The hip. It's an area in orthopedics that has seen exponential growth in research over the last several decades. I don't recall ever talking about hip impingement during my fellowship training 20 years ago. Yet, CAM and pincer impingement as well as labral tears in the hip are something on the differential for every patient I see with hip and groin pain. But as Thanksgiving has passed, I'm thankful for modern medicine as my wife recently had her hip replaced. Congenital hip dysplasia was the catalyst for the need for a hip replacement at a younger age, so I've had the hip on my mind a little more than usual. And that means it's time for another research review episode…this time focusing on the hip. Connect with The Host! Subscribe to This Podcast Now! I'd like to share a research paper conducted by a group of US researchers titled "Non-contrast MR Lymphography of Lipedema in the Lower Extremities," which was published in the peer-reviewed journal Magnetic Resonance Imaging in 2020.The study's objective was to use Non-Contrast MR Lymphography to examine the imaging findings and lymphatic system characteristics in individuals with lipedema and lipo-lymphedema.The authors conclude that Non-contrast MR Lymphography is a non-invasive and valuable technique for diagnosing and assessing the lymphatic health of patients with these conditions.

Does stance width affect hip, knee, or ankle range of motion in the squat? 2. Are body segment length ratios (trunk:thigh length, and thigh:shank length) associated with hip, knee, or ankle range of motion in the squat? Hur brukar vi jobba med våra klienter i gymmet för att hitta fotbredden i en böj och hur kan en tänka för att veta hur en ska stå själv?
