Here is SHOW #66 - CELEBRATING 4 YEARS OF RACE & ETHNIC RELATIONS ON CAMPUS BOOK. In this show, I CELEBRATE the publication of my 2018 book entitled, "Race and Ethnic Relations on Campus: Understanding, Empowerment, and Solutions for College Students." It is a book that I am most proud of because so many college students are embracing and taking the time to discuss these serious race and ethnic relations issues. It is an academic topic that still gets overlooked because of the sensitivity of the topics yet it is a topic that TODAY'S college students are desperately wanting to discuss and DEBATE. This book provides the foundation, direction and momentum to take race and ethnic relations issues to a DEEPER LEVEL. In this podcast, I also highlight the chapters and give you the major reasons why I wrote this book some 4 years ago. Interestingly, many of the issues in this book relate directly to events and issues today in 2022 AND beyond! After listening to this CELEBRATORY podcast, send me your thoughts about my book at: baileye@ecu.edu OR ejb678@gmail.com. As always, take the time to get to know others who look different than you so that each and everyone of us can help SOLVE many of the challenging issues related to race and ethnic relations in our communities, our state, our country, and our world! PEACE OUT!
In this edition of MAGIC MONTHLY, I CELEBRATE and REACT to having the #1 PICK for the first time in 18 YEARS, as well as give my list of IDEAL FREE AGENTS for the Magic to pursue, & finally we discuss JONATHAN ISAAC and his role of the team moving forward!

In this episode we interview our special guest and friend, Fr. Mike Schmitz and introduce you to a brand new podcast from Ascension Press, The Bible in a Year with Fr. Mike Schmitz featuring Jeff Cavins. We discuss the importance of developing a biblical worldview: a lens to view our relationships, circumstances and choices through how the scripture teaches us to think about ourselves and about God. We chat with one of the most recognizable priests in the modern church about humility, the scripture that speaks to him, and what we all can receive by opening the scriptures every day for a year. You can find a daily reading plan and more information about The Bible in Year Podcast with Fr. Mike Schmitz featuring Jeff Cavins at AscensionPress.com. Father Mike’s one thing - I Celebrate the Day - Relient K Father Mike’s other one thing - simplifying and decluttering his life Sister Miriam’s one thing - O Come Let Us Adore Him - Maverick City Music Heather’s one thing - Holy Mass Candle from Providential Co. Michelle’s one thing - 'Tabernacle' print from Ascension Press Discussion questions: What struck you from this week’s episode? What distracts or prevents you from reading Scripture each day? Discuss the difference between the lens you look at the world through when you listen to social media/news and the lens you look at the world through when you listen to the truth and beauty in Scripture? In this new year, how is God inviting you to experience His character more deeply through scripture? Are there any daily, weekly or monthly commitments you would like to make as a group to reading or listening to scripture? Journal Questions: Take a moment to reflect on some important scriptures that God has used in your life Take some time to reflect on how you can make space for God’s word in scripture to speak to you this year. Is there a particular verse, chapter or book that God wants you to focus on? What needs to change in your life for Scripture to really become daily bread and nourishment for you? Quote to Ponder: “My strength returns to me with my cup of coffee and the reading of the psalms” - Dorothy Day Scripture for Lectio Divina: “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light to my path.” - Psalm 119:105 Announcements: We will be announcing our Lenten book study title and where to buy your book on Monday, January 18. Hello Everyone & Welcome Back to the RealPositiveGirl Podcast!Thank you so much for joining me again!Happy Friday! This week's theme for the podcast is: How to Have the Best Week Ever!I think it's always helpful to have some tips on how to have a great week or at least set it up with the best intentions. I do want to make mention that by no means will these tips or any tips you get from anyone give you a perfect week or the best week ever FOR SURE because of life's uncertainties. However, you CAN do your best to set yourself up for the best possible week ever & have the positive mindset that it will turn out as best it can. Here are some notes from today's episode:Now that I have given you some ideas for how to have the best week ever, I now want to suggest doing an end of the week check-in. By doing a check-in, it will help you evaluate how you believe the week went, what you might want to change for the upcoming week & just have a chance to take a step back from everything that already happened & get any stress off your chest. When you do this exercise, I suggest using a journal or notebook