On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Brian Batko ponder Pat Freiermuth's lack of usage early this season. Is his lack of presence in the passing game a problem for OC Arthur Smith and QB Aaron Rodgers? Has it simply made more sense to get the ball to other targets including DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington? And how much could his role in the offense change depending upon who the Steelers are playing in a given week? Do the Cleveland Browns in NFL Week 6 present a better matchup? Our duo tackles those questions, plus a flurry of AFC North trades this week, including Joe Flacco to the Bengals and Alohi Gilman to the Ravens in exchange for Odafe Oweh. Poni thinks the Steelers made a mistake getting rid of George Pickens, who has 5 TD already with the Cowboys. He is second in the league in touchdowns and among the league leaders in ‘first downs made.' Through 5 weeks, he has been a Top 10 WR in the NFL. Should the Steelers be upset that they got a 3rd round pick in return that they couldn't even use in last year's draft? Are we all just counting on the honeymoon phase ending in Dallas sooner rather than later? Should the Steelers have seller's remorse for dealing George Pickens for the 3rd round pick? Happy new year! The boys are back kicking off the new year with the same old bullshit. Josh recaps his Holiday hijinks (pun intended) from Hijyix festival in Philadelphia, as well as the Space Laces show in Charlotte on NYE. Going way back to Christmas day, the boys dive into their recap of the 31-2 assault the Ravens put down on the Houston Texans. Lamar was efficient and took matters to the ground on occasion, but this game was largely the Derrick Henry show. Tallying 27 carries for over 140 yards and a score, the king proved to the country why he's still the King. Also, Dante takes a look at some of the run fits that has him asking “what exactly is Todd Monken on?” The defense also played a stellar game as they held the Texans offense to ZERO (0) points in the game, Kyle Hamilton and Ar'Darius Washington both made key plays in pivotal moments that helped close out the win. Kyle Van Noy continues his career year, and Odafe Oweh tallied a sack as well in addition to his highest single season total. Lastly, we don't want to say it too loud, but it seems that Justin Tucker is kicking good balls again. The sports media world is ablaze with MVP discourse between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, so the boys had to weigh in. Dante actually credits and defends Dan Orlovsky's take, but explains why Dan isn't exactly looking at it the right way. The Ravens have their final game of the regular season on Saturday, welcoming the Cleveland Browns to town to close out the year. The Browns will be starting Dorian Thompson-Robinson again this week, and could be missing some key players. From Josh and Dante, the message is simple: get the job done and stay healthy. The boys talk a little about college football as the CFP is still going on. Is Ohio State good? And can Penn State win a big game? Lastly, rave fashion is… something. We love you all so much. Thank you for another year of rocking with us. Cheers!
Sunday's matchup between Baltimore and Washington figured to be an offense-heavy affair, and quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels delivered a duel that lived up to the hype. From M&T Bank Stadium, co-hosts Paul Mancano and Jonas Shaffer break down the Ravens' 30-23 win over the Commanders, giving their Word of the Day (1:15), discussing Lamar Jackson's commanding performance (1:55) and Zay Flowers' productive day (5:20). Then they dissect the defense (14:15), Odafe Oweh's slow start (24:30) and more.

The boys are back and there's nothing to be happy about this week except Captain Coffee (code Wave15) and Huega House (code Dante). The Ravens lose their home opener, just the fourth time this has happened under coach John Harbaugh, and fall to 0-2 on the season. Obviously Dante and Josh are not happy about this and are asking the important questions that everyone wants answers to. Dante wants to start with the head coach, and specifically regarding the league-leading ten 7+ point blown 4th quarter leads in the last two seasons. Dante wants to know why John Harbaugh-led teams cannot close out games, why he seems to be the common denominator, and ultimately why Mike Tomlin was right about this organization. Aside from the head coaching inadequacies, the offensive line has proven to be a MAJOR issue for this team, especially the right side. Daniel Faalele and Patrick Mekari have given up insurmountable pressures and sacks that are ultimately losing games for the Ravens -- but for some reason, John Harbaugh will not make a change this week. The boys take a look at the play calling and why that is an added issue to the laundry list of those this team is facing. Ultimately, the Ravens do not have an identity on offense, and if they do, they don't know what it is yet. Derrick Henry and Mark Andrews have been criminally underutilized and the boys want to know why. Dante has one solution: PLAY ACTION. Lastly… should we be concerned about Justin Tucker? On the defensive side of the ball, there were several bright spots up front including Kyle Van Noy and Odafe Oweh, who both had 2+ sacks in Sunday's loss. Ultimately, this loss leads to the first 0-2 start for the Ravens since 2015, and they face an uphill battle to make the playoffs. Moving on to this week's matchup, the Ravens head to Dallas to take on the 1-1 Cowboys. Josh and Dante keep it simple with their keys to victory this week, and Dante explains why now more than ever, the blueprint is simple but critical. The boys take a look at the College Football slate this week and talk about their favorite matchups. They wrap up with some music talk as Dante recounts his experience with Noah Kahan this weekend, Josh talks about Lost Lands this upcoming week, and song recommendations of course. We love you all so much and are so thankful for each and every one of you. Cheers!
While there's not much to say about what we saw at M&T Bank Stadium today (nothing good, anyway) the guys are gonna try and put something together in the form of an Instant Analysis recap. In a game that saw Derrick Henry and Zay Flowers find the end zone, Marlon Humphrey come down with an interception, and Odafe Oweh come up huge with two sacks, Baltimore still found a way to lose to a Raiders team that they should've handled - and fall to the dreaded record of 0-2. The guys discuss everything that went wrong here, and if there's anything they can do to fix it with a touch schedule still looming ahead of them.
