They share how they gained confidence in front of the camera, where they find inspiration for engaging videos, and why video marketing is definitely not going anywhere.  Episode Highlights:  Shawn and Matt share what led them to pursue careers in real estate. Always remember that you'll meet people at open houses. Connect with your sphere on a weekly basis. Initially, Shawn felt resistant to video, but Matt knew it was a good idea. As you become more comfortable in front of the camera, you'll come up with fun ideas. Shawn got into a hot tub while wearing a suit in a house for one fun video. Not every video will be funny, but they can get the property some attention. They share how the idea for the Valentine's Day video came about. The goal with a listing video isn't necessarily to sell the house. It's to get attention. Their gimmick is that they're always in suits. Doing videos weekly will build your confidence level. You can use video as a portion of your listing presentations. Videos allow you to stay in constant contact with your sphere. Remember to market your actual listings and not just yourself. During the pandemic, more people have relied on video and 3D tours. This is a trend that is not going to go away.  Look at what the best agents in the country are doing and incorporate that into your business. If you're doing a good job with your marketing and you impress someone, you will get a referral. Your first video might be bad but it will help you make progress. Don't worry about perfection. You'll get better each time. The attention cycle is short. You have room to make mistakes and to learn from them. Many agents are afraid of standing in front of the camera. Decide that you don't care what other people think of you. Shawn and Matt share where they find inspiration for their videos. There's not just one way to make video work for your business. Get started by turning your phone around and filming yourself. New agents need to develop the self-confidence to be on video. A good video will keep doing work for you while you do other things. New real estate agents should find a mentor. Don't be scared to put your name out there. It's a mistake to be too transactional. Care about people genuinely. Remember to find a niche to focus on. Documenting the process is huge when creating content. People will watch long videos as long as they're entertained and learn from watching it. 3 Key Points:   Video can be used to target the attention of a hyper-specific local market.   The key is to get in front of the camera. Use Stories to highlight the things you want to be recognized for and to create authoritative content. Having an amazing online presence allowed Tessabella to overcome objections based on her age. Identify the people that you want to connect with, come from a place of value, but then don't be afraid to ask for the connection. Put yourself in front of the people that you want to do business with or that you want to get referrals from. Matt Leighton reminds us that YouTube is Google for video. Everything he does ties back to Arlington, Virginia. If you find yourself doing deals in neighborhoods you don't prefer, or price points you don't prefer, YouTube is a perfect way to tell the market who you are and what you specialize in. When looking for content to create, choose the ten biggest questions or problems your clients have and answer those questions. Choose your top five favorite neighborhoods and do a video about those neighborhoods. Matt reminds us that we don't need fancy cameras. Use your iPhone.  People will watch your videos if you hook them. Lana Rodriguez shares that she used Facebook as her CRM in the early days of her business. She is currently maxed out at 5000 friends. None of us should see Facebook as a privacy platform. It's a lead generation marketing exposure platform. Lana created a private Facebook group for her clients only. The group allows her to directly market to her sphere. She presents herself in an organic way and it works. She "stalks" her clients and teammates. Facebook and Instagram are the only platforms that let you organically post your content and do free marketing. She designates one evening a week where she cross-lists her listings on local yard sale pages. Little tips and hacks add up if you're willing to do them. Raquel Borras tells us there's a lot of potential with LinkedIn. She started creating her own personal brand and has been helping loan officers do the same. People want to see who you are. They want to see that you're authentic and you're just being you. She started putting more video content out there that was insightful. Be consistent and add value. Do not have your Facebook profile on a private setting. Make your profile very professional and family-oriented. Lana tells the story of crying during a Facebook Live and what she learned from that experience. Be as personal and relatable as possible. Get over yourself. On this weeks show Maine and Emil recap the weeks professional BJJ and sport Jiu Jitsu news. Including Keenan remaining a free agent. Seth Daniels and the Fight to Win crew producing ADCC 2019. Craig Jones releasing more leg lock DVD's and a little about Lachlan Giles AMA on Reddit this week. After the news segment we dive right into the UAEJJF with the 2019 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship. ABWPJJC for short. We saw some outstanding matches in the finals of this event including Beatriz Mesquita vs Ffion Davies which ended up being one of the closest 10-2 matches Emil had ever seen. We talk about the growing rivalry between Paulo Miyao, and Isaac Doederlien, Tommy Langaker having another stand out performance. Erberth Santos vs Kaynan Duarte, and Duarte Vs Adam Wardzinski, plus the rest of the finals matches to crown this years UAEJJC world champion. After that we break down the second and final ADCC European Trials, its