The SEC is one year away from hosting something of a Big 12 reunion, but don't expect Missouri and Texas A&M to offer any welcoming hugs for their old conference rivals, Oklahoma and Texas. The Longhorns were a polarizing presence in the Big 12, and their actions more than a decade ago (along with Oklahoma's maneuvers, to a lesser extent), contributed to Missouri and A&M leaving the conference in favor of the SEC. On today's episode, host Blake Toppmeyer is joined by PowerMizzou.com's Gabe DeArmond to assess what OU and Texas' SEC arrival will mean for Texas A&M and Missouri. DeArmond explains why feelings from the Missouri and Aggies side of the aisle remain frosty toward Texas and Oklahoma. Later in the episode, the Clarion Ledger's Stefan Krajisnik joins to assess what he saw from SEC quarterbacks at the Manning Passing Academy. Two quarterbacks, in particular, caught his eye, both from SEC East teams. HOUR 1 - Seth and Sean are elated that Draft Day is finally here! They discuss CJ Stroud saying he's not a test take and what Will Levis said about Reddit-gate, react to Bryce Young at the Manning Camp, and do a bonus Mock Draft Injection which comes from Daniel Jeremiah.
Hour 3: The Islanders are now down 2-0 after losing again in Carolina to the Hurricanes. They had a 3-2 lead last night and lost. Boomer & Gio broke down what went wrong. We also talked more about Max Scherzer and his sticky stuff and wondered if MLB confiscates the glove or not. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about a doctor with a yacht. He's a friend of Boomer's but Gio is trying to latch on. Jerry starts with the Yankees beating the Angels and the Mets beating the Dodgers thanks to a 5-for-5 day by Brandon Nimmo. We heard from Max Scherzer as he was tossed from the game for having sticky fingers and a sticky glove. Tua met the media and will not retire because he wants his son to see him play. He also said it's his body and he's doing what's best for him, playing. In the final segment of the hour, Brady Quinn said that CJ Stroud blew off the Manning Camp. There are rumors of Trey Lance to the Vikings and Gio is not interested.
Hour 1: Max Scherzer was tossed from yesterday's Mets win in L.A. because of ‘sticky stuff'. Gio believes Scherzer because he swore on his kids life or something like that. The umpire said it was the stickiest hand he has ever checked. Boomer thinks MLB will come out and support their umpires. Boomer thinks Scherzer will get suspended. Jerry is here for his first update but first we talk about getting fresh eggs from chickens and how they are different colors compared to store bought eggs. Jerry has audio from Max Scherzer getting ejected for sticky stuff. Nimmo had himself a day going 5-for-5 including his first HR of the year. We also heard from Scherzer as he described washing off in front of an MLB official. He said, ‘I swear on my kid's life' he was only using sweat and rosin. Jimmy Yacabonis had to come in for Max and he did a great job. Aaron Judge robbed Shohei Ohtani of a HR in the first inning, then hit one himself in the bottom of the first. The A's have purchased land in Las Vegas to start playing there in 2027. The Islanders lost to the Hurricanes again, this time in OT and are now down 0-2 in the series. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs last night. Tua met the media and said he talked about retiring but decided against it. In the final segment of the hour, we talked more about Max Scherzer getting thrown out for sticky stuff, and Gio wanted more from Buck Showalter in this situation. He was just standing there watching it happen. Maybe Buck knew that Max was using something illegal. Boomer thinks it's pine tar. Gio thinks it could be sunscreen and pine tar. Hour 2: We delved more into Max Scherzer getting thrown out of the game for ‘sticky stuff'. We took calls on the combination of rosin and sweat and the fact that there was tape used on Scherzer's glove for pitch-com that also could have caused the stickiness. