Episode 236 is the thirteenth in a series of episodes where we begin to explore the radical right groups of the 1960's that clearly had great motive to murder president Kennedy. Emerging, alongside civil rights leaders, as a prime target for ire of white racists, anti-communists, and and a wide variety of other conservative groups, President Kennedy was a a target among them all. This aspect of the assassination and the connection of the radical right is little explored. We started many episodes back, with the story of Joseph Milteer but its rather easy to pull on that string and find much more underneath the covers. Today's episode a bonus episode covering more on the Clinton tie in and the litigation and investigations that defined those moments and the real reason Oswald was in Clinton. Today's episode supplements the two part mini-series on this topic. As a juror, listen to this episode as we tell the real story of why Lee Harvey Oswald's handlers took him to Clinton. Sit back as we explain how the social context of the story in part 1 which takes us all the way back to the House Un-American Committee and the Senate SiSS committee. Both of these government committees were actively investigating subversives at the time and engaged with Guy Bannister and others to help do so. Part 2 ties it all together and tells the story of how the raid at the Southern Conference Education Fund was an integral piece of this puzzle. Part 3 explores the larger Context of the fight in Clinton and why it was the tie in for the radical right and their violent resistance to the voter registration drives that were going on in the day. Clinton was a much larger historical factor than has previously been discussed in the JFK story. The story and explanations in this two part miniseries may be the most plausible explanation yet for what Oswald was doing in Clinton and the next episode 235 presents the details of why this seems so believable. Much of this theory comes from author Jeff Caufield's book entitled General Walker and the Murder of President Kennedy. As the jury, you be the judge of whether this was the real reason Oswald went to Clinton. And then ponder what it means for how Oswald might have been used in Dallas and just who deployed him there... Join us throughout this series on the radical right as we highlight th the nexus of ultra right wing characters that help us understand more intuitively how the radical right may have fit into the picture of the assassination. Characters that advance our understanding of the nexus of connections between a wide array of actors within the radical right. And with this exercise, we show how so many of these connections lead back to New Orleans and Dallas and to particular figures of the radical right including Guy Bannister. A nexus of connections with a common thread of hatred for President Kennedy. Even as early as 1964, rumors and serious concerns over the lone gunman theory and the evidence that might contravene it, were becoming a major concern for the government and the commission. Conspiracy theories were contrary to the government's stated narrative from the very beginning. This real-life story is more fascinating than fiction. No matter whether you are a serious researcher or a casual student, you will enjoy the fact filled narrative and story as we relive one of the most shocking moments in American History. An event that changed the nation and changed the world forever.

TrineDay's The Journey Podcast 161Dr. Jeffrey CaufieldGeneral Walker and The Murder of President KennedyPublisher R. A. “Kris” Millegan speaks with Dr. Jeffrey Caufield, author of GENERAL WALKER AND THE MURDER OF PRESIDENT KENNEDY: The Extensive New Evidence of a Radical-Right Conspiracy, meticulously researched over 25 years using documents from the National Archives, the FBI, other archival sources, and many personal interviews.Topics discussed:His book is chock-full of information, especially about Lee Harvey Oswald. Each chapter has a summary at the end, making for easy reading.Oswald was often in Guy Banister's office in New Orleans in the summer of 1963. Banister was former head of the FBI in Chicago and was a close friend of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.Banister and those around him were far-right anti-communists and rabid racists who tarred the civil rights movement as communist to demonize it and shut it down. The Louisiana Un-American Committee, comprised of vicious Klansmen, was Banister's organization. The US was on the verge of a second civil war over civil rights, especially in the South. Joseph Milteer, caught on tape predicting that JFK would be killed by a shooter with a high-powered rifle from an office building, was friends not only with Guy Bannister but also with the right-wing General Walker. The Warren Commission concluded Oswald shot at General Walker in his home. More likely Oswald was accused to smear him as a leftist capable of violence.GENERAL WALKER AND THE MURDER OF PRESIDENT KENNEDYThe Extensive New Evidence of a Radical-Right ConspiracyAvailable at the usual sellers. It is a story we're all pretty sure we know. On a fateful day in Dallas, Lee Harvey Oswald—working alone—shot President John F. Kennedy. End of story.Or is it?In General Walker and the Murder of President Kennedy: The Extensive New Evidence of a Radical-Right Conspiracy, author Jeffrey H. Caufield explores the forces which led Oswald to be in Dallas that day. Unlike many theorists, however, Dr. Caufield applies acquired academic methodology in rigorously researching the story through public records, private correspondence, and a number of sources not available to the general public until the Freedom of Information Act released them.Caufield explains that when President Kennedy relieved Major General Edwin A. Walker of his command in Germany in 1961, he (Kennedy) started the chain of events that would lead to his own death. In June 1963, President Kennedy proposed his sweeping Civil Rights Act bill that would abolish the sacred Southern institution of segregation. In response, the segregationists threatened a second Civil War that culminated in the murder of JFK.Working with a who's who of fellow right-wing radicals (including some of the most powerful military and political leaders of the time), Walker was in the forefront of a plot to assassinate a large number of people in power positions in both government and industry. This plot, masterminded by Walker, evolved into a plan to assassinate President Kennedy and made Oswald an unwitting pawn in one of our country's greatest historical mysteries.Meticulously researched over 25 years using documents from the National Archives, the FBI, and other archival sources—along with extensive personal interviews—this book presents a massive amount of new evidence. Never before has there been such compelling proof of the involvement of the radical right and General Walker in the murder of the president.
