Du scandale du côté de HBO Max Après la disparition abusive du film Batgirl et de divers titres d'animations quelques mois plus tôt par ce même HBO Max, c'est un nouveau tour de suppressions. The Nevers tout d'abord a officiellement été annulée alors que la partie 2 de la saison 1 n'a toujours pas été diffusée (elle devrait l'être, mais aucun détail n'a été révélé). Puis Westworld sera intégralement retirée de la plateforme HBO Max, même si la série devrait être disponible sur un autre service payant du groupe Warner. Quant à Minx, nouveauté de cette année et qui avait reçu d'excellentes critiques et qui avait pourtant été renouvelée pour une saison 2 est finalement annulée… Des annulations en séries : STEP UP Malgré l'arrivée de Christina Millan, Step Up n'aura pas pu être sauvée. La série de Starz disponible sur Lionsgate+ en France verra sa troisième saison se changer en conclusion définitive. DANGEROUS LIAISONS Alors qu'une saison 2 avait été commandée, le studio Starz est revenu sur sa décision et vient d'annuler la série qui servait de préquelle à l'histoire classique des Liaisons dangereuses et où on découvrait les jeunes Valmont et la future marquise de Merteuil. SHANTARAM Passée sous le radar, la série d'Apple TV+ avec Charlie Hunnam est annulée au bout d'une saison, une grande première pour la plateforme. Adaptée du roman de Gregory David Roberts, avec Shantaram on plongeait dans les rues de Bombay sur un fond de thriller. BLOCKBUSTER Après une seule saison mise en ligne début novembre, Netflix arrête les frais de Blockbuster, la workplace comedy centrée autour du dernier Blockbuster survivant des États-Unis. Elle partira comme elle est arrivée, dans le plus grand des silences. WARRIOR NUN Après deux saisons sur Netflix, les Warrior Nun raccrochent leurs robes. Menée par Alba Baptista, l'élue qui combat les anges, le couvent de Warrior Nun avait encore beaucoup à raconter. In this episode, we reviewed "A Kiss Before Christmas" starring James Denton and Teri Hatcher, as well as "Five More Minutes" starring Nikki DeLoach and David Haydn Jones. A Kiss before Christmas is the second Christmas movie this year where a main character goes back into an alternate reality and is tasked to find out why they were sent back to get back to their reality. Both of us liked this movie more than Next Stop Christmas. Better chemistry between the actors, and the reason why he had to go back was very clear from the beginning. There were some points of contention though, such as poor shaming. I mean Ethan had a loving wife, kids, and a big house and car, yet it still wasn't enough for him. I mean I get it that it's to keep appearances with the company, but his life was good. No one really needs a chauffeur or a Ferrari. Five More Minutes was a tear jerker, and a perfect movie. We talked to Nikki in depth about this movie. It is beautiful story and great premise. We gave A Kiss Before Christmas 3.5 stars and gave Five More Minutes 5 stars. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 67th episode of "VideoFuzzy," reporting the progress I've made in cataloging more than 2,900 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "Let's Talk About This," I explore a fourth-season episode of "Criminal Minds" where a serial killer is targeting police officers in Phoenix, Arizona, and thematic implications for our current media and social environment, including authoritarian behavior and police brutality. I trace connections through shows I encounter in this set, including Scott Lowell and Michael O'Neill's appearances in "Leverage," Mary Gross, James Denton and John Larroquette, and then trace a Golden Thread tracking Adam Arkin's appearances in my collection. In my Classic VHS-to-DVD Collection, I talk about "The Simpsons," "Skins," "South Park," "Psych," "Damages" and highlight what struck me as misdelivered lines in "Take This Sabbath Day," a significant first season episode of "The West Wing." Also, revisiting some Old Business regarding Olive Snook singing "Eternal Flame" in a second season episode of "Pushing Daisies," and in Nerd Shows, I talk about the third season episode of "The Universe" titled "Sex in Space." Although he is the first to admit that much of his success is due to his longtime friendship with writer/director/producer J.J. Abrams — who cast Grunberg in plum roles on Felicity and Alias — this lovable actor is no slouch on his own. After studying business in college, Grunberg founded a successful frozen-yogurt business and assisted film producers Dino De Laurentiis and Joel Silver before segueing into acting. The quintessential Average Joe, he quickly landed TV guest spots, small film roles and a number of commercials, often portraying blue-collar guys. But his kindergarten pal Abrams lifted him out of the ranks of no-name players by writing him a role as a sarcastic inventor on Felicity. 2001 found Grunberg briefly appearing on two Abrams shows simultaneously, when he took on a recurring part as a CIA field agent on Alias in addition to his Felicity duties. Although TV remained his primary medium, he popped up in small film roles, notably the Abrams-directed Mission: Impossible III. In 2006 he snagged his highest-profile role to date as a hapless cop who can read minds on Heroes. But Grunberg has proven that his talents aren't limited to the screen. He plays in the charity-benefiting music act Band From TV, which features a star-studded lineup including Hugh Laurie, James Denton, Bob Gulney, Jesse Spencer, Adrian Pasdar and Scott Grimes. Though the band raises money for an array of causes, Grunberg is primarily involved in epilepsy research as his oldest son, Jake, has the disorder. He also created talkaboutit.org, a website to raise awareness for epilepsy and featuring several celebrity videos, and organizes frequent benefits and fund-raisers.
