Episode 292 is the fifth episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder. David Belin, the celebrated Warren Commission attorney called it the "Rosetta Stone" of the JFK assassination. It may very well be... just that! In this episode we take a step back and attempt to provide an overview of the problems in the case and the areas and issues to be mindful of as we progress through the remainder of the series. Episode 5 gives a real peak at what is to come next. This episode also begins a process of piecing evidence in the Tippit case together and shedding light on critical issues surrounding the assassination investigation as a whole. In this mini-series, we examine the evidence, and delve into the bewildering array of contradictory eyewitness testimonies, from those who struggled to identify Oswald, to others like Aquilla Clemens, who bravely reported seeing not one, but two men at the murder scene, neither resembling Oswald. And we hear of witnesses that were subsequently threatened into silence or submission. We'll review the questionable ballistics evidence: bullets and shells of different manufacturers with marks that mysteriously vanished, and a chain of custody so compromised it renders the evidence highly suspect. And then, there's the enigma of Oswald's wallet, containing his ID and an alias, inexplicably found at the Tippit murder scene by Dallas police Captain Westbrook, even as the official story claims it was taken from Oswald upon his arrest at the Texas Theatre. We begin with a group of core episodes that cover the murder itself. And then we work our way backwards and forwards...finally capturing Lee Harvey Oswald at the Texas Theatre. This raises uncomfortable questions about the Dallas Police Department itself. We scrutinize the actions of officers like Captain William Westbrook and Sergeant Gerald Hill, whose movements, statements, and handling of evidence on November 22nd, 1963, appear less like routine police work, and more like a deliberate effort to frame Lee Harvey Oswald. Was this simply incompetence, or did elements within the DPD actively participate in a cover-up? And what of J.D. Tippit himself? We will cover details about his personal life: a financially burdened veteran suffering from war trauma, a man with an alleged "dark side" and connections to the right-wing underworld, including Jack Ruby. We'll track his frantic, agitated behavior and unusual movements in the hour before his death…movements which suggest he was not merely on routine patrol, but actively searching for someone, possibly Oswald, under direct orders—orders that mysteriously bypassed official police radio channels. And of course…all of this has lead some very well respected researchers such as John Armstrong to theorize about a "two Oswalds" scenario in this murder, where multiple individuals resembling Oswald played roles in a larger deception.
Episode 291 is the fourth episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder. It is completely dedicated to the story of witness Acquilla Clemons. David Belin, the celebrated Warren Commission attorney called this murder the "Rosetta Stone" of the JFK assassination. It may very well be... just that! In this episode we continue with coverage at the crime scene and address a little known witness that the authorities sidestepped. She was discovered by Vincent Salandria working with Mark Lane at the time. Mrs. Clemons eventually (and reluctantly) participated in several interviews... including one with Mark Lane in his quest to produce the book (and later the film) Rush to Judgement. She is considered a key but controversial witness in that her account differs markedly from the official witnesses interviewed by the authorities. That day, she saw two men at the scene, one short and kind of chunky and one who was tall. After the shooting, one of the men motioned to the other, and then both went in different directions down 10th street. This narrative was embraced by certain researchers including John Armstrong who integrated it with his complex theory of the two Oswalds. She is corroborated by several others including witness Frank Wright and an anonymous letter written to Playboy magazine by a person who claimed that he was also there at the scene and that at least six others witnessed the same thing. Other witnesses who were part of the official record (such as Virginia Davis and Sam Guinyard) may have seen elements of what she saw. These first few episodes of the mini-series provide a deep dive into those events at the crime scene itself. There is so much more to come. In this mini-series, we examine the evidence, and delve into the bewildering array of contradictory eyewitness testimonies, from those who struggled to identify Oswald, to others like todays focus on Aquilla Clemons, who bravely reported seeing not one, but two men at the murder scene, neither resembling Oswald. And we hear of witnesses such as Mrs. Clemons that were subsequently threatened into silence or submission. Ed opperman interview Mark Shaw about the murder of Dorothy KilgallenWas What's My Line TV Star, media icon, and crack investigative reporter and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen murdered for writing a tell-all book about the JFK assassination? If so, is the main suspect in her death still at large? These questions and more are answered in former CNN, ESPN, and USA Today legal analyst