This very sweet sermon takes a seminal declaration of gracious forgiveness as the starting point of a very simple treatment of this central theme. After an introduction in which he presses home the need to believe what God says concerning forgiveness, Spurgeon launches into a warm treatment of the measure, manner, and manifestations of forgiving grace. In the first he emphasises the divine largesse, the greatness of God's heart in putting away sin, the riches of divine grace. In the second, which is much like the first in tone, he calls us to reckon with God acting in accordance with those divine riches. In the third, his emphasis turns to the fact that it is through the redemption in Christ's blood that these riches of grace are revealed and bestowed. As he concludes, he returns to the thrust of his introduction, asking us whether or not it is right for believers to speak of themselves using the same language as unbelievers, to pray or praise as if we had not received the forgiveness of sins. The preacher calls us to feel the love that arises from forgiven sin, the only proper response to such wonders of grace. Devotees come here to Govardhana by the millions every year, and they just walk around. You can see all night long, you can hear them all night long, groups of people walking around Govardhana. And I can say that in the years that I've been coming to Govardhana and staying here, which would be—this would be year 25, if we stay at Kārtika over here—25th stay here at Govardhana. I've seen people that do parikramā every day, all the way around. I know people that go around twice a day. It's their main occupation. I've met people who do 108 daṇḍavats in one place, and then they move to the next place and do another 108. I've seen whole families, including mom, dad, all the kids, doing daṇḍavat parikramā together all the way around Govardhana Hill instead of going to Disneyland to see the mouse. They come here to the holy place. And I've never, ever seen anybody unhappy, ever. In fact, there's a blissful look in people's faces as they walk around Girirāja or they do daṇḍavat parikramā. You'd think somebody would be complaining, like, "Mom, Dad, this is enough. I want to go somewhere else." But no, everyone feels satisfied, and it's a great miracle of Govardhana Hill that everyone who comes here feels satisfied. And people come for many different reasons. They'll come because they want a husband or wife, or they want to pass the final exam, or whatever they want. Kṛṣṇa fulfills everyone's desire here, as it's already mentioned in the Śrī Īśopaniṣad. He's the primeval philosopher who's been fulfilling everyone's desire since time immemorial, but especially for those who want pure devotional service. There's a flavor here at Govardhana that one can imbibe, or a beverage that one can imbibe, that is an elixir from walking around Govardhana, praying to Govardhana Hill, and remembering the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa around here. One can feel satisfied and invigorated. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #pilgrimageoftheheart #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

This week, the U.S. government takes another L in court as a judge rules that handing out personal data like free candy to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is, in fact, a privacy violation. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Holmes and Sunny Balwani's dreams of walking free are crushed as a judge upholds their fraud convictions and massive fines. Sorry, no Silicon Valley redemption arc for you. Over in crypto, Bitcoin took a wild nosedive, sending traders into full panic mode before bouncing back. Trump Coin also rode the rollercoaster but, let's be honest, it's still circling the drain. In corporate chaos, Warner Bros. Discovery slashed its gaming division, Google axed more employees while crying about AI costs, and an AI-generated video of Trump sucking on Musk's toes somehow took over HUD office TVs. Speaking of Musk, federal tech staffers are resigning en masse rather than work for DOGE, and the FAA is cozying up to SpaceX while pretending it's totally not a conflict of interest. Over in Big Tech, Chegg is suing Google for stealing their content, and Meta can't stop Instagram from flooding users' feeds with violent and NSFW Reels. Also, Grok 3, Musk's AI pet project, handed out chemical weapon blueprints like a particularly unhinged WikiHow before xAI scrambled to cover their tracks. On the media front, Andor is coming back with a binge-friendly release schedule, Kathleen Kennedy is finally exiting Lucasfilm, and Daredevil: Born Again is getting early buzz. YouTube now claims a billion monthly podcast viewers, Fyre Festival 2 is happening because we clearly learned nothing from the first one, and Jeff Bezos has decided The Washington Post will now be his personal capitalism fan club. Meanwhile, Microsoft's AI Copilot is helpfully explaining how to pirate Windows, Skype is getting sent to the great app graveyard in the sky, and Google is making it slightly less impossible to remove your personal info from search results. He shared comments from Franklin Graham and other Christian leaders online. In a statement released by the Founding Freedoms Law Center (FFLC), Fauber said: “In 44 years as a realtor, I have loved and served all people. Regularly, I hear from other faith-based realtors that live in fear of being similarly prosecuted for their faith, and potentially losing their livelihoods, if they don't hide their faith well enough."  Fauber's attorneys are seeking out other legal options in the case. In an interview with CBN News Fauber's attorney with the Founding Freedoms Law Center, Michael Sylvester said this concerning the case. SYLVESTER: “If speaking the Bible is hate-speech, we've really reached a new low, because we used to value our professions because of the values that they bring into society. So, we really need to say, 'no' to large-scale private censorship, and allow free speech again, instead of the censorship that we're seeing.” So what are Wilson Fauber's plans in pursuing this legally? FAUBER: “I'm adamant about pursuing the case. I believe the Lord has called me for such a time as this, to be His voice on this particular matter. [H]e has given me His peace. I feel strong about this, and I'm going to do everything I can to expose everything that is going on, and try to right the wrong, because this really isn't just about me. The National Association of Realtors has over 1,500,000 paying members, and so we're all under the same ordinance and these policies that are very binding on our lives 24/7. And, I don't think that that's right.” Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Biden Pardons Murderers The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has issued clemency for America's worst criminals. He has commuted the sentences of 37 out of 40, the murderers convicted in federal courts over the years, reclassifying their sentences to life without the possibility of parole. The victims of the 37 include law enforcement officers and children. Some were guilty of murdering multiple victims, including drug lord, Kaboni Savage who lived up to his name - responsible for the murder of 12 people. Having pardoned 65 individuals, and commuting sentences of 1,634 others, President Biden has issued more pardons than any president in a 4 year term. U.S. Gives Over $2 Billion to Taiwan U.S. President Joe Biden has authorized up to $571 million of defense assets for Taiwan's defense program. That will take the US contributions to Taiwan in 2024 to $2.7 billion — the first major support for the island country since 1970. In response, China's Foreign Ministry issued a statement laced in threats, quote, “To aid “Taiwan independence” by arming Taiwan is just like playing with fire and will get the US burned.” Taiwan's GDP is about 6% that of communist China, with a population of 1.6% of China's. Taiwan's free market has enabled about 4 times the productivity of the communist nation.  American View of China at an All-Time Low The average American's view of China has hit an all-time low, positivity dropping from 53% in 1986 to 26% in the 2024 survey. The Surveys have been conducted by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs since 1978. Majorities of Americans want to limit the growth of China's power, view China as a US rival, and say US-China trade weakens US national security.  Communist China's portion of the World Gross Product has expanded from 2.05% in 1980 to 19% in 2024. The US share of the World Gross Product has remained about the same — around 25%. El Salvador Pressured to Allow Abortion In 2013, an El Salvadoran woman with health problems lost her baby by C-section. She had earlier requested an abortion, but could not get it in a pro-life country. The mother's life was intact, but the case was appealed to a progressive, multinational court called the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR). The court found the government of El Salvador “responsible for violating the American Convention on Human Rights,” and ordered the nation to “amend existing medical protocols” to allow for abortion in similar cases. Remember Those Suffering From Hunger This Christmas, remember those suffering from severe hunger — Haiti, Sudan, South Sudan, Congo, Chad, Niger, and Somalia.  As of October 24, Somalia had “the second-highest undernourishment rate (over 51%), and the third-highest child mortality rate (over 10%)”North Korea has the highest undernourishment rate in the world. Starvation problems have reached 2008-2009 proportions, according to a report from the World Health Organization.  Story of the Author Behind "Silent Night" On December 24, 1818, Father Joseph Mohr of Oberndorf, Austria, was dealing with flooding in his chapel, and a damaged organ. He walked three kilometers to visit his organist friend, Franz Gruber, with a request. . . that he compose a Christmas tune to accommodate 6 verses of a poem he had written two years earlier —- to be accompanied by a simple guitar later that evening. Gruber returned two hours later with the music of a Christmas carol that would be included in almost every Christmas Eve service for the next two hundred years. Silent Night. Holy Night. All is Calm. All is Bright. Round Yon Virgin Mother and Child. Holy infant so tender and mild. Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Silent night! Holy night!. . . Shepherds quake at the sight! Glories stream from heaven afar, Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ the Saviour is born! Christ the Saviour is born! A blessed Christmas to our listeners, as we celebrate the birth of the very Son of God, the Savior of the world!  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, December 23rd, in the year of our Lord 2024. Kerusso Daily Devotional

202 years ago, “Silent Night” was first heard by villagers attending Christmas Eve mass in St. Nicholas Church in Oberndorf, Austria. Joseph Mohr, the young priest who wrote the lyrics, played the guitar and sang along with Franz Gruber, the choir director who had written the melody. How did this simple tune, with its quiet words of comfort, become a beloved hymn of peace throughout the whole world? An organ builder and repairman working at the church took a copy of the six-verse song to his home village. There, it was picked up and spread by two families of traveling folk singers, who performed around northern Europe. The composition evolved and was eventually translated into over 300 languages. It was sung in churches, in town squares, even on battlefields during World War I. During a temporary truce on Christmas Eve, soldiers sang carols from home, including “Silent Night.” Known around the world by the wartime Christmas of 1914, the song was sung simultaneously across the trenches in French, German, and English.Silent night, holy night!Shepherds quake at the sight!Glories stream from heaven afar;Heavenly hosts sing Al-le-lu-ia!Christ the Savior is born!Christ the Savior is born!Let's pray.Lord, thank you for inspiring us to share the Gospel of peace with our neighbors across the street, and around the world. Even if a person is completely illiterate, the transcendental knowledge of the scriptures