Brandi's off being a total rockstar at The Sphere with Kenny Chesney (no big deal), so Tish brings in one of the most entertaining reality TV stars of our generation… Harry Jowsey! You may know him from Too Hot to Handle, Heartbreak Island, or even Dancing With the Stars. He's everywhere! And even though he joined reality TV to make people laugh, he's actually super deep. These two silly sausages get into Harry's experience with ayahuasca, grief, assisted dying, and the emotional whiplash of being a reality TV star. But don't you worry, Stoners — it's not just a big trauma dump. Tish and Harry dive into dating hot takes, red flags, and why Harry's sworn off love (for now). Plus, they tackle some Dear MTs with their best advice on a total “turd burger” and a crystal shop ghoster. So if your love life's a mess and your therapist's on vacation — we got you. (Video podcast available on Spotify & YouTube) Welcome back, perfect little pancakes! On this week's episode of ‘Boyfriend Material,' Harry begins by taking you back in time to his first reality show experience—and no, we're not talking about ‘Too Hot To Handle.' Harry's going back to the very beginning of his reality career as he reflects on his experience competing on New Zealand's ‘Heartbreak Island.' Then, Harry plays another round of If It Looks Like a Red Flag, in which he discusses texting etiquette and men who date women that look like their mothers. Afterwards, Harry opens up about his recent skin cancer diagnosis and what it was like having to face something so serious. As always, Harry speaks with sincerity and humor, even when discussing a health crisis. Harry Jowsey is a star and the winner of reality TV shows Heartbreak Island and Too Hot to Handle, and a kind of professional smily hot guy internet sensation. He was born in Australia, and did a year of high school in New Zealand where he was barred from attending his graduation dinner after removing his clothes and streaking through their sister school's prize-giving attended by the female pupils and their mothers. He was stood down for three days, and, well look who's laughing now, Nelson College. He's grown up to advise perhaps many of those exact female pupils on successful relationships via his Spotify show Dating Harry Jowsey. He's also an entrepreneur and investor, now living in LA, and he joins us fresh off an evening at the Grammy's.

