This time, Chris and Darrell are joined by a voice that listeners of the original run of The Fringe Podcast will definitely recognize - the one and only Clint! In Fringe's first season finale, Olivia notices a connection between The Pattern incidents while Walter and Peter retrieve the only thing that can stop Jones from his ultimate plan. Everything comes to a head when a final confrontation with Jones (in this timeline anyway) leads Olivia to finally coming face-to-face with William Bell. We discuss our favorite moments from this finale, things that we noticed for the first time on this rewatch, and so much more. We also get feedback submissions from Geoff (xforce11), Michael London of Fringe Connections, Rory, and Patty from Canadia! Hear how Gavin went from a highly successful British Football player to experimenting with different types of music and performing with and behind such greats as Stevie Wonder, Gloria Gaynor, Joselyn Brown, Floetry. As well as collaborating with some of Britians most sort after producers, writers and musicians. To bringing his own soulful music to the world, with the release of a heartfelt song entitled ‘More Than One'. More Than One received tremendous reviews, mainly due to its powerful lyrics and emotive vocal performance. The song was also accompanied with a picture collage Youtube video featuring a string of soul stirring images. Since the release of his heartfelt ballad, Gavins music has been likened to the jazz infused organic instrumentation, behind the warm vocal palette of Grammy award winner Gregory Porter, or perhaps even the fresh spin on yesteryears Rhythm & Blues music, brought to us by the 10x Grammy award winner John Legend. Gavin was also the featured vocalist on dance DJ Riva Starrs single ‘If I Could Only Be Sure' (Dec, 2020) which received rave reviews and airplay from the likes of Annie Mac @ BBC Radio 1.Gavin Holligan could easily be summed up as a 'modern day - classic artist', delivering much of the craftsmanship you would expect to hear from iconic heroes of old. With a rich musical history, potent songs, quality musicianship and an engaging stage presence, you can't help feeling that Gavin Holligan will always offer up his audience something worth waiting for!His latest album "I Need A Song" is out as a limited edition release. He only made 500 cds and they can be purchased exclusively via his website. The single "This Hotel Is Closed" made me an instant lover of his pure, heartfelt and soulful sound. It is with great excitement that I bring to you my conversation with the unique and gifted artist.Listen and subscribe to the BAAS Entertainment Podcast on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Podchaser, Pocket Casts and TuneIn. “Hey, Alexa. Managing Your Multi Hyphen Career Why hello there! You might be asking, "Emily, what's a Multi-Hyphen Career?" Well, dear friend, I'm about to blow your mind. A multi-hyphen career is one that incorporates more than one skillset or interest. "MORE THAN ONE?" you ask? YES! MORE THAN ONE! Insane, right? WRONG.I'm guessing you probably grew up hearing a lot of the same messages I did. "Everyone has one true calling they need to follow!" Or, "you need to find your passion to be happy!" Well that's bullshit! I bet "they" never told you that your one true calling and passion could be a multi-hyphen career, did they? And you were probably told to focus on one thing to get very good at it, because nobody likes a generalist.A multi-hyphen career is definitely a real thing that many people are gainfully employed with. But it doesn't mean that this type of career is easy - in fact it definitely will put you at a higher risk for burnout if it's not managed with a lot of empathy for yourself. So I put together a few ideas to help you manage your multi-hyphen career. Don't forget to like and subscribe! We all know there’s a gender gap. You may have already taken steps to make sure there’s a woman on your committee, that there’s a woman or person of color candidate for the new job, that there’s a woman on you executive team. You may be wondering, “What else can I do?” Well, there is something. There’s one step we can all take to better level the playing field. Dr. Sasha Shillcutt, anesthesiologist and founder of the CME, Brave Enough, gives us a preview of the More Than One campaign that will be introduced at the upcoming Brave Enough Conference. And what is that step we can all take? It’s to invite more than one woman to sit on your board, to speak at your conference, to participate in your research, to attend your meeting... Research shows that when more than one woman is in the room, participation among minority groups increases. When more than one is present, it sends a clear message that minority voices matter. You’ll get more engagement, more perspectives, a better bottom line -- it’s just better all around for all involved. In today’s episode you’ll learn: About Dr. Sasha Shillcutt About the Brave Enough Conference About the More Than One campaign About Sasha’s research around gender equity How you can get involved LINKS FROM TODAY’S EPISODE Brave Enough More Than One Sasha on Twitter RUBraveEnough on Twitter
HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION! Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses! Thank you for listening, sharing the podcast and providing your input / answers to the daily challenges and questions! In last week's podcast I dug deeper into the purpose of creating lists and not just the joy of keeping track of all that you've accomplished! It's to get all the noise OUT of your head so you can reduce your stress and increase productivity! Especially so you can be fully present and pay attention to the person you are meeting with, talking with on the phone or even responding to an email. Are you giving whatever it is you are doing your FULL attention? It can have a negative affect on your bottom line, your relationships and friendships - personally and professionally. If you're constantly mentally distracted, you need to figure out WHY. More than likely it's because you aren't creating lists and prioritizing. If you're overwhelmed, you are trying to do it all. If you're multitasking, how well are you doing each task? MULTITASKING IS NOT A SUPER POWER! In this week's podcast you get to hear me on my SOAP BOX about the negative impact multitasking has on your life, business, career. And in the last few week's podcasts I've talked about how creating lists and being mindful will help you STOP multitasking and start being more productive and successful. We've all done it. And I've had people BRAG about how GREAT they are AT multitasking. I just shake my head and ask how confident they are that they gave each email, text message, meeting, phone call, report or proposal their FULL attention and there was nothing MORE they could have done, said, created, thought of, asked? Let me say it this way: If you want to achieve MORE... STOP MULTITASKING! We all have more than ONE thing to do each day, MORE THAN ONE client. It all has to get done, but how without multitasking? Listen in this week, and then post in the comments section or email me what you think about multitasking. Are YOU a multi-tasker? Tell me why you think it works for you! Or, perhaps how you know it's been detrimental to your productivity, but you aren't sure how to prioritize when it ALL has to get done? Let's talk! Have a great, PRODUCTIVE week! Cheers! Sandi
While discussing Game of Thrones, Marvel Unlimited, What We Do in The Shadows and Star Wars episode 9, we discover that James has a clown fetish, Chuck may be a furry, and Al Beck is just really into actors from a bygone era. This week on Who's There, we accept several calls about Lil Xan's hot Cheetos saga, and why it probably wasn't exaggerated in the slightest! (Hot Cheetos are no joke, per MORE THAN ONE doctor!) Moving on, two sort-of-French young actors are dating... maybe! But maybe not. Can you guess them? Next up, ANSEL is TONY, but who will be Maria? Unclear. Then we spend some time talking about Gisele Bündchen's fraternal twin sister Patricia, and what we suspect her #1 job is, thus leading us to the new term Bündchen's Münchkins.
Mark Bland and Jonathan May saddle up for an amazing ride and one hell of a show. First up, Mark has had Jonathan on the show many times but never had a chance to really get to know him a little better. So Mark takes it upon himself for an impromptu interview of J-dog and finding out about his family and upbringing. Next Michael Cohen decided to release the Trump Tapes to CNN and the entire world is ablaze with the revelation that Trump tried paying off MORE THAN ONE women to have sex with him. As damning as liberals want this to be, it's not illegal for Trump to be a horrible husband (3 times now). Honestly its quite pathetic to know that either his hot wives are such bores that he has to find other women....OR....Trump is such a crappy person that he can't tell anyone including his own wives the truth either. Mark then gets into a discussion about the history of Presidents that were assassinated and how watching those situations go down you can learn from history. Right now, Trump is nailing all the things that historically led down this crazy path to a certain ending. Nobody on the Q or around the world is wishing for it, but could it happen today? The guys discuss. Plus a little on the new Sacha Baron Cohen tv show and George Washington and probably how his life as President went.