is revealed unto him simply because of his engagement in devotional service. That is also stated in the Vedic literature. To anyone who has full faith in the Supreme Personality of Godhead and the spiritual master, all the import of the Vedic literatures is revealed. He does not have to seek separately; the yogī who engages in devotional service is full in knowledge and renunciation. If there is a lack of knowledge and renunciation, it is to be understood that one is not in full devotional service. The conclusion is that one cannot be sure of entrance into the spiritual realm — in either the impersonal brahmajyoti effulgence of the Lord or the Vaikuṇṭha planets within that Brahman effulgence — unless he is surrendered unto the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord. The surrendered souls are called akuto-bhaya. They are doubtless and fearless, and their entrance into the spiritual kingdom is guaranteed. It is clearly confirmed herein that the relationships cannot be destroyed, and therefore the opulences of those relationships are never destroyed. Every living entity has the propensity to love someone. We can see that if someone has no object of love, he generally directs his love to a pet animal like a cat or a dog. Thus the eternal propensity for love in all living entities is always searching for a place to reside. From this verse we can learn that we can love the Supreme Personality of Godhead as our dearmost object — as a friend, as a son, as a preceptor or as a well-wisher — and there will be no cheating and no end to such love. We shall eternally enjoy the relationship with the Supreme Lord in different aspects. A special feature of this verse is the acceptance of the Supreme Lord as the supreme preceptor. Bhagavad-gītā was spoken directly by the Supreme Lord, and Arjuna accepted Kṛṣṇa as guru, or spiritual master. Similarly, we should accept only Kṛṣṇa as the supreme spiritual master. Kṛṣṇa, of course, means Kṛṣṇa and His confidential devotees; Kṛṣṇa is not alone. When we speak of Kṛṣṇa, “Kṛṣṇa” means Kṛṣṇa in His name, in His form, in His qualities, in His abode and in His associates. Kṛṣṇa is never alone, for the devotees of Kṛṣṇa are not impersonalists. For example, a king is always associated with his secretary, his commander, his servant and so much paraphernalia. As soon as we accept Kṛṣṇa and His associates as our preceptors, no ill effects can destroy our knowledge. In the material world the knowledge which we acquire may change because of the influence of time, but nevertheless the conclusions received from Bhagavad-gītā, directly from the speeches of the Supreme Lord, Kṛṣṇa, can never change. There is no use interpreting Bhagavad-gītā; it is eternal. The living entities, in the guises of men and women, are trying to enjoy the material energy; therefore in one sense everyone is puruṣa because puruṣa means “enjoyer” and prakṛti means “enjoyed.” In this material world both the so-called man and so-called woman are imitating the real puruṣa; the Supreme Personality of Godhead is actually the enjoyer in the transcendental sense, whereas all others are prakṛti. The living entities are considered prakṛti. In Bhagavad-gītā, matter is analyzed as aparā, or inferior nature, whereas beyond this inferior nature there is another, superior nature — the living entities. Living entities are also prakṛti, or enjoyed, but under the spell of māyā, the living entities are falsely trying to take the position of enjoyers. That is the cause of saṁsāra-bandha, or conditional life. Devahūti wanted to get out of conditional life and place herself in full surrender. The Lord is śaraṇya, which means “the only worthy personality to whom one can fully surrender,” because He is full of all opulences. If anyone actually wants relief, the best course is to surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The Lord is also described here as sad-dharma-vidāṁ variṣṭham. This indicates that of all transcendental occupations the best occupation is eternal loving service unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead ( SB 3.25.11 purport ) To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ (USA only) https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark

Here it is clearly stated that attachment for one thing is the cause of bondage in conditioned life, and the same attachment, when applied to something else, opens the door of liberation. Attachment cannot be killed; it has simply to be transferred. Attachment for material things is called material consciousness, and attachment for Kṛṣṇa or His devotee is called Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Consciousness is therefore the platform of attachment. It is clearly stated here that when we simply purify the consciousness from material consciousness to Kṛṣṇa consciousness, we attain liberation. Despite the statement that one should give up attachment, desirelessness is not possible for a living entity. A living entity, by constitution, has the propensity to be attached to something. We see that if someone has no object of attachment, if he has no children, then he transfers his attachment to cats and dogs. This indicates that the propensity for attachment cannot be stopped; it must be utilized for the best purpose. Our attachment for material things perpetuates our conditional state, but the same attachment, when transferred to the Supreme Personality of Godhead or His devotee, is the source of liberation. To understand the personal activities of the Lord, one has to seek the association of devotees, and by such association, when one contemplates and tries to understand the transcendental activities of the Lord, the path to liberation is open, and he is freed. One who has firm faith in the Supreme Personality of Godhead becomes fixed, and his attraction for association with the Lord and the devotees increases. Association with devotees means association with the Lord. The devotee who makes this association develops the consciousness for rendering service to the Lord, and then, being situated in the transcendental position of devotional service, he gradually becomes perfect.