Today's guest is actually an Australian chap called Harry Jowsey. But I first met Harry when he was living in New Zealand, when he was filming the reality show Heartbreak Island. Now, he's living in LA has made quite the name for himself. After a much bigger Netflix audience saw the cheeky Aussie on Too Hot To Handle, he blew up on social media, and has paved a successful career for himself continuing work with Netflix, he hosts podcasts, he has 4.3 million followers on Instagram, 4.8 million on TikTok AND he's made a fair bit of coin on OnlyFans. But as we'll hear, there are some more things Harry's starting to focus on.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A new home-grown reality competition show "Heartbreak Island" has begun streaming online where 16 singles compete for love and $100,000. But as many of us know, reality TV is not always paradise for those involved. Online trolling and harassment of show contestants has become a common consequence of the television genre. University of Amsterdam professor in cross-media culture Misha Kavka spoke to Susie Ferguson.
We've got a lot of real news to get through this week including watching Love Island at the pub, all the Celebrity Treasure Island cast announcements and the return of Heartbreak Island. But the big scandal of the week is the fact Ben on The Block broke his moustache-shaving promise, and therefore our hearts. Would you rather sandpaper off your teeth, shoot your toes with a nail gun, or listen to this cool podcast episode? The decision is easy.Join The Real Pod community!Go here for The Real Pod Corner on FacebookAnd here to chat on our Discord server See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Today on the podcast I have New Zealand's favourite TV personality host Clint Randell. Who is pumped to be hosting Channel Seven's brand new dating show Heartbreak Island Australia, which launches this Thursday on 7 Plus! The show debuts on Seven's streaming platform on the 4th of August and with less television guidelines, less rules to obey when it comes to how saucy they can go - you'd be forgiven for calling this Seven's new streaming platform a steamy platform.Over the years we have become accustomed to our favourite dating shows on free to air television but now we have something new with a format that is designed to see the contestants hook up, bust up and manipulate their way to a cash prize that is 100 percent a tangible certainty! (I am sure they can play-out their ill-fated relationship journey on their social media platforms once the show ends but having the cash will most certainly come in handy.)Clint takes us behind the scenes, explains some of the new exciting twists instal and talks about the lack of privacy for the contestants. Episode 8 with Harry Jowsey, a viral marketing expert known for his appearances on Netflix's Too Hot Too Handle, Heartbreak Island, Impaulsive and many other mainstream outlets. Harry is more well known for his big personality but has a lot of knowledge on marketing, entrepreneurship and social media which he has never really shared, until today. We go in depth into how he built his audience before the days of TV, how he leveraged those opportunities to go viral as well as how he's built businesses off the back of that fame.To date this is his only interview centred around business and marketing, this is an episode you won't want to miss. On today's episode of Divij's Den, I had the pleasure of sitting down with one of the biggest TikTok creators in the world.. SwagboyQ. Who is SwagBoyQ? SwagBoyQ is an American social-media star, who is famous for his pranks, challenges, comedy clips, and other videos on TikTok and YouTube. His was born in Honolulu but raised in Texas, which made him flexible to diverse cultures. Not much is known about his family or education. He has often been “kicked out” of major retail outlets, as those are the places he chooses to play pranks on people. His main aim in life is to spread joy through entertainment. Early Life & Family SwagBoyQ was born on March 11, 1999, in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America. He was raised in Houston, Texas. His real name is Q Shamar Stenline. Though he is a rising social-media celebrity, not much is known about his family, education, or dating life. Media reports state he is probably single, though it is possible that he does not wish to divulge much about his personal life to the media. Rise on Social Media SwagBoyQ created his TikTok account, wagboyq, in September 2019. He is known for his entertaining lip-syncs, pranks, challenge videos, and sketch-comedy clips on the platform. Most of his videos have texts in them. His account on the platform has already gained more than 112.7 million likes and over 4.6 million fans. In June 2020, he featured Australian reality TV star and social-media sensation Harry Jowsey of Too Hot to Handle and Heartbreak Island fame in one of his TikTok videos. One of his pranks involved masquerading as a bush on a sidewalk and surprising passers-by while recording their reactions. He has his own channel on YouTube, titled SwagBoyQ. Launched on May 3, 2012, the channel has already gained 27.2 thousand subscribers and more than 397 thousand views. It hosts pranks, vlogs, and challenge videos. SwagBoyQ's Instagram account, swagboyq, has 265 thousand followers. Though he promotes his merchandise through the account, it is, surprisingly, a private account, unlike the accounts of other social-media stars of his age. This means, only people who follow him on Instagram will be able to view his content on the platform. He is also available on Snapchat as TheSwagBoyQ. His brand of merchandise is available on the website swagboyq.com. It sells apparel and accessories geared toward the youth. SwagBoyQ launched his official Twitter account, Theswagboyq, in April 2012. The profile has gained more than 30 thousand followers to date. SwagBoyQ as a Person His fans are called the “ShwaggyGang.” He believes the gang is more of a family. He once said in an interview that his sole purpose in life is to put a smile on the faces of people who follow him, and he chooses entertainment to make the world a better place. He loves nature and traveling. He believes the fact that he was born in Honolulu and raised in Houston has made him more receptive to the diverse aspects of his country. He plans to travel around the world and meet his fans someday. In a January 2020 live session with The Hype Magazine, SwagBoyQ mentioned a lot of things about himself. He said he grew up watching comedians and actors such as Kevin Hart and aspired to be like them. However, he knew that he would have to work hard to get where these established actors were, in terms of fame. He thus decided to do something worthwhile to reach his goal. He also joked about how he was “kicked out” of places such as Walmart, Target, and Foot Locker, as those were the venues he often chose for his pranks. He even described how Walmart now keeps an eye on him whenever he visits any store in the country. However, he also mentioned how he feels lucky to be recognized by random people on the streets, in malls, and elsewhere, who come up to him for autographs and selfies. Thus, he believes social-media fame has both positives and negatives.
Mark Dye is one of those guys that never seems to stay in the same place for very long. By his own admission, he's always looking at what he can do next. It's that outlook on life which has seen him travel all around the world, lead a very successful broadcasting career from ZM days, to Newstalk ZB to hosting Heartbreak Island. Mark is also co-founder and chief executive of NUBU Pharmaceuticals - a medicinal cannabis company.

The Real Pod assembles to dissect the fourth week on Married at First Sight Australia, with special thanks to Nando's.Your favourite Married at First Sight Australia experts are back to look at a week on MAFS that may or may not have gone too far. Innes and Sam have gone full steam ahead in the sauna (allegedly), Heidi and Mike are starting to crumble and Ning and Mark are absolutely miserable. Also, Bronson went on a treadmill for four hours because he was loving watching TV so much. Beyond that, we recap Jane's lovely wedding (complete with a certified Real Pod moment for the ages), take a quick look at the week on Heartbreak Island and talk about a new innovation in Nando's cheesy bread tessellation. It's The Real Pod, baby. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

The Real Pod assembles to dissect the last few weeks in New Zealand pop culture and real life, with special thanks to Nando's.With Duncan still basking somewhere on a desert island, Alex and Jane reconvene in The Spinoff studio to pick apart the past week in local weird news, pop culture and reality TV. We had a glittering evening at the premiere of Aladdin with every New Zealand celebrity ever, before the entire nation was thrown into disarray at the arrival of the unruly tourists onto our newsfeeds. Beyond the Primo robbery, the Christmas tree robbery and the bloody Mission Bay rubbish, there's somehow still more news to talk about. What does season two of Heartbreak Island have in store? Why is Max Key playing coy on Celebrity Treasure Island NZ? And which podcast host sold their bra on TradeMe to a cornie? OH, AND WE EAT SOME OF THE HOTTEST CHILLI CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD. Chances are you've heard lots lately about Dancing with The Stars in the media - even if you've never watched it. TVNZ's now heavily promoting its new rival ‘Tinder in the tropics' show as well. Are the TV networks overdoing the in-house hype for the shows - and should we be footing the bill for them?