JFK researchers Don Jeffries and William Law joined guest host Richard Syrett (Twitter) to discuss the connections between Dean Andrews, Clay Shaw, Guy Bannister, and Lee Harvey Oswald, and others, as part of their continued search for the truth in JFK's assassination. Jeffries explained the significance of the title of their book, "Pipe the Bimbo in Red," as a reference to a scene in Oliver Stone's 1991 film "JFK" featuring Dean Andrews and Jim Garrison. Law emphasized how the phrase relates to Andrews' and Garrison's relationship, linking it to the themes in the book.Jeffries delved into the intricacies of the connections between various individuals involved in the JFK assassination, noting Andrews' involvement, and the significance in bringing attention to the mysterious phone call from "Clay Bertrand," possibly Shaw, which sparked interest in Garrison's investigation. Law highlighted Andrews' use of colorful language and his portrayal in the media, and testimony to the FBI and the Warren Commission, suggesting that he may have been manipulated. They discussed Andrews' character, his interactions with Garrison, and his testimony regarding the Kennedy assassination. Both delved into the complex connections between various individuals involved in the New Orleans nexus, including Shaw, Bannister, and Oswald. They discussed Shaw's ties to intelligence agencies, Banister's association with Oswald, and the peculiar circumstances surrounding these relationships. Additionally, they examined the role of other figures like Warren DeBrue and David Ferrie, highlighting the interconnectedness of the events and individuals surrounding the Kennedy assassination in New Orleans.Jeffries elaborated further on Shaw's connections, including ties to powerful interests, such as intelligence agencies and Operation Paperclip. Shaw's involvement suggests deeper complexities behind the JFK assassination, he noted. Jeffries touched on Bannister's background as a former FBI employee with extreme right-wing views. Bannister's proximity to Oswald's activities raises questions about their relationship and possible involvement in the assassination plot, he added. They emphasized the importance of New Orleans in the JFK assassination narrative, highlighting the presence of various intelligence agencies, suspicious connections, and the role of key figures like Warren DeBrue. Jeffries suggested that Oswald may have been part of a false defection program and had deeper connections than commonly portrayed. They challenged the notion of Oswald as a lone malcontent and instead theorized he was part of a larger, more complex network of relationships that may have been involved in the assassination plot.------------------------------------------------The remainder of the program featured Open Lines. Mike in Washington State brought up nutrition, specifically praising Dr. Joel Wallach's work and attributing his weight loss success to Wallach's methods. He emphasized the importance of nutrition for health, sharing a personal anecdote about his family's improved well-being.Ted, who was trucking through New Mexico, shared a detailed account regarding underground bases and various gases venting from these facilities, including ionized blue smoke. He speculated on the origins of these gases, mentioning weather manipulation and potential involvement of different factions, such as governmental and extraterrestrial entities.Douglas in Iowa shared a profound spiritual experience in which he felt he underwent time travel while sitting at a table with others. In this week's episode we will look at Lee Oswald's mysterious time in New Orleans in the Summer of 1963, just a few short months before the assassination. Who was Guy Bannister and David Ferrie and what kind of role could they have played in the assassination? Was Oswald there playing a role and if so, WHY?