Mark Shaw's 25th book, The Reporter Who Knew Too Much. Through discovery of never-before-seen videotaped eyewitness interviews with those closest to Kilgallen and secret government documents, Shaw unfolds a “whodunit” murder mystery featuring suspects including Frank Sinatra, J. Edgar Hoover, Mafia Don Carlos Marcello and a "Mystery Man" who may have silenced Kilgallen. All while by presenting through Kilgallen's eyes the most compelling evidence about the JFK assassinations since the House Select Committee on Assassination's investigation in the 1970s.Called by the New York Post, “the most powerful female voice in America,” and by acclaimed author Mark Lane the “the only serious journalist in America who was concerned with who killed John Kennedy and getting all of the facts about the assassination,” Kilgallen's official cause of death reported as an overdose of barbiturates combined with alcohol, has always been suspect since no investigation occurred despite the death scene having been staged. Shaw proves Kilgallen, a remarkable woman who broke the "glass ceiling" before the term became fashionable, was denied the justice she deserved, that is until now. In Part Two of our Summer Special featuring a panel of movie industry experts, we analyse the most cherished racing movies; the classic Grand Prix (1966) as well as other celebrated motorsport films Rush (2013), Days of Thunder (1990) and Le Mans (1971). Are they any good as movies and what does it take to create a film that appeals to all audiences, not just motorsport enthusiasts? And what, if anything, did this summer's Apple blockbuster F1 Movie with Brad Pitt take from them? We explore how well the various stories and plotlines work and the all-important action sequences. We reveal which cues they take from each other. How are female characters depicted and how does their treatment compare across the decades? Which films were commercially successful and which ones flopped? Finally, if the master rolls of all these films were in a burning warehouse and only one could be saved for posterity, which one would the experts rescue? The answer may surprise you. With James Allen in the studio are: Eddie Hamilton, editor of Top Gun Maverick and the two most recent Mission Impossible films. Adrian Wootton OBE, runs the British Film Commission (encouraging productions like F1 to film in the UK). Mark Lane is an award-winning movie producer, with over 40 credits including I am not a serial Killer and The Cut. Nick Manzi is a producer with a string of hits from Blitz to Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and a lifelong F1 enthusiast. This week we gather a stellar line-up of movie industry insiders as we break down the summer blockbuster F1 Movie, which has now earned over half a billion dollars at the box office, so deserves some deeper consideration. Having earlier looked at it from the point of view of journalists and fans, we now get the movie experts to cast an eye over it; is it technically a good film? How well does the story work, and what about the all-important action sequences? How does the treatment of female characters compare? And do movies like this do any long-term good for the sport? In Part II next week, the panel will compare it with the 1960s classic Grand Prix as well as other classic motorsport films Rush, Days of Thunder and Le Mans. Are they any good as movies? And what does it take to create a movie that appeals to all audiences, not just motorsport enthusiasts? This week's HortWeek Podcast guest, TV presenter and garden designer Mark Lane, started gardening young although he initially studied art history and worked in publishing for RIBA and Thames & Hudson. After a car crash in 2000, a horticultural therapist and his husband suggested a new horticulture career as a designer and in the media. His new book, The Future of Gardens, published this May, is part of a series of imaginative future visions on a wide range of subjects, written by experts, academics, journalists and leading pop-culture figures. For his installment, Mark takes a "positive look at gardening with regards to the future of gardens. And of course, it has to cover everything from the climate crisis to being, you know, an adaptable and resilient gardener. He sees AI as limited to "being a great assistant. I don't think it will take over with regards to gardening or garden design" but with great potential to help with plant selection and speed up processes. With an eye on climate resilience, Mark has been exploring and implementing xeriscaping concepts into his garden:"By having a mixture and increasing that biodiversity of plants you're...more likely to have a garden that's going to flourish because while some will do well when it's really hot, others will do better when it's a bit wetter and a bit warmer."His book considers permaculture, regenerative agriculture and biophilia in the context of a broad definition of "Horticulture with a capital 'H'" that includes "floristry, agriculture, the perfume industry, anything you could possibly think of when it comes to plants." He reveals how apps and a drone means he is "able to go around areas in gardens, especially large gardens where I can't get my wheelchair, so I can still have my eyes and I can still go and see those places. So it's about again using this sort of future tech, which a lot of it is already here."Mark and Matt discuss the