If you want to listen to the entire podcast and watch the movie such that it's all synced up with the Ghostbusters arriving through the roof of the museum and Venkman saying “Happy New Year” before the final battle with Vigo, you'll want to start the podcast at 9:57:26 in your local time, and then start the movie at 10:27:53 (or listen for the audio cue within the podcast). If you want to skip past headlines and hear the commentary guest intro and preamble, skip to 20:05 and then start the movie along with the audio countdown that begins at 30:20. If you want to sync the movie with the arrival of midnight, start the podcast at the 20:05 mark when your clock reaches 10:17:31. If you want to jump right to the commentary itself without headlines or intros/preamble, line up your copy of Ghostbusters 2 with the black frame before the Columbia logo, jump to 30:20 for the (roughly) 5 second countdown, and hit play on cue. If you're trying to sync with the arrival of Midnight in your local time, start the movie and the commentary at 10:27:53. Matt Sanders, aka M. Shadows, is the lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold. We discuss the band, but most of our talk is about crypto and NFTs and the innovative way Avenged Sevenfold is employing them. This is not selling worthless art, this is about empowering the band's hard core fans to evangelize. You'll be fascinated, I guarantee it. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
One of the viral moments of last lacrosse weekend was Maryland's win over UAlbany, which — due to weather — had to be relocated at the last minute, played indoors at the recently renovated Jones-Hill House, previously known as Cole Fieldhouse. As a result, the technology wasn't in place to broadcast or stream it via the Maryland athletics department's standard platforms. Terps' Director of Strategic Communications Jason Yellin was determined to get the game out to those via whatever means necessary due to its historic nature — the first-ever competition played in the converted venue — and the effort resulted in a cell phone stream on YouTube. To learn more about how it came together, IL's Terry Foy talked to Libby Ellis, Maryland's AAD Sport Administration, Yellin, intern Matt Sanders and coach John Tillman.