Last season on Solving JFK, we examined some of the most contentious issues in the case – weighing the arguments and evidence from both Warren Report defenders and critics – to see which is most credible on each individual point. In doing that, we learned that, while many evidentiary questions are a close call, Oswald was not likely the lone assassin of President Kennedy. But, we did not determine whether Oswald was involved in the assassination in some other way. We didn't look at Oswald's motives or his back story. To fully understand Oswald's role in the assassination, if he had one, and what motivated him, we need to zoom in on Oswald's life and what he was like as a person. That's why this season on Solving JFK, we'll try to answer the question “Who Was Lee Harvey Oswald, Really?” by looking at Oswald's history and the cast of characters he was involved with, from George DeMohrenschildt and Ruth Paine to David Ferrie and Guy Bannister. What can we learn from Oswald's time in the military or his defection to Russia? Did Oswald really travel to Mexico City? And what's up with all of the people impersonating him? We'll also get to the General Walker incident and the famous backyard photos. So, join us for Season 2 of Solving JFK. New Episodes return on November 22 everywhere podcasts are available. Episode 180 covers the The Houma bunker raid, of the Schlumberger Wells Company munitions and arms cache, which took place in the late summer of 1961. Later it was found that participants in the raid included some individuals who were also implicated in the assassination plot related to President Kennedy. The participants in the raid included David Ferrie, Sergio Aracha Smith, Rancier Blaise Ehlinger, Carlos Quiroga, Layton Martins, Luis Rabel Nunez, Gordon Novel, Novel's wife Marlene Mancuso and Andrew Blackmon, an ex-Marine.The munitions stored at the compound were thought to have been placed there by the CIA under a contract with Schlumberger and were thought to have originally been designated for use in a diversionary portion of the Bay of Pigs, or to be used in the OAS revolt of the French Generals against Charles DeGaul. It turns out that they were not used in either event, and the CIA made a decision to remove them from the bunker after Schlumberger expressed their unhappiness over the Bay of Pigs outcome. As a result the CIA directed a group of covert operatives which included David Ferrie to remove the arms cache over a period of several months, in several different trips to Houma. They munitions were distribute to several locations including David Ferrie's apartment, the New Orleans offices of Guy Bannister at 544 Camp Street, and to the Lake Pontchartrain anti-Castro Cuban training camp owned by William McClaney, which was raided by the FBI in July, 1963.Even as early as 1964, rumors and serious concerns over the lone gunman theory and the evidence that might contravene it, were becoming a major concern for the government and the commission.
Episode 170 is part 2 in a three part series of bonus episodes which supplement our story of the Garrison investigation in New Orleans and the related trial of Clay Shaw. Joan Mellen is the author of a well done investigative book entitled A Farewell to Justice. In a rare appearance to promote her book, Ms. Mellen participated in a radio interview that was presented by radio station WBAI in Brooklyn on the show Taking Aim. The conversation aired in October 2005, just prior to her book coming out. ..and it is quite revealing. Hear Ms. Mellon in an intimate conversation about some of the most important investigative work done around the assassination itself and the Garrison investigation. And, as a bonus, the interview was conducted by Ralph Shoenman and Mya Shone. Shone was a documentary filmmaker and Shoenman was a left wing activist who was involved in some of the original investigative work on the Kennedy assassination and who made acquaintance with Mark Lane. Shoenman had previously gone to work for Bertrand Russell in 1960, and he was a major force behind Bertrand Russell's important and highly influential/controversial 1964 article entitled 16 Questions on the Assassination. Russell was one of the most influential philosophers and social activists of the 20th century and he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1950. Russell would later break with Shoenman, citing various allegations of wrongdoing while working at Russell's foundation (and) in an attempt to distance himself from some of Shoenman's more radical activities. And, as a bonus, the interview was conducted by Ralph Shoenman and Mya Shone. Today's episode reveals more detail on why Robert Kennedy so opposed the Garrison investigation. Episode 169 is part 1 in a series of bonus episodes which supplement our story of the Garrison investigation in New Orleans and the related trial of Clay Shaw. Episode 167 is the seventeenth in a new series of episodes that chronicle the story of the Garrison investigation in New Orleans and the related trial of Clay Shaw. Today's episode is the second and last in two part multi-espisode mini series on Rose Cherami. You may recall that the story of Rose Cherami dons the opening scene of the movie JFK. She was a stripper and a prostitute and a drug mule and a mother. And she worked for Jack Ruby at one point. She is one of a unique handful of witnesses who expressed knowledge of the assassination before the assassination actually occurred and she met with a mysterious death within two years of our president's murder. Her story was not featured in the Warren Commission but her fantastic story was unearthed soon after by Jim Garrison and his team, including Frances Fruge who was on loan to Garrison from the Louisiana State Police. Fruge was the officer who originally interacted with Rose and heard her claim of the impending assassination for the first time on the night of November 20th, 1963. Her story was investigated