The explosive rise of automation and artificial intelligence are creating an ever-widening disparity in wealth and income. We're moving rapidly toward an era of a clearly stratified society with a wide gap between the haves and the have-nots. Everyone is planting their flag on some sort of existing economic system, whether communism or socialism or capitalism or fascism. As everyone starts reverting to their respective tribes, the cultural ties that served as the foundation for the existing globalized economy have begun to fracture. History demonstrates clearly that smaller, cohesive, ideologically homogenous cultures are always the most stable. So it's an easy prediction that we are likely to move back toward that type of stasis. We don't know what our economic future will look like. No matter what, we can always know that those who have wealth, power, and influence will always be better off than those who don't.

Rent control advocates claim they want to help the poor. But if you want to get a good idea of who benefits most from rent control policies, just do a cross-reference of the cities with the most "progressive" rent control policies and cities with the highest housing costs in America. It's basically the same list. You might think that landlords will make out like bandits. But it's really only the most wealthy and entrenched landlords who truly benefit. Which typically means the most corporate interests. In a country where so many people complain so much about "the rich getting richer," somehow every policy proposal aimed at addressing wealth inequalities results in the rich getting richer. Seems like a good place to be rich!

She's proposing a new wealth tax that would purloin 2% annual tax on households and trusts with a net worth north of $50 million and a 1% surtax on households with a net worth above $1 billion. But that's not it. If you get fed up with the grabby hands in your pockets and you decide to leave the land of the free and the home of the brave for less confiscatory pastures, she's gonna get her pound of flesh out of you in the form of a "captivity tax" of FORTY PERCENT of your net worth over $50 million. If you don't already control the source of a mobile income that can travel with you no matter where you go, you'd better start working in that direction. At this point, the writing's been on the wall for years, and you'll only have yourself to blame if you wind up getting caught in scams like these.

Some poor third-world nation is going to realize that there are boatloads of wealthy people who are fed up with the incompetence and corruption in the governments of so-called first-world nations. These people would LOVE the opportunity to transplant themselves into what's basically a startup nation in the form of a privatized city government. Well, we've been proven right again. A company called Próspera is building their own private city on the island of Roatán, off the coast of Honduras. This is a fascinating experiment that is sure to be just the first of many like it. They have a unique approach to funding ("taxation") and dispute resolution ("laws"). Today, we'll break it all down for you guys.

While it's impossible to say exactly when it will happen, it's becoming more and more evident that it is inevitable. And we have numerous historical examples of what happens in societies that find themselves in circumstances like those facing our society today. Russ Morgan and Joey Mure are the founders of Wealth Without Wall Street. Per their website: "Wealth Without Wall Street is an online community that seeks to re-educate business owners & families how money truly works. Our goal is to teach people how to enhance savings, increase cash flow and create passive income all without the help of Wall Street. The secret to doing this is having your money work for you, not someone else." We talk a lot about freedom here at WPI. When most people hear the word "freedom" they think of politics. But our contention is that freedom is an economic phenomenon. If you want to be free, then you must control the source of your wealth. Otherwise, whoever controls your income controls you. Lots of people use the phrase "passive income," but most people don't even know what it is. When they hear the word "passive," they think of getting money without working for it. And there's no such thing. In order to generate true passive income, you must first invest in yourself. We've been conditioned to spend all of our time and energy investing in other people first. Our entire society is structured around antiquated financial systems that are more directed toward wringing the average man dry than empowering him. Russ and Joey have done the work to understand the secrets to securing financial freedom in an age of uncertainty. And today they're going to tell you those secrets. After you listen to the episode, go to http://wealthwithoutwallstreet.com/stapleton and download their free financial Scorecard so you can get on the path to financial freedom today. And don't forget to sign up for the Influential Communication & Branding Workshop at the end of this month, at http://jasononinfluence.com. We're wired to believe that our view of world represents a passive observation of an objectively established reality. But the reality (heh heh) is, our minds are actively in the process of creating the world around us at all times. Our perception of the world -- and how we choose to frame it -- ultimately dictates our reality. When you don't understand this truth, it's easy to allow other people to frame your reality for you. This is what persuasion is, fundamentally. And it's one of the primary reasons that we communicate: to frame reality for the people around us. You need to understand how this works for two reasons: 1) To make sure that other people aren't influencing you without your consent 2) To make sure that you're influencing other people in the best ways possible The ability to influence is what distinguishes leaders from followers.

Upon reading that sentence, a lot of people will feel the urge to proclaim that they’re an exception, that they’re the true believers and it’s everyone else who can’t get their act together. We always like to consider ourselves the exception to the rule. But today we’ll prove to you why nobody actually lines up for fiscal responsibility when it really matters. And that’s why some sort of UBI is inevitable. It’s a matter of when, not if. In that vein, Mitt Romney is introducing a new plan to give parents $15,000/year. His plan is likely a good model for what to expect going forward. It’s another step in the direction of a permanent two-tiered economic system. Those who have wealth, power, and influence will get more of it, and those who don’t will wind up entirely dependent upon those who do. I know where I plan to be! What about you?