to take notes & write down what your answers to the questions you are going to ask yourself. First you're going to start with ‘I Feel…' and ask yourself how you are feeling at the end of this week. Do you feel like you could have given up several times during the week? Do you feel satisfied with everything you accomplished? You you feel beat down? Ask yourself how you are feeling at the end of this week & make sure to answer truthfully.Next, go down the road of ‘I Need' & ask yourself what you need, now that the week is over. Do you need some extra downtime because of how the week treated you? Do you need to schedule some time with your counselor in the coming future because of what happened during the week? Do you need to work on being more organized, more knowledgeable, more calm or more understanding about something for the upcoming week? After that, go with the ‘I Forgive' train of thought. Is there something you need to forgive yourself for? Do you need to forgive someone else for something they did to you? Next up is ‘I Celebrate' which is such a fun one. What do you need to celebrate about the week? Did you accomplish big things? Or maybe just celebrate accomplishing anything & everything! Second to last one is ‘I Release' which can be one of the tougher ones. What do you need to release because it has been taking up too much space in your life, in your mind, in your heart? Maybe you need to release a grudge you have against someone. Maybe you need to release some romantic feelings for someone that you just know in your heart isn't going to work out. Or it could be the need to release some pent up aggression, anger, stress, or sadness. If you are one to keep your feelings locked down all the time, take this opportunity to release it all, even if just to yourself in the comfort of a private moment. Or to a trusted friend, mentor or counselor.Lastly, go through ‘I Trust' & come up with things you need to trust more. Do you need to trust yourself more? Trust your confidence more? Trust certain people in your life more? Trust the process of life more? Figure out what it is for you & how you can trust it more. Please share this podcast with anyone that may need this encouragement!Thank you again for listening & I hope this episode was helpful.Come visit me on my Instagram page @sabrinajoyperozzo to say hi!Have any questions, comments or feedback? In this episode, I share 15 choices that I attempt to make, every day, that allow me to kick self-doubt to the curb and move forward with confidence. Choice #1 – I refuse to compare myself to others. Choice #2 – I will stop worrying about what others think or say about me. – Affirmation: I refuse to concern myself with how others may judge me and my actions. I have been given divine access to the mind of Christ and Jesus has given me His Spirit to evaluate my own life and actions. (1 Corinthians 2:15-16) Choice #3 – I will intentionally spend time with the right people. Choice #4 – I will commit to a healthy diet of optimism Choice #5 – I will take care of my body – Getting plenty of sleep.– Only eating foods that help maintain my desired energy level.– Physical Activity can change everything! Choice #6 – I refuse to see any challenge as being any bigger than it truly is. Choice #7 – I will set a short term, immediate goal, and ACCOMPLISH IT RIGHT NOW! Choice #8 – I will create an ongoing list of my prior successes Choice #9 – I will celebrate every win. Big & Small – Affirmation: Knowing that God is my #1 Fan, I am committed to being my own #2 Fan! I CELEBRATE all my accomplishments BIG and small. I give myself high-fives, I pat myself on the back. I give myself hugs. I dance with joy (If nobody is around). I FREAKING ROCK! Choice #10 – I will remain focused on my WHY. My Mission Statement: My mission, first and foremost, is to pursue the life for which I was created. I share experiences from my journey in life (my successes, failures, fears, hopes, dreams, etc), and what I am learning from these experiences, in an authentic and transparent way with the intent to provide education, encouragement and inspiration that motivates others to take their own life to the next level. I am committed to generating the amount of income that allows me to meet the needs and goals of my family and to fulfill my mission in the world. I create content, products and services and promote the content, products and services of others, that add great value to people's lives. I am committed to setting new goals, achieving them and then sharing the results so that I may help others find ways of doing the same in their own life. I am constantly expanding my mindset of what is possible and always looking for ways to help others do the same. I am a follower of Jesus who authentically attempts to live out my faith (though I may fail miserably at times) in a way that encourages others. When asked,I am always prepared to give a reason for the hope that I have in Jesus with gentleness and respect. I have other podcasts that might be of interest to you.