seemed to be a weekend for kneebars between the first two events on this weekend. We see Uk grappling star Thomas Halpin Limerick take gold as well as Maine and Emil butcher European names as per usual. We see a number of men named Mateusz take ADCC trials spots, and a really cool dogbar to kneebar plan B sweep from Mraz Avdoyan vs Daniel Ladero in his finals match. ADCC is fast approaching and the whole team is excited to see how the final few invites and trials spots line up and bring the event together. After that we get into Fight to Win 110 in Cleveland, OH, featuring Cleveland's own Stipe Miocic the most decorated UFC Heavyweight of all time taking on fellow emergency services member Aaron Howard in the first time Stipe has ever competed in the Gi. We recap and talk about Michael Liera Jr. taking on Jaime Canuto in the Black Belt Fight of the Night. Then talk about Zach Maslany tight head and arm choke of Rob Hileman in the Black Belt Submission of the Night. We get into the brown belts a bit on this card talking about Emil Fischer strange Rick and Morty themed walk out that may rival even fellow brown belt on the card and team no sleep member Troy Everett. We talk about about Matt Paul, and Dan Dykeman's scissor take down to Heel Hook Sub of the night for the brown belts.After that we get Rob Sullivan in the studio to preview Beat the Streets Grapple at the Garden event featuring a bunch of national team members, college and international champions. As well as the matchup everyone is looking at Ben Askren vs. Jordan Burroughs, and other stand out wrestling matches on the card. After that we preview Fight to Win 111 in Chicago IL, a city that F2W has said is one of the best cities in the country as far as crowds go. We preview this card that features a Black Belt Heavy Weight Title between Erberth Santos and Gutemberg Pereira. This card has a co main event Female Black Belt Bantam Weight Title between Catherine Perrett and Luiza Monteiro. This card also features matches like Gustavo Batista vs Matheus Diniz, and a long awaited match that we had previously previewed in Matt Leighton vs Devhonte Johnson. This card is stacked with tons of black belts and sure to produce some amazing matches. As well as Australian stand outs Kit Dale, and Craig Jones all get invites to the event. Then we close out news speculating about Conor Mcgregor potentially competing in grappling again after his comments during the Polaris Pro 9 promo. Plus we talk about Robbie Lawler vs Ben Askren and debate what it really is to be unconscious. That’s just the news section of the show. We get into the recap section where we take a look at Spyder Korea Qualifier 1, and the outstanding action that was this event over the weekend. We saw a number of Inter-belt matchup’s between purple belts brown belt and black belts all mixed into and under 76 kg division and an under 100 kg division. Taking a close look at Tim Sprigs and Mateus Lutes performances on the stacked event. After that we move into our recap of Fight to Win 103 in Houston Texas with a number of exciting matches and titles being exchanged. Gutemberg Pereira defending his title. Plus CEO Seth Daniels competing his first Judo match in 12 years only one week after neck and back surgery. A man Maine is truly inspired by. As well as a number of other matches on the card for the event. Then we move into the Midwest Finishers inaugural event that culminated in a bout between young stand out Andrew Tackett vs Pedro Serrano. These lightweight grapplers really put a stamp on the inaugural event and showcased the level of talent coming out of the Midwest. Next we get into more talent out of the Midwest as we recap Sub Spectrum 7. This event featured a men’s and women’s 135-pound bracket as well as exciting super fights between Tex Johnson and Matt Leighton. Josh jumps into the show to help recap this event talking about outstanding finishes from Both Tex and Junny Ocasio, and an outstandingly dominant performance from Hannah sharp. After all that we moved to the preview section previewing and Ultimate Mat Warriors 4, a 125-pound bracket that features Finishers 7 tournament winner Austin Daffron a man staging busy on the superfight scene. As well at top rooster weight Marcelo Cohen. As well as superfights from Kyle Chambers and more. We then get into our preview of Fight to Win 104 in Dallas Texas, with a huge headline bout Rafael Lovato Jr vs Yuri Simoes in what is sure to be one of the highest level matchups ever produced by the promotion. This card is stacked with standouts like DJ Jackson, Nathiely Jesus, Formiga, and Tracy Goodell. We preview the inaugural event for SOGI 1 and it’s multiple divisions and superfight card featuring many grapplers we see frequently on the show Junny Ocasio, Sam Micale, Nick Rodriguez, Zach Edwards, and many more. Maine and Rachael got to go to this event live to cover it in person the day of the show recording so we were very excited to talk about the event atmosphere, and how nice everyone at the event was, as well as some outstanding matches, and a great 145 pound tournament. We go deep into ADCC trials stand out Nick Rodriguez's preparation highlighted mostly by "Just going and doing stuff" much to Maines amazement. Then get into all the action that was the 145 pound bracket, looking at stand outs Keith Krikorian, and Frank Rosenthal, and more. Then we get into previews for Fight to Win 103 headlined with a number of title bouts, and outstanding competitors Gutemberg Pereira, and Tomoyuki Hashimoto, plus over 30 other matches in Houston. After that we get into a preview for Sub Spectrum 7 featuring a title bout between Matt Leighton vs Tex Johnson, plus stand outs Keith Krikorian vs John Battle in a matchup that both Maine and Josh are excited for after seeing both grapplers win this weekend. This event featured a 155 pound tournament under the EBI format.
