When you take a look at the world it can be overwhelming to try and figure out where does one start with undoing this mess we created? Her answer was with children, aligning this with her love of neuroscience and the proven outcomes of early intervention. This formed the basis of The Emotional Literacy and Mindfulness Academy for Kids. Specifically focusing on ages 5 – 9 as the key developmental phase where we can make the biggest impact and imprint them with essential life skills and behaviours that assist them later in life, which in turn, will assist our home that is crying out for our help….our planet earth. Gabriel Hackney is a creative writer, ghostwriter, humanitarian, and host of the Spiritual Wisdom with Gabriel Hackney radio show as an educator on the topic of metaphysical evolution within a dualistic reality. He is currently working on a series of guidebooks designed to evolve consciousness by first addressing what life is and why we’re here. When the meaning of life is understood through an education of spirit, wisdom forms and allows love to grow. This shared love allows mankind to work collaboratively with spirit to manifest greater paradigms of peace, love, and wealth, both for the individual and the collective. American boy from Ohio, began his spiritual journey growing up in a mixed religious family where one side is Baptist while the other is Catholic. His need to understand religious interpretation, evolution, and cultural conditioning was always a topic that hit close to home due to his psychic experiences and numerous encounters with spiritual entities. Through his creative spirit, he took up the guitar at age eleven and started writing songs at age sixteen. He learned acting during this time and became a Fairfield Footlighter in community theater. His first role as an actor was in a melodrama titled It Was a Dark and Stormy Night. His second time acting was for one of Steinbeck’s greatest stories, The Grapes of Wrath where he played five characters due to a limited staff. During his second time on stage, he discovered how emotionally and physically draining acting can be as an empath. So, on July 30th, 2012, he set his sights on developing his writing abilities by attending college online at Full Sail University. While in college, he started attending the biannual Victory of Light festival where he continued his education in spiritual evolution by making friends with professional mediums, psychics, and energy workers. These new friends helped Gabriel learn how to develop his spiritual abilities further as he harnessed his creative talents. He finished college over one year, 2015, earning himself a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment. Now with new skills in researching, networking, screenwriting, content writing, and a large host of other abilities added to his resume, he was ready to become a writer. After being declared Salutatorian and most likely to succeed, he acquired yet another education as a salesperson while assisting companies as a content writer beginning in 2015 and ending in early 2016. When he experienced the toxic environment that the business world can bring, he knew that humanity was broken in a very fundamental way marking the year of change. With new skills and the assistance of family and friends, he set out to write a series of guidebooks based on his continuous study of culture, science, history, and what it means to be human through the art of spirituality.

This one ‘Dialogue’ hits home for me and I’m sure for many others around the world who have had to have experienced what Joel has seen. I really wish from the bottom of my heart I could call this one particular interview ‘Uncommon’. Meet Joel Thompson, he is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who has played for Melbourne Storm, Canberra Raiders & he currently plays for St. George Illawarra Dragons of the NRL. An Indigenous All stars and NSW Country Origin representative, Thompson primarily plays at second-row and centre. He talks of once being an “angry” young lad who had a rough upbringing, who was headed down a dark path where many have been lost, including his own relatives. The St George Illawarra star's most recent community projects have involved being a mentor at Mission Australia, Mentor at the Rieby Juvenile justice Centre, and has become a NRL 'State of Mind' ambassador… plus much more. But to understand where that built-up anger came from as a youngster, the NRL player takes us back a little, to his dark past. For Joel it's was his grandmother, who helped keep him on the straight and narrow during a turbulent childhood surrounded by domestic violence, drug & alcohol abuse & getting involved in juvenile crime. A dedicated father & positive role model to three young daughters, a very loyal & loving husband to wife Amy, Joel has accumulated numerous life achievements & honors than I can even mention here! To hear Joel’s story & the ‘gold nuggets’ he chooses to share with us, take a listen here.
