Ein Tag im Zeichen von Craftbeer und Hafen - Unser Craftbeer Crawl geht weiter Im Sommer 2025 machten wir uns auf den Weg zu unserem Hamburg Hafen Craftbeer Crawl. Unsere Route führte uns entlang des Hafens zu ausgewählten Brauereien und Kneipen, wo wir frische Eindrücke direkt ins Mikrofon sprachen. Dieses Mal: Vom Überquell, einer echten Craftbeer-Brauerei mitten in Hamburg, zum Braustädtchen, der Craft Beer Location am Fischmarkt. Überquell: Mehr als nur Bier Im zweiten Teil unseres Hamburg Hafen Craftbeer Crawls landen wir im Überquell, einer lebendigen Craftbeer-Brauerei in den alten Riverkassematten direkt am Hafen. Das Überquell ist bekannt für seine grellen Farben, lauten Biernamen wie „Bambule“, „Palim Palim“ und „Super Duper“ und eine Atmosphäre, die einfach etwas „drüber“ ist – im besten Sinne. Hier trifft man auf Hamburger und Touristen, die gemeinsam die Vielfalt der Craftbeer-Szene schätzen. Besonders beliebt: die hausgemachte Pizza, die perfekt zum Bier passt. Doch Überquell ist nicht nur ein Ort für Bierliebhaber, sondern auch ein Treffpunkt für alle, die das besondere Flair des Hamburger Hafens erleben möchten. Wir sprechen darüber, warum klar gekennzeichneter Bias ehrlicher ist als Pseudo-Neutralität à la „Fair and Balanced“ und wieso Satire helfen kann, komplexe politische Strukturen verständlicher zu machen. Braustädtchen am Fischmarkt: Craft-Beer-Oase mit Melancholie Danach zieht unser Crawl weiter ins Braustädtchen direkt am Fischmarkt. Dort treffen wir auf einen hervorragend sortierten Craft-Beer-Laden mit Tasting-Events, Bierführungen und einem Sortiment von Bille-Brew bis Barbarossa-Grutbier, der leider zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung schon nicht mehr existiert. Wir kosten uns durch Helles Landbier, Wiener Lager, alkoholfreies „Miami Grove“-Pale Ale und Biere von Sudden Death und Kehrwieder und reden über die Frage, was ein gutes Alltagsbier ausmacht. Touristen, Biertouren und Abschiedsstimmung am Hafen Es kommt auch eine 25-köpfige Bier-Stadtführung vom St.-Pauli-Tour-Office ins Braustädtchen, was uns Gelegenheit gibt, über Biertourismus, Touristenströme und Hamburg als Bierstadt nachzudenken. Gleichzeitig schwingt ein Schwanengesang mit: Wir verabschieden uns von einer weiteren Hamburger Craft-Beer-Adresse und erinnern uns an Tastings in anderen Läden wie „Beyond Beer“. Am Ende bleibt der Mix aus Hafengeruch, Elbe, Fischmarkt, Touristen, Craft Beer und der Erkenntnis, dass Genuss, Stadtgeschichte und Politik erstaunlich gut zusammen in ein Glas

In der nächsten BierTalk-Folge geht's zurück in die Schweiz – an den Thunersee, mit Alpenblick und Altstadt-Charme (Stichwort: Hochtrottoir!). Ich spreche mit Bruno Stoller (Produktionsleiter) und Kurt Althaus (Brauer) von der Brauerei Thun AG – kennengelernt beim Swiss Beer Award – und wir verkosten uns einmal quer durchs Sortiment. As we enter into Passion Week before Easter, it has been encouraging to listen to Donna and Daryl's story. They took the "big leap" to start a high school ministry first in San Diego, and later in Russia with their young family. They've also experienced lean times, when following Jesus has simply been "step by step." Still serving high school students after over 35 years, they offer solid, biblical wisdom and also fascinating insights into Russia in the '90s and now. They provide an example of faithful obedience in serving the Lord where He calls and reasons to believe in Jesus as the Savior of the world. He is risen!

Hi leute, kevin hier! :) Immer wenn ich eine Podcast-Folge fertig geschnitten hab, muss ich beim Einpflegen ins System auch einen Beschreibungstext schreiben, den du ihr just in dieser Sekunde im Bereich eurer Glubscher erfasst. Und IMMER denk ich mir so: "ey, wir haben da gerade ne Stunde dauergequasselt und das soll ich jetzt in drei Sätze quetschen?" Dann sitz ich hier 10 Minuten und hab' eigentlich gar nichts geschrieben, weil ich extrem schlecht im Zusammenfassen bin. Heute nutze ich meinen einmaligen Joker, einfach diesen Gedankengang als Caption zu nehmen*. Jetzt in diesem Moment ist das nämlich zumindest milde zum Schmunzeln bringend (hoffe ich), womit ich mehr erreicht hätte, als vermutlich bei all den anderen Captions bisher. Wenn ich den "Gag" nochmal mache, ists aber eher zum Augen rollen...und vielleicht ists das jetzt auch schon?! Episode 473 / Sarah Martin-Nuss (b. 1992, Corpus Christi, Texas) is an interdisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, performance, and sound. Her work draws from biological systems, philosophical post-humanist thought, and the intricate web of ecological relationships, exploring themes of interconnectivity, transformation, and time. Martin-Nuss received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Pratt Institute in 2024 and her BA in Fine Art and English Literature from Austin College in 2014. Martin-Nuss also studied visual arts at the Collège International de Cannes in Cannes, France and performance, sound, and video art at the School of Visual Arts in New York. In addition to her visual arts education, Martin-Nuss trained with the Meredith Monk Ensemble and is the producer, songwriter and vocalist for the avant-pop duo Dancing In Tongues. Her recent solo exhibitions include Future Currents, Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York, New York (2025); Pouring Water Into Water, Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York, New York (2024); and Open Systems, Prince & Wooster, New York, New York (2023). After growing up on the family farm and finding out in adulthood that they both were really interested in business, they started brainstorming ideas of how they could build something in the ag industry. Tyler said they were big fans of the real estate media brand “Bigger Pockets” which had a podcast and built a community and several adjacent businesses around it. They set out to do something similar in agriculture, and in their own way they have. I wanted to bring them onto the show because in the past year, Tyler announced he would be assuming the role of CEO for Polaris Energy Services and they both launched what they're calling the Yelp for agriculture which is called AgList. So they wear a lot of hats between these businesses, the podcast, and the farm.
