The concert featured music by Akira Ifukube and Masaru Sato, as well as Michiro Oshima performing her own Godzilla music in her first ever live performance (including new Godzilla music written for the event). We talk about what it takes to organize an event like this, working closely with Michiru Oshima, music selection, creating the suites, and Godzilla fighting serpents in Lake Michigan, as well as insights into these three iconic composers and their creative methods. Byrd and Matt are joined by Tom to review a batch of indie kaiju films that they saw at G-Fest 2019!  The trio review the crowd sourced Great Buddha Arrival, effects veteran Yoshikazu Ishii's Attack of the Giant Teacher, and a highlight reel of Daisuke Sato and Keizo Murase's anticipated short film Howl From Beyond the Fog!  Tom also adds his reviews for the kaiju spoof Notzilla and the micro-budgeted Lake Michigan Monster.  We also review Shusuke Kaneko's sci-fi/rom-com/J-Pop musical Linking Love, which had a special screening at the end of the convention.  We also give our thoughts on seeing concerts from Godzilla composer Michiru Oshima and Ifukube student Reiko Yamada, the panels of G-Fest, and our overall con experience!  Listen and enjoy!

Due to some MAJOR technical difficulties at G-Fest, the audio from our interviews with composer Michiru Oshima, director/SPFX Director Kiyotaka Taguchi and assistant director Kazuhiro Nakagawa were all unusable. To make up for it, we've transcribed the interviews for us to discuss them on the podcast, where we can talk about their answers and give our thoughts on what they had to say. Oshima discusses working on the Godzilla films, working with Seijun Suzuki, and composing for anime and video games. Taguchi discusses working on Godzilla films, the Ultraman shows, his short films, and his thoughts on CGI. Nakagawa discusses his film Day of the Kaiju, working on Attack on Titan and Shin Godzilla, and his thoughts on the Monsterverse. Otaku Movie Anatomy hosts review Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa! Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (Japanese: 劇場版 鋼の錬金術師 シャンバラを征く者 Hepburn: Gekijōban Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Shanbara o Yuku Mono?) is a 2005 Japanese animatedfilm directed by Seiji Mizushima and written by Sho Aikawa.[2] A sequel to the first Fullmetal Alchemisttelevision series, the film follows the story of alchemist Edward Elric as he attempts to return to his homeworld, having lived for two years on a parallel universe Earth, while his younger brother Alphonse is also trying to reunite with him by any means necessary. Edward's search attracts the attention of the Thule Society, which seeks to enter his homeworld, believing it to be Shamballa, to obtain new weapons to help them in World War II. Conqueror of Shamballa premiered in Japan on July 23, 2005. A CD soundtrack has also been published featuring music from the film developed by Michiru Oshima and L'Arc-en-Ciel.