ultimate in futuristic horticulture, growing in space, which Mark says, is not just a matter of overcoming a technical challenge and the benefits of eating fresh produce:"[Astronauts are] going to be away for a long period of time and being able to undertake a task such as gardening reconnects them to Earth. So it actually reconnects them back to where they came from and that's really going to be very important for their for their mindset more than anything else.As a wheelchair user, Mark shares his perspective on how landowners can and should make access to parks, gardens and the countryside easier for all:He adds: " I do strongly believe that it doesn't matter whether you have a physical impairment or not, you can enjoy gardening. And you just have to really think a little bit outside the box. You have to be very, very honest with yourself and sort of assess yourself and see what it is that you can and you cannot do...and then try and adapt your gardening because of that."And as an owner of dogs, Mark gives us his take on the controversial topic of dogs, gardens and garden centres. Finally he gives an update on his plans with his ongoing presence on Morning Live keeping him busy, appearances at flower shows such as RHS Hampton Court Flower Festival, another book due "on cost-wise gardening" to come out in May 2026, as well as his garden design practice."I'm still designing the gardens, but I'm now having to limit the number of gardens that I do...here I used to do on average between 8 or 10 projects a year, I now do anywhere between 2 and 3, just because I just don't really have the time now, because I'm just constantly doing stuff." Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Jeff's recent article on Kennedy's and King - The JFK Files Volume II: Pieces of the Assassination Puzzle Lee Harvey Oswald, A Lone Gunman? Find here. 20 years ago, Jeff was a managing editor for the Hot Springs Village Noise newspaper, a retirement centre in Arkansas. When Jeff relocated to Texas, he became absorbed in the JFK assassination research. Jeff would occasionally draft small articles about his JFK findings and send them into the Hot Springs Village Noise. Public interest in the retirement community was sparked with people requesting more Kennedy write ups from Jeff. In 2021 it was decided a monthly column would be written by Jeff, titled "The JFK Files". Chris Gallop encouraged Jeff to publish a collection of Jeff's articles and his interviews. DPD radio transcripts show Officer L.L. Hill at Cobb Stadium investigating a sighting of a man with a rifle on Nov. 22/63. When questioned by Jeff years later, Mr. Hill denied that he was ever at Cobb Stadium on the day of JFK's assassination. Researcher Gary Shaw located the license number and registration of the suspect at Cobb Stadium, both were fictitious. Jeff brought up these details to Mark Lane, but hasn't seen any evidence of an investigation into the matter. Jeff wrote a three part article on Gaeton Fonzi and his incredible research for George magazine. "The Last Investigation" by Gaeton Fonzi, with foreword by Dick Russell. Find here. Marie Fonzi chatted with Jeff about Gaeton so he could learn about the more intimate and personal side of Gaeton. Gaeton and Marie danced around their kitchen after Senator Schweiker called Gaeton to solve the Kennedy assassination. While spending time and researching with Mary Ferrell, Jeff came across a CIA document that fascinated him. Students at Arlington U in Texas, notified authorities - Russell W. McLarry had made threatening comments against JFK. Jeff was able to locate and interview Russell McLarry, and question him about his arrest experience. Russell had to come up with bail money, and go through the court process, in order to clear his name in the investigation. McLarry was arrested weeks after the assassination. What do Black Op Radio listeners think of that? JFK Pallbearer Tim Cheek was interviewed, giving insight into the events he participated in the night before JFK's funeral. Jeff interviewed DPD Officer Lee Sanders regarding HSCA officers attempting to recreate the shootings from the 6th floor. Sanders told Jeff that none of the officers believed Oswald shot Kennedy from the 6th floor window. Senator Schweiker "there appeared to be fingerprints of the intelligence agencies all over JFK's assassination". CIA operatives were in the court room after Lee Harvey Oswald's arrest in New Orleans in August of 1963. Len & Jeff discuss different players & aspects of the JFK assassination cover up. Len feels the CIA are just the foot soldiers for the intelligence community, the masters are entities lie Simon & Cromwell. Dulles, Lansdale, Cabell brothers, Joannides and the 6th Floor Museum are all complicit in the cover up of JFK's murder. Anna Paulina Luna has specifically asked for the Joannides file from the CIA, the CIA has not complied. Why? Jeff interviewed a great niece of Guy Bannister who felt Oswald was in Bannister's office being "observed" for Hoover. CIA didn't interview Lee Oswald after he returned to the United States with his Russian bride after "defecting"? When Trump was ready to release the JFK files four years ago, something happened, and the next day, he rescinded. Why? From the top down, the government agencies have tried to keep a lid on the truth of JFK's assassination. Many people who have "found" or wanted to release information they...