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio told us about speed cameras in Long Island. Jerry had audio from the Mets game and Scherzer getting tossed. Max said it's just ‘sweat and rosin'. Adam Schein was gushing over Clayton Kershaw calling them ‘domination nuggets'. The Yankees beat the Angels on a walk off sac fly in the tenth. Aaron Judge hit a HR, robbed a HR and had a diving catch in Center. Dillon Brooks doesn't care about LeBron because, ‘he's old'. In the final segment of the hour, Brandon Tierney left Gio a voicemail of him singing ‘That's a Volpe'. Ken from the Bronx calls to tell us about all the speed cameras in the boroughs. He also said it's his body and he's doing what's best for him, playing. In the final segment of the hour, Brady Quinn said that CJ Stroud blew off the Manning Camp. There are rumors of Trey Lance to the Vikings and Gio is not interested. Hour 4: We previewed game 2 between the Rangers and Devils tonight at The Rock. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Peter Schwartz's overnight show. His son called in and Peter treated him like a bad caller. Aaron Judge hit a HR as the Yankees beat the Angels. Aaron Boone talked about Judge's day at the plate and in the field. Buck Showalter talked about the Max Scherzer sticky stuff situation. Max told us how the whole thing started. The Islanders lost to the Canes so they are now down 2-0 as they head to the UBS Arena. Tua considered retirement but he is going to play. He does not want to walk away from the game. In the final segment of the hour, Space X just launched and then blew up. Anthony Gallo is not here today because he has a doctor's appointment. He told Gio he has a smiley face rash on his scrotum.

Blissful is fueled by trail angels to climb steeply up into Saguaro National Park. In this episode:In only a few miles in the early morning cool, Blissful arrives at Magic Camp for a full breakfast on their very last day helping AZT hikers. She joins Jeff and "King Arthur" into beautiful Saguaro National Park, where the cacti crack her up in odd shaped and human-like poses. There's still good water in pools and babbling brooks, but she needs to "camel up" for a very steep climb up over 4,000 feet to her goal of Manning Camp. The trail leaves the cacti behind and opens into a kind of high altitude bowl, that feels aerie and vulnerable.Trail workers are making spectacular rock stairs to prevent erosion and suggest she camp at Grass Shack instead. It's still a long way up, and a site under oak trees right next to a babbling brook is the clincher, camping with her new friends. Mike and Dan brave the bubbling tarmac of summertime Camden, diving for the airconditioned goodness of the Americarnage studio. Nat has other ideas and has fled the country once more. Making up the triad this week is a man who's soon to do something similar, except instead of a holiday in France it'll be taking Avenue Q to South Korea: brilliant actor and certified Tennessee Galoot, Chris Ragland. In other News: Vladimir Putin has been in a submarine lately and Dan would do terrible love-things to his ex-wife apparently; Dan pitched shows to the production company that made Sharknado - blame him; Manning Camp is underway and the biggest casualty so far has been Johnny Manziel’s head - the Texas A&M quarterback was sent home suffering from dehydration and exhaustion. Totally not a hangover; the big talk in the league is the ione that got away – Ilya Kovalchuk of the New Jersey Devils has decided to retire effective immediately -the only problem is that he had 12 years and 77 million left on his contract, which he chose to forgo; Dominic Moore is returning to hockey after spending a year away nursing his wife back from liver cancer - the former member of the Lightning will now grace the third of fourth line of the Rangers; the All-Star will have happened by now and is it still a let-down? Loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag, a discussion on accents and much, much more... Oh yeah, and it's the last show before Americarnage Live! A few tickets left but you'd best be quick: http://www.forgevenue.org/whats-on/eventdetails/28-jul-13-americarnage-live-the-forge/
In this week's episode Zig comes over to find that I have been swimming and drinking all day. We are in the slow season of sports so we discuss off the field issues in the NFL, Johnny Manziel getting kicked out of the Manning Camp, athletes on social media and we bring back our douche and criminals of the week! As always, this is an unfiltered, explicit podcast…yes, we do use foul language so if you’re offended by that language, then don’t listen.
