God's promise to supply all our needs is backed by His infinite heavenly resources, not our limited earthly means. This divine provision operates through Christ Jesus and encompasses both spiritual and physical necessities. When we put God first, He demonstrates His faithfulness by meeting our genuine needs according to His unlimited wealth. Unlike earthly riches that are temporary and limited, God's provision never depletes or diminishes.

It is so easy to overlook the way God provides for us because it's not usually in the way we want or expect. Plus, in the world's eyes it looks cheap. It looks poor. It looks like we are incapable of taking care of ourselves. It looks vulnerable and reliant upon others and we live in a world that thrives on independence.    Today I wanted to share with you the way God has moved in my life. How He has provided for myself and my family all throughout my life. My hope in sharing these stories with you is that it helps you to open your eyes to how God is working and providing in your life, so that you can start looking for it and get excited the next time it happens.    So go grab yourself a yummy drink and maybe some tissues because I believe God is going to do some work in us today. •The Gay Sisters of Chicago, Illinois became the top selling singing artists for Savoy Records In 1951, Geraldine, Evelyn and Mildred Gay went from local gospel sensations in Chicago's Church of God in Christ community to national stardom with the release of the hit single, “God Will Take Care of You”.   They travelled the world sharing their style of Gospel Music.  Because of their release “God Will Take Care of You” it became a top seller of 1 Million copies; which is the equivalent of a Platinum Album these days.  That was unheard of in the 1950's. •The Gay family, after moving to Chicago, IL were members and attended Elder Lucy Smith's All Nations Pentecostal Church on the West Side.  Elder Lucy Smith was a Pentecostal pastor and faith healer and the grandmother of Little Lucy Smith (Pianist for the Roberta Martin Singers.)  The All-Nations Pentecostal church had over 3, 000 members with a weekly radio broadcast affording the Gay Sisters access to reach people all over the Midwest. •The Gay Sisters appeared with Mahalia Jackson at Carnegie Hall, recorded several sides/singles for Savoy Records during the 1950's and, along with their brother Donald “Preacher” Gay, in the 1960's for Rush Records Checker Records, Faith Records, and other labels. •Most recently, (2014) Geraldine Gay and her brother Donald Gay teamed for projects released by The Sirens Records. Almost to the end, Geraldine could sit down and play gospel piano in a style that combined the kinetic energy of Arizona Dranes with the whispering jazz of Thomas Dorsey & Erroll Garner. You spend time with God by listening. Think of that image of Dolores from Disney's 'Encanto', with her hand up to her ear. That. Just listening. This listening is continuous, that's mediation. When you're listening you're not thinking, that's meditation. And then in the quiet listening, Love is felt. You hear God's silence, and then you feel God's Love. You're gifted His Peace, and then you notice that that too, is continuous! No matter what comes (or goes), this Peace stands. All you have to do is remember to listen for the feeling of Peace, and then that Peace dissolves everything that isn't Peace... help comes, because God is.