Jim's latest book "The JFK Assassination Chokeholds: That Prove There Was A Conspiracy" - Find here. National Archives - JFK Files - Read here. Jim recommends "The Man Who Knew Too Much" by Dick Russell. Purchase Book Here Despite new information about Oswald in the recently released JFK files, mainstream media says "nothing new". In the files there is more info about Oswald's 201 file, Mexico City, Helsinki, Castro etc.. When Oswald was released from the Marines it was from a "hardship discharge", using Marguerite's injuries as an excuse. Typically it takes a few months for the marines to investigate hardship claims but Lee's was approved with in just 11 days. When Lee left the Marines, it was 9 months earlier than when he was scheduled to be released. Rosaleen Quinn who dated Oswald while he was in California recalled Lee was more fluent in Russian than she was. After being discharged, Oswald was only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for 72 hours before heading to New Orleans. Oswald leaves from New Orleans to France, using the same travel agency as the International Trade Mart. Coincidence? Why was Oswald going to Helsinki important? Was it because Helsinki processed visas within 48 hours? After travelling on a freighter to Europe, Oswald goes to Helsinki & stayed at the Hotel Torni. How did Oswald afford this? Oswald participated in a planned, fake defection program. Without government assistance, how would he afford a 4 star hotel? The Warren Commission avoided going into the intricate details of Oswald's movements and activity in Helsinki. WC investigator David Slawson was definitely curious about Oswald's trip to Helsinki. The CIA and FBI were the main sources of information for the Warren Commission. In 1963-1964, early investigators such as Mark Lane & Joachim Joesten who suspected CIA and government involvement. CIA 1971 memo - appears to have been debate in the CIA whether Kostikov was ever involved in Dept 13. Have you read the Lopez Report? Read here. If Oswald was in Mexico City, why isn't there any photographs or video of Oswald going into the different embassies? Why has the CIA never been able to produce a tape of Oswald's voice? On the Nov 22nd the CIA sent a tape of what they said was Oswald's voice to the FBI interrogating Oswald in Dallas. David Atlee Phillips put out a cover story - all of the Oswald tapes had been destroyed. The Lopez report contradicts this. Dan Hardway and Edwin Lopez wrote up bills of indictment for both Phillips and Anne Goodpasture Anne Goodpasture was Winston Scott's exec assistant. Pulse camera outside of the Cuban Embassy, activated by the door of the Cuban consulate opening & closing. Such a sensitive camera, yet no photos of Oswald? David Phillips claimed the camera was "out that day". The CIA did not want this information included in the volumes of the HSCA investigation. Was the whole Mexico City event a charade? Was the story about Kostikov the capper on the charade with Oswald? Was Oswald working with Kostikov and at the direction of the KGB? The KGB may have hired Richard Case Nagell to find out who was behind the pending plot to kill JFK. Jim recommends watching the 2014 AARC interview with Dan Hardway & Edwin 'Eddie' Lopez. Watch here. Hardway and Lopez worked out of CIA headquarters reviewing files and information until Joannides complicated matters. After Joannides got involved in hampering the investigation, files would be slow and redacted. The HSCA was shut down at the end of 1978 and decreased to a skeleton crew prior to publishing. What wasn't released in the HSCA volumes, was to be classified until 2029. Oliver Stone's "JFK" changed all of that. Steve has been keeping busy, slowly going through the 80,000 pages from the recently declassified JFK files. Seasoned JFK researchers who know the historic material will be able to make sense of the new JFK files. Len & Steve discuss the JFK Task Force headed by Congresswoman Anna Luna & the recent hearings. Steve finds Luna as being forthcoming & capable to the task of heading this new JFK task force. Steve is proud of his friendship with JFK researcher & author, Jefferson Morley, founder of JFK Facts website. Visit here. Oliver Stone will never be forgotten by the JFK researching community. His contributions have been priceless. The JFK movie by Oliver Stone was released in 1992, 2nd documentary Destiny Betrayed was 2021. Mr. X played by Donald Sutherland was based off the personal testimony of Col. L.Fletcher Prouty. It was beneficial to the research committee to have Oliver Stone at the first JFK hearing of the Luna Committee in Congress. They murdered JFK & got away with it, with Dulles guarding all information. Earl Warren and others never wanted to head the commission, they were ordered to by President Lyndon B. Johnson. Steve discusses the importance of the cover up with Len mentioning CE #399 and that unbelievable lie. All of the new observations fail to produce any evidence of the government’s false claims that "Oswald did it". Steve met Mark Lane in 1966 shortly after the release of Rush To Judgment. Mark introduced Steve to Jim Garrison. Jim wanted to know if Steve had any skills when Steve offered to volunteer to help Jim with his JFK investigation. Steve had read all 26 volumes of Warren Commission testimony & exhibits, with experience in photography at UCLA. Overloaded with film & photographic evidence, Garrison hired Steve as a forensic investigator in charge of this material. Steve feels the biggest discovery from this photographic & video evidence is the Zapruder film! Garrison sent Steve to the National Archives to view the unedited version of the Zapruder film. It was shockingly clear. Steve was also communicating with a liason with French Intelligence SDECE & was sent to Paris in June of 1968. French Intelligence gave Steve a copy of their near perfect copy of the Zapruder film. Film was disguised for trip to USA. Steve made copies to anyone who wanted one, he sent many films to JFK assassination researchers. JFK couldn't have been shot from the front & the back, by anyone shooting from the 6th floor of the TSBD building. Was What's My Line TV Star, media icon, and crack investigative reporter and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen murdered for writing a tell-all book about the JFK assassination? Shaw proves Kilgallen, a remarkable woman who broke the "glass ceiling" before the term became fashionable, was denied the justice she deserved, that is until now.