What will happen to the dollar, and, after it collapses, what will replace it as the reserve currency of the world? In these circles, lots of people think Bitcoin is the future. The entire cryptocurrency industry is basically a gigantic speculation on the future global reserve currency. Unfortunately for them, they're all wrong. Influence will be the currency of the future. In the economy of tomorrow, your success and security will depend upon your ability to command the attention of other people, and to influence them toward the things you value. Today we're going to talk about the digital ronin, and why they will control the future. We'll also be breaking down the way a subreddit used Gamestop stocks to take down multiple billion-dollar hedge funds. It's a fantastic illustration of the importance of wealth, power, influence, and community. He didn't know exactly what would trigger it. But the stage was set, and all it would take is the right sequence of events. That prediction was fulfilled with last spring's onset of the coronavirus. If you were one of the many people who followed Jason's advice and taken control of the source of your income by diversifying your income streams, then you probably fared much better than most people around you. You may have even benefited from the collapse. Every recession creates new millionaires who were prepared to capitalize on new opportunities. But now is not the time to rest on your laurels. The COVID collapse is just another step in a process that we're calling the Great Transition. Over the next years and decades, the global economy will undergo a transition the likes of which we've never seen. Life on Earth will look very different in 2030 and beyond. Now, most people who talk about this like to focus on the shadowy figures in dark, smoke-filled rooms who are driving this process. But here's the thing: progress is inevitable, and people with wealth and power will ALWAYS seek to reconfigure the world to fit their own desires and expand their wealth and power. If you think you're going to stop progress, you're lying to yourself. And you're setting yourself up for failure. We've all been conditioned to play a game that has been rigged against us. Those with wealth and power seek to keep you dependent and subjugated by the system. But there's a clear formula for breaking free and ensuring that you will be part of the haves, not the have-nots. This is known as "the righteousness fallacy." That is, assuming that an action or a policy is good because the people who endorse it have noble intentions. So when Joe Biden or some other Democrat politician talks about raising the minimum wage to $15/hour, they get a pass for advocating the widespread destruction of small businesses, because supposedly they're just trying to help poor minimum-wage workers. Everyone is familiar with the aphorism that "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." You cannot judge a person's actions by their intentions. You must judge their actions by the effects that they have. This isn't a phenomenon restricted to socialists and progressives. Libertarians and conservatives like to think they're better than their leftist counterparts because "we have facts on our side!" But here's a fact for you: the *political* pursuit of limited government creates unlimited government. As Lysander Spooner said, "But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain -- that it has either authorized such a government as we have, or it has been powerless to prevent it." The Iron Law of Oligarchy states that rule by an elite (an oligarchy) is inevitable in any sort of complex organization. And oligarchs -- those who have wealth, power, and influence -- use complex organizations, like the state, to expand and enhance their status and wealth. It doesn't matter how well-intentioned you are: when you try to use the political process to limit the government, the effect of your actions is to create the pretext for ever more expansive government. Again, you must judge your own actions by the effects they have, not by your intentions. The surest way to maximize your own freedom is by creating it in the most tried and true way. You must control the source of your income, maximize your own value and potential to the world, and ensuring that you win, no matter what the government does.

After several years spent trying to change the world through the political system as American politics got more and more neurotic and deranged, we decided to focus on stuff that actually makes a difference. The events of the last week -- and really the last couple of months -- have only reinforced that decision. We were right all along. And now it's more important than ever that you hear what we're saying. You will not change the world through the political system. It's completely out of your control. It was difficult before. And it's impossible now. We've just witnessed one of the greatest consolidations of power in history. The first election of Donald Trump was a warning shot to the political system, and they got the message. The entire Cathedral is now hellbent on eliminating the possibility of it or anything like it ever happening again. This is why all of corporate America, as if in a single voice, is rising up to solemnly denounce Trump and all of his supporters, as social media platforms, payment processors, and internet service providers, among many other industries, are operating in coordination to thoroughly deplatform anyone who they see as a potential threat to the political establishment. And they can get away with it, because they hold the power to crush anyone who would stop them. That's the nature of power. Either you have it, and you can enforce your will on the world, or you don't, and you can't. If you don't like it, you'd better get started on building your own wealth, power, and influence, so that you can, at the very least, insulate yourself from the crises that are to come. It may seem like a lonely path to you. As humans, we're wired to join communities. We understand implicitly that there is strength and security in numbers. That's what makes political movements so attractive. If you're ready to finally leave politics behind and focus on maximizing your own life through increasing your wealth, power, and influence, then come join The Network. We've got a bustling community of likeminded people, all working together to build and improve ourselves every day. Just go to controlthesource.com and sign up today. And we'll be back for another episode on Friday.

So it's a significant astronomical event coinciding with an even more significant astronomical event. And it's happening during a significant time in world history. I don't know what all of that means for our lives. JP Morgan said, "Millionaires don't need astrology, but billionaires do." So perhaps there's something to it. Either way, don't be the person who sits around waiting for the planets to align to determine your fate. You get to determine your fate, with each action you take each day. Today, we're gonna talk about your "why." What is the higher purpose that motivates you? You have one, whether you've thought about it or not. If you haven't thought about it, it's time you start.
