"Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law." (Psalm 119:18) God's people should always strive for a deeper understanding of His will. This is not merely an intellectual pursuit, but one of great practical import. The words of the Psalmist indicate the need for God's aid.

Sins (Part 38) - Open My Eyes | Psalm 119:18 | 7 December 2025 - Sunday Evening | Dr. Brad Weniger, Pastor
Be good to your servant while I live, that I may obey your word. 18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. 19 I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me. 20 My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times. 21 You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed, those who stray from your commands. 22 Remove from me their scorn and contempt, for I keep your statutes. 23 Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees. 24 Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-love-trust--3493635/support.

Sometimes we can only see the problem in front of us—but God sees the full picture. In this message from 2 Kings 6, we're reminded that the God who knows where a small lost item is also knows where we are, and He invites us to trust Him, talk to Him, and ask Him to open our eyes to what He's doing. He proves Himself in the small and shows Himself just as faithful in the big.

Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law. [NKJV]
I just heard a story this week from one in our congregation who had a person show up at his door looking for answers. How did he know where to go? How did he know he would care? Because of the consistency of this person’s life AND his commitment to always speak the truth in love. While we don’t have control over a person’s reception of the message of the Messiah, we can sow seeds and pray diligently for God to do His work in the person’s heart to open their eyes. Then, when the person is ready, they know who to come to, and we can play a part in the eye-opening by sharing Jesus as the Messiah. We are wrapping up the final text of Acts this weekend. Paul is under house arrest and gathers the leaders and later a larger group of influential people. He spends an entire day trying to convince them of the kingdom of God and of Jesus the Messiah. Some are convicted, but still others are blinded. Paul didn’t pick and choose with whom he shared this truth; he shared it with everyone who showed up. Who is it that you can influence? Pray for opportunities — that God would open your eyes to when and where you should be speaking truth in love. Let’s be a church in which everyone humbly prays, “God, open my eyes,” then is ready to move as God leads. Key Scripture: Acts 28:30-31 - "He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance." Revelation 19:11–21 reveals Jesus as the victorious King, returning in power and righteousness to judge and conquer evil. It contrasts the joy of those at the marriage supper of the Lamb with the sobering end for those who reject Him. The passage calls believers to open their eyes, embrace Christ's victory, and live boldly for His kingdom.

Sometimes it is easier to believe what we can see, hear and touch in the natural more than what is unseen. But hear me today, what we see is temporal and subject to change. What we cannot see is eternal. We must make a decision to ask God to open our eyes so we can see. As a result, all blind spots and hinderances will be removed. Today, many people are blinded by a steady stream of misinformation from the very sources we should be able to trust. Much of the mainstream media has no qualms about spreading out and out lies to achieve a political objective. Many people, when shown the truth, still prefer to believe the lie. Why is that so? Why are so many so blind? Bob takes on that topic on this special edition of “Hope.” Now, do you believe in this ministry?