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Mark Lane - child abuse at migrant detention centersMar 6, 2024At the time of recording, Mark Lane was the CEO of Minority Humanitarian Foundation. They work with immigrants and the disenfranchised refugee population, giving them shelter, support and some degree of hope. This interview was recorded under the Trump Administration, whose anti-immigrant mantra made life not only difficult but in many cases inhuman.Children would literally be kept in cages, and many children went missing during the naturalisation process. What happened to most of these children, separated from their parents by the ICE people, is both unknown and un-investigated.The fact Trump's policies towards these people directly made profitable business models, of which certain members of his administration had vested interests in, is obviously just a happy coincidence.Facebook Page : Minority Humanitarian Foundation Webpage : Minority Humanitarian Foundation Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

2024 has been a remarkable year for the Irish CTF, Capture the Flag, team, and doubly so for team Captain Cillian Collins. Fresh from leading the team to their highest ever finish in ENISA's European Cybersecurity Challenge, Collins became the first Irish player selected for Team Europe and was a leading figure in that team as they won the International Cybersecurity Challenge CTF this week in Santiago, Chile. The win was Team Europe's third in a row, facing challenges from teams representing Asia, Oceania, USA, Africa, Latin America and Canada, across two days of challenges. The team became the first to win each individual day of competition as well as the overall prize. The win came less than three weeks after Collins captained the Irish team to their highest finish of 16th at the European Cybersecurity Challenge in Turin, Italy, where the Irish competed against 31 teams from Europe plus six guest countries including the US, Singapore, Canada and Costa Rica. 16th place was a jump of nine places in 2023, by a team run by volunteers and one one of the smallest budgets in the competition, and represents huge progress by the team under manager Mark Lane and head coaches Emmet Leahy and Daniel Cahill, themselves both former Team Ireland captains. It's also been a remarkable personal journey for Collins who only started playing CTFs in 2021, "I was first introduced to CTFs when qualifying for the Irish team competing at ECSC Prague in 2021. After this I competed at ZeroDays CTF in Dublin where I won the Colleges category with my team in both 2022 and 2023," said Collins. "I've been involved in the Irish team ever since and was nominated by Mark Lane for Team Europe this year. After an intense selection process I was chosen to compete in Chile at the ICC where we competed against teams from North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America - finishing in 1st place!". The improvement in the team has been marked this year. When asked what's behind the advances Collins explained that the knowledge sharing from more experienced players has helped accelerate the learning of newer players "We now have former players such as Daniel Cahill and Emmet Leahy who are team coaches and share what they have learned from past competitions." "Mark Lane has been instrumental in organising the team and putting together regular bootcamps at TU Dublin campus where the team have worked together in preparation for these competitions. And that hard work has paid off. It has been incredibly rewarding to see Ireland so high on the leaderboard! We had the largest improvement of any ECSC team this year and it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of players and coaches." Team manager Mark Lane was glowing in his praise of his team captain "Cillian has come on an incredible distance in the three years since he joined the team. His drive and desire to learn have been great to watch, and it's so rewarding to see his continued development as a player and as captain. I'd no hesitation nominating him to Team Europe and I wasn't surprised to see him becoming the first Irish player to be chosen. "He still has so much potential, and I could see him as a future captain of the European team. His engagement in the training with Team Europe has also been hugely beneficial to the Irish team as Cillian brings all that learning and experience back to our team as a coach," said Lane. Collins also speaks very highly of his experiences with Team Europe "It is a great honour to be able to play alongside such talented people. I learned a huge amount from being a part of the team and feel motivated to continue learning. The ICC this year was very competitive with some extremely strong players on the other teams so we were very pleased to come out on top." It's clear from both Collins and Lane that there is so much potential in the Irish CTF scene, and the future is bright, once the support is in place. Collins said "I think the CTF scene continues to grow and ther...

