal nearly 60 times, were tested for DNA and are a crucial element in the case investigators are building against him, sources have said. The handyman lover of Queens mom Orsolya Gaal was charged Thursday with her murder – and police said he committed the “horrendous” crime during a fight her over their recently-ended on-off affair of two years. David Bonola, 44, was already on the NYPD's radar Wednesday evening when officers canvassing for surveillance video spotted him near the crime scene and took him back to the 112th precinct. There, Bonola made “incriminating statements” about the slaying, NYPD Chief of Detectives James Essig said at a press conference. Producers of Being Mortal have stopped production after several people working on the movie complained about Murray's behavior. Slain New York mother Orsolya Gaal's handyman/lover arrested for her murder. Police say Gaal and David Bonola had a two-year affair,  which had recently ended. David Bonola, 44, arrested for the murder of Orsolya Gaal. Investigators reveal the two had been in a romantic relationship for 2 years but it was ending. After a heated argument he stabbed her 58 times, stuffed her body in a hockey bag, and dumped her next to Forest Park in NY. He has given "incriminating statements" and acted alone.
