In the spring of 1994, the southern and eastern seaboard states were terrorized by a serial killer using the I-95 corridor to travel between states and victims. Six gay men were targeted by a drifter, working as a hustler, who would stay in their homes for a week or so…gaining their trust, before violently murdering them. He then took their credit cards and vehicle to move on to his next victim. But the famed serial killer, Gary Ray Bowles, would later insist he killed seven men, but the FBI or state of Florida declined to investigate his 7th victim. There is a murder, still a cold case, which happened a decade before, that eerily matched his 1994 murders. And may have helped Bowles perfect his modus operandi. In the year 1994, six gay men would die at the hands of a man who worked his way up and down I-95 on the East Coast. The victims were all beaten and strangled with one serial killer signature—they all had something shoved down their throat. He eluded police for months and was only caught–according to him–because he stayed in one place too long. This is the story of Gary Ray Bowles. Aleethia Foundation: Aleethia provides “Friday Night Dinners” which were originally started in October 2003 when the injured began arriving at the military medical centers. These dinners are an integral part of the healing process and also reintroduce the warrior and the family members to life outside the hospital. Aleethia brings the injured service members to a safe and accepting environment and shows them that life is still good, that they do not need to stay in their hospital rooms agonizing over what they have lost or how their lives have changed. Most of the dinners are paid for by contributions from individuals. Some corporations and organizations will sponsor the entire or partial costs of a “Friday Night Dinner.” A dinner can cost from $4,000 to $8,000 per week based upon number of attendees and venue.

Puppies enter prison at the age of 8 weeks and live with their inmate puppy-raisers for approximately 24 months. PBB programs bring the love and healing of dogs to hundreds of individuals every year. The dogs bring hope and pride to their raisers, and independence and security to those they serve.
