The discussion was very much around mindset, sales and productivity, probably the 3 most crucial focuses for an Entrepreneur and a must-listen if you are starting to scale your business and become a leader in your space. It’s never been so easy to connect, learn and grow as Entrepreneurs, now, as we enter an era starting with a global economic reset and the many negatives, some horrendous, situations happening right now, it has never been so important. In this one-off bonus episode, I invited Danielle Bridge from ABC Life Support and Justin White from The Misplaced American, to have a conversation around the Black Lives Matter Movement. It is a really powerful and emotive conversation, that gets right to a level of understanding and hope to find solutions by way of simply asking the questions that no one will ask. This issue is not something that can be resolved overnight but together as we grow as a community, we should be able to "Ally" with movements like this in the future and should actively seek to first understand and then secondly, take action towards a more positive future. I hope you take as much inspiration from the conversation as I did and if you want to follow Justin, search for his podcast on Spotify, Dani can be found on Instagram and both well worth connecting with. While the band has just finished its sixth CD, its four members are no strangers to the Chicago music scene. GO TIME! is comprised of former Prairie Town members Scott Niekelski (composer/lead guitar/vocals), Marko Marketti (bass), Steve Grzenia (percussion) and Paul Schmidt (Guitar) formerly of the Cromulents and the Shifties. GO TIME! officially formed in 2009. The band members have like-minded musical tastes and settled into a harder-edged, power pop groove. Scott is a prolific song writer. “Speak” was released in 2009, “Hit It” in December 2010, “ Boneshaker in January 2012, “Tight Like Wood” in 2013m “Ratsel” in January 2015 and now “Six” in January 2016. Deeply submerged in amped up jangle and buzz, along with a healthy dose of subtle pop riffs GO TIME recorded in their home studio and mastered with Mike Hagler at King Size Sound Labs known for mixing and mastering bands such as Wilco, Neko Case, The New Pornographers, The Redwalls, John Langford, The Mekons, Billy Bragg, Ezra Furman and Caliphone, just to name a few. Skope Magazine says: “Go Time! continues to consolidate their position as one of the nation’s foremost purveyors of the power pop form with their latest studio album and build on their reputation as a great band with fiery chemistry and fantastic songs” Vents Masgazine says: “Go Time! is a rare unit; few bands could manage producing such an abundance of fine material within one calendar year and, they clear any goal they set for themselves with room to spare.” Band Blurb says: Go Time continues to mark themselves as one of the best power pop guitar bands working today. They are instrumentally superb on every level and couple that with songwriting that imaginatively goes the extra mile to make substantive personal and wider statements. Gas House Radio says: “Go Time are building a legacy at this point and, after nearly ten years as a working band and a half dozen studio albums under their belt, they have achieved much. VI leaves them poised to achieve more”. RazorFish Reviews says: “Go Time has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the best modern power pop bands that will only be further burnished by this new release”. Indie Music Review says: “Go Time’s sixth album continues to expand their growing body of first class rock music with equally sharp songwriting”.

Buckle up, Shifties!  HERE IT IS!!!  Emi begins a BRAND NEW SEASON with a truly mind-blowing interview of himself and illustrious Author, Frank Joseph, where they talk about his 2013 book, 'The Lost Colonies of Ancient America'.   Was America truly unknown to the outside world until Christopher Columbus "discovered" it in 1492? Could a people gifted enough to raise the Great Pyramid more than 4,000 years ago have lacked the skills necessary to build a ship capable of crossing the Atlantic? Did the Phoenicians, who circumnavigated the African continent in 600 bc, never consider sailing farther? Were the Vikings, the most fearless warriors and seafarers of all time, terrified at the prospect of a transoceanic voyage? If so, how are we to account for an Egyptian temple accidentally unearthed by Tennessee Valley Authority workers in 1935? What is a beautifully crafted metal plate with the image of a Phoenician woman doing in the Utah desert? And who can explain the discovery of Viking houses and wharves excavated outside of Boston? These enigmas are but a tiny fraction of the abundant physical proof for Old World visitors to our continent hundreds and thousands of years ago. In addition, Sumerians, Minoans, Romans, Celts, ancient Hebrews, Indonesians, Africans, Chinese, Japanese, Welsh, Irish, and the Knights Templar all made their indelible, if neglected, mark on our land.