further by the House Select Committee on Assassinations. Ironically, Cherami was admitted for drug detoxification on the night of the 20th at East Louisiana State Hospital. The same hospital where Lee Harvey Oswald had applied for a job while in the Clinton/Jackson area. It was a very small world. Listen to these three episodes and see how the characters begin to draw closer together in relation to one another. As the ever deepening analysis draws out the players, and exposes the relationships that most clearly existed. Episode 153 is the third in a new series of episodes that chronicle the story of the Garrison investigation in New Orleans and the related trial of Clay Shaw. This episode gives Garrison the floor in 1967, recorded at a lecture attended by a supportive audience. He outlines his view (as the facts appeared to him at that moment) of what happened in the assassination. Few venues (including the 30 minute NBC rebuttal, which you also will hear later in the series) offer such a relaxed forum without a time constraint. A forum that a rare and relaxed glimpse of Jim Garrison and his mindset during that period of time. Jim Garrison was the New Orleans district attorney and, a result of his investigation into the murder of JFK, Clay Shaw was indicted by a grand jury and tried on conspiracy charges to assassinate the president. It was the only criminal trial ever conducted in the United States related to the president's murder. Garrison's investigation and trial became the inspiration and partial basis for Oliver Stone's movie JFK. Today's episode introduces us to more Jim Garrison's thinking as a precursor to understanding the details of the Clay Shaw trial and to help in our own understanding of the actions taken by Garrison and his thinking which shaped the events of the grand jury investigation and the subsequent trial. All of these elements are designed to, collectively, help you as the juror determine Garrison's proper place in the history of the JFK assassination story. Episode 107 is the eighth episode in season two of JFK The Enduring Secret. In Episode 107, we stop to take a pause and revisit the entire timeline of the Life of Lee Harvey Oswald. Our season two starts with the story that is Lee Harvey Oswald, the central character in the JFK assassination and some say, to know Oswald, is key to determining whether he truly was the lone gunman or whether he was part of a conspiracy, or whether he was just a patsy. And to better understand Oswald, we begin to get closer to the answer of who really killed JFK. Because there are many episodes on Oswald and they are presented in various ways, the timeline is important and provides appropriate reference to the listener before we get too far into the story of Lee Harvey Oswald. It's a bit of a wande,r but its worth going on this wander. Episode 107 is the complete timeline and there will be a series of published episodes after 107 is published that are "clips" or portions of episode 107 that explain the timeline for each of the various "seasons" in Oswald's life. Join us for the whole series of episodes about the fantastic goings on that encompass this part of the JFK story. Our episodes have now begun to explore an array of matters that dive into a deeper darkness related to what went on that day in Dallas and in the period before and after the assassination. Matters that possibly point to a wider and more sinister plot to kill the president and that clearly call into question the theory that there was a lone assassin. Complex cases without an eyewitness that can actually identify the shooter make the forensic and circumstantial evidence that much more important. Ironically, problems abound with much of the evidence in this case. Evidence that is complex, incomplete and sometimes conflicting. Even as early as 1964, rumors and serious concerns over the lone gunman theory and the evidence that might contravene it, were becoming a major concern for the government and the commission. Beginning in 1960, millionaire Robert DePugh - fashy loner pedo - founds the loose conglomeration of anti-communist militias called "The Minutemen", beholden only to an imaginary inner council. With an absurd level of state-sponsored impunity, DePugh commits crime after insane crime only for the authorities to look the other way time and again. Included in his inner circle are Robert N. Taylor, Odinist right-wing "libertarian" thought-leader and god-awful folk singer, as well as three stars of the 1991 film, JFK: Clay Shaw, the shifty New Orleans businessman, David Ferrie, lunatic pilot and alleged associate of Lee Harvey Oswald, and Guy Bannister, FBI employee and Minutemen coordinator. At what point does your fascist militia cease to be 'infiltrated' and simply becomes a para-state entity? Find out in this episode! The Lone Gunman Podcast host ROB CLARK discusses General Edwin Walker. Walker is one of the most interesting characters in JFK assassination research. Did Lee Harvey Oswald really shoot at him? This is Clark's third quarterly guest host spot for the Midnight Writer News Show. Listen to his previous episodes on Guy Bannister and Larry Crafard at MidnightWriterNews.com. As always, the staff of MWN highly suggests listening to the "Lone Gunman Podcast" and Rob's appearances on "The Ochelli Effect."
ROB CLARK, quarterly guest host of the Midnight Writer News Show and full-time host of The Lone Gunman Podcast, returns to MWN to continue his JFK assassination profile series. In Clark's last appearance as MWN guest host (episode 052), he covered the life of Guy Bannister. In this episode, his focus is Larry Crafard, ally and employee of Jack Ruby at the Carousel Club. He testified before the Warren Commission, and some researchers have suggested that Crafard was one of the Oswald impersonators before the assassination. Another fascinating effort from our own Lone Gunman, himself. For our free archives, go to www.MidnightWriterNews.com.
