Justin Michael talks about what he'll be looking for in the early stages of fall camp and explains why we don't want to get too carried away with hot takes based on limited reps. He goes over the position groups that he's most interested in seeing develop this month and what he wants to see in the scrimmage. Finally, Justin talks about why he is rooting for Ty McCullouch and Dante Wright this fall and how valuable it is to have their presence in the locker room. Justin also plays audio of Ty discussing how Clay Millen has impressed the receivers, but is still learning to become a vocal leader. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This week, I'm gonna highlight the favorite music of one of my patrons of the podcast. In the spring, I asked Patrons of the Podcast to share some of their favorite songs that were featured in the show. Stephen Bernhardt was one of two who listed a complete 20+ songs that he loved. So I decided to give his songs a special feature like I did with Annie Lorkowski back in episode #319. Some of Annie's songs were on his original list, so he was kind enough to revise it for me. Let's get started. * CELTIC PODCAST NEWS September 30th is your last chance to get 5 of my Cds for just $24 to save 68% off the sticker price. Follow the link to my Bandcamp page. The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine is in the rearview mirror, and draft season has kicked into high gear. And that means that it's time to start out annual talks with young players preparing to make the leap from college to (hopefully) the NFL. This week Fantasy Sharks Staff Writer Walton Spurlin welcomes in Missouri running back Russell Hansbrough, who gained nearly 1,100 yards on theground with 10 touchdowns for the Tigers in 2014 before injuries derailed his 2015 campaign. Walton will also be joined by wide receiver Andre McCullouch of Rocky Mountain College. McCullouch finished his college career with over 4,200 receiving yards and 43 touchdowns. Wally will also take a look back at the happenings over the first two days of free agency. Who broke the bank? Who got a steal? And what the hell are the Cleveland Browns doing? Come on in -- the water's FINE! Call-In Number (347)826-9620

On this week's show, we talked to journalist and filmmaker Jose Antonio Vargas about his latest film, Documented, his organization, Define American, and his experience as an undocumented person living in the United States. Vargas described how his intersecting identities have required him to come out of two closets - one of which was easier than the other: "For me, being vocal and open about being gay, knowing where I grew up in California, was much easier than outing myself as undocumented." We also explored the idea that our equality is tied to everyone else's equality - and that we have a long way to go. " This country invented white like it invented black. And now you have all these Latinos and Asian people - everybody's just confused," he explained. "I actually think that's why we're at this very seminal moment in american history. People like to think that we live in some kind of post racial colorblind Obama era thing. And you and I both know that that doesn't exist." In our Juicy Fruit segment, we talked about UMass basketball star Derrick Gordon'srelationship with CSI actor Gerald McCullouch. Gordon is 22, McCullouch is 47, and while we don't know anything about this particular relationship, Jaison points out that it's part of a larger phenomenon of middle aged white men who only date very young black or Latino men. We discussed how in some cases this attraction is based on fetishization, and can even be predatory. And we announced an event we're looking forward to: On Thursday, May 29th, we'll host a screening of The New Black, a film by Yoruba Richen that chronicles the efforts of black LGBT activists to pass marriage equality legislation in Maryland. Our own Jaison Gardner and Dr. Kaila Story will hold a discussion and Q&A after the film. Click here for details and here to reserve your free ticket.
