The Lord has given me a passion for motherhood and homemaking. From that passion, a ministry has birthed- No Higher Calling. There is no higher calling on my life than to be wife to Simeon and Mama to my littles. I still have so much to learn, but as I continue to grow, it is my desire to share the truths God is teaching me.

Though God saw them as highly favored, man misunderstood and deemed this couple undesirable. That did not matter to them! They knew they had received a command from God, and they were willing to fulfill it, no matter the cost.  Simeon and I talk about what it means to be wholly given to the Lord as a couple, even if that means that others misunderstand your choices.   Scriptures Referenced: Matthew 1:18-25; 5:11-12 John 8:48 I Peter 2:23-25   Resources: NHC Couples of the Bible Series   Follow my  journey by subscribing to this podcast. There is a scarlet cord woven throughout all Scripture. God had a plan for the redemption of mankind. His plan was Jesus Christ. For centuries, women wondered if they would be chosen to be the mother of the promised Redeemer. Out of the pages of history, God chose Mary to have that honored privilege.  Jesus Christ has come and paid the price for our sins. He fufilled all the longings of man's heart. Miscarriage is a devastaing loss to navigate. In 2021, Simeon and I lost a baby that we named Victory. That was a dark trial for us to walk through as a couple, but it was a loss that also affected our entire family. Though our children were young, we decided to tell them of their sibling that went to heaven.  I have been asked before for advice on helping your children process miscarriage. Every family grieves differently, and ultimately if you tell and how much you tell your child is up to the discretion of the parents. I will say from our experience, it has been good for our entire family to be able to speak of and remember our baby. In this episode, Simeon and I share advice on how you can navigate this heartbreaking topic with your children, giving space to grieve while claiming the hope that is found in Christ.    Scriptures Referenced: Psalm 30:5 Ecclesiastes 3:2, 4   Resources Referenced: NHC Family~ A Father's Heart on Miscarriage A Letter in Your Loss by Kristen Kelley   Follow my  journey by subscribing to this podcast. What is God's will for my life? That is a big question. We are asked this, espcially during our teenage years, but as time moves on, we continue to ask, "God, what is your will for me?" We tend to ask this with a 5 year or 10 year objective. We want the answer to the long-term plan.  In Psalm 119:105, God gives us a key to unlocking the mystery of this question. His Word is a lamp unto our feet. This is speaking of a light, an illumiation, for the very next step. As we follow God in obedience in the day-to-day decisions, it will set our path on the trajectory to walk out the path He has created us for.  God desires that we walk step by step. As we follow, He gives more light. But the big picture plan that we often desire is left in God's hands. This keeps us dependent on Him for daily guidance. The Christian life is walking through every moment hand in hand with our Savior.   Scriptures Referenced: Genesis 24:27 Psalm 119:105; 139:13-17 Proverbs 16:9 Jeremiah 29:11   Follow my  journey by subscribing to this podcast.
