He clearly knows his stuff!   Read on for Matt’s top tips: **  When people try and persuade you to stay as an unhappy employee and say things like “keep at it, it’ll get better”, don’t assume this is true. **  Don’t worry about letting people down. If you want to break out of the system, go for it. **  Don’t wait for the perfect time to make a big move. Life will pass you by otherwise. **  The same applies to property. Don’t be so afraid of making that first investment. If you wait for the ‘perfect' property, you won’t find it. **  There is no secret formula for what makes a successful property entrepreneur. In Matt’s study of property entrepreneurs, the common theme among them is as simple as “getting out of their own way”, i.e. having an abundant mindset where they take assertive action. **  It is possible to buy property with no money in the bank, i.e. for tax purposes, some owners don’t want the short-term revenue from the sale. They’ll retain a mortgage instead, and you can arrange a payment plan with them privately. As long as the revenue you generate from the property equals or exceeds the payments, you’ll be doing good business. Pietro Pellegri the 16 year old sensation that has recently moved to Monaco was also on the agenda. Is he a worthwhile investment? And how good could he become? Moving on and back to Naples, we discuss Lorenzo Insigne and his future. Is he going to be the heir to Maradona? Or is he going to be tempted by big money abroad? Now we couldn't discuss Serie A without Paulo Dybala. The 'heir to Messi' has become the Juventus talisman of late, but will his journey with the Old Lady finally be coming to an end this summer? In Inter's case particularly it's probably more important to keep their best players and we discussed whether or not Milan Škriniar and Mauro Icardi will be at Inter Milan next season. It really was heartache for Italian fans last year as they failed to qualify for the World Cup and considering their average age, I asked Matt who will form the nucleus for the next Italy team. After Chelsea's purchase of Emerson has that story fizzled out? Finally we talk about the best player outside the top 6 sides in Serie A: Lucas Torreira. As a teenager I would watch Matt Pinfield on MTV's '120 Minutes' every week as he introduced me to new rock, metal and alternative bands. It was one of the highlights of the week and opened me up to so much of the music I listen to today! Have you ever wondered the state of all of the Oceans? We often here stories, articles and research coming from all parts of the Ocean (Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Arctic Ocean, Antarctic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, Labrador Sea, etc.); however, it's rare to hear about the Red Sea. Well, I am pleased to say that we are now going to talk about the Red Sea tanks to Matt Tietbohl, who is doing his Masters Thesis at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).  Matt is originally from a small town outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania growing up in the outdoors surrounded by lush forests and lakes/rivers where he would explore the wild searching for new creatures under rocks and in crevices. Fast forward to high school where he took a trip in his Junior year to Jamaica on a school trip to explore the Ocean for the first time, followed by a second trip giving you Matt, the young man who now wanted to become a Marine Biologist.  His undergraduate experience did not expose him to much Marine Biology; however, one course gave him an assignment that would change his outlook on Marine Biology and life in general. Matt had to review a journal article and present his findings to the class. His paper? A study from KAUST.  Matt came across this person's name when searching for something to do in the year he wanted to take off from school before doing graduate school. He contacted the chief scientist of the lab about an internship and ended up doing a Masters degree (funny how things can change with a phone call).  Now Matt lives in Saudi Arabia surrounded by the culture of his host country as well as international students from all over the world.  Matt's thesis is on tracking the types of algae and plant matter herbivores, who live on reefs, eat to identify functional diversity to direct future management of Red Sea Coral Reefs.  Listen to the podcast to find out more about Matt's research and life at KAUST.
