Hello, everyone! Summer is definitely summering here in Texas, but the heat can't stop Some Guy in Austin