Mark Lane compared investigating the JFK assassination like Frankenstein unleashed the monster. Joan learned about the MOSSAD researching the attack on the USS Liberty by Israel. In time, Joan was befriended by New Orleans Police Intelligence Police Officer, Robert Buras Robert Buras denied permission to interview Psychiatrist Dr. Frank Silva & Patricia Orr in Baton Rouge. Because of Joan's tenacity & unbiased researching, Burriss nicknamed Joan ‘Sherlock’. Robert Kennedy & Walter Sheridan tried to hamper Jim Garrison’s investigation. Joan developed pneumonia walking the rainy streets of New Orleans with Robert Buras Explains the current & historic definition of Catfished after being hoodwinked on Facebook. These people with fake profiles are looking to take advantage of people financially. Joan's bank refused to transfer $15,000 US over the phone to someone she’d never met. If you've been Catfished, the FBI has an online for you to fill out to explain the particulars. Do not give MONEY to ANYONE you meet online. Do not become EMOTIONALLY invested. Older women are targeted because they tend to be lonely & have more money than younger women. The person trying to take advantage of Joan was plagiarizing text from an article in Atlantic magazine. One of Joan's students once plagiarized the film Fight Club. His classmates quickly exposed his lies. The life of a writer is hard, dealing with bad reviews & many rejections. It disturbs Joan that RFK Jr. hasn't contacted her about RFK's involvement in Garrison's investigation. Joan was threatened with bodily harm by Roger Stone if Joan attended the conference in Louisiana. Joan contacted the FBI about Roger Stone's threat of bodily harm, so it would be documented. Despite threats, Joan presented at the Jim Garrison conference, with Garrison's sons in attendance. Joan notes the lack of footnotes in Stone's The Man Who Killed Kennedy, The Case Against LBJ. Luckily for Joan, the FBI sent her an unredacted copy of their file on Mac Wallace. Mac Wallace's FBI file was the foundation for Joan's book Faustian Bargains. Joan talks about the time she went to interview Gerald Patrick Hemming. Hemming told Joan that the only person he was afraid of was Bernie. Who is Bernie?

The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 15th & final study session on Michael Meiers' Was Jonestown a CIA Medical Experiment. This genocide has countless parallels to our recent literary selections - Columbine, Michael Swango, and The Hart murder-suicide. The Rev. Jim Jones, a White man born in a Racially Restricted Region of Indiana, took a thousand people from California to Guyana. On November 18th, 1978, Jones killed nearly all 1,000 of his mostly black followers and orchestrated the assassination of Con. Leo Ryan. Some were shot, but most were poisoned with cyanide, just like "Double-0 Swango." For nearly 50 years, this event has been mostly understood as a bunch of brainwashed blacks following a White charlatan to their demise. Meiers' work suggests something more nefarious. Last week, we heard further analysis of the litany of books published in the immediate days and weeks following the Guyana holocaust. None of these books were authored by black people. Meiers stresses that most of these books fail to mention the connections between Jonestown and the CIA - or the CIA activities in South America at large during this same period. He still recommends reading and scrutinizing these books for details that reveal truth. White female journalist Mae Brussell took the same view on this topic. Gus was surprised to hear Meiers' theory that Mark Lane and Jonestown were used to distract from the 1978 House Select Committee on Assassinations, which was investigating the murders of President John F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Mark Lane had written books and publicly suggested that a government conspiracy was involved in these assassinations. He was slated to speak at the congressional inquiry when Jonestown intruded. It's alleged that Lane knew that Jones planned to murder everyone, yet did nothing to alert authorities or prevent the massacre. He profited financially from representing the Peoples Temple and shacked up with "former" member Terri Buford for years. And he was lambasted in the press as an untrustworthy crackpot and likely Jones lackey who aided in the genocide. Meiers points out that Lane was correct about the government conspiracy to murder to Dr. King, which which leads him to think Lane may have been targeted to be neutralized by the rot of Jonestown. #COINTELPRO #TheCOWS15Years INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 605.313.5164 CODE: 564943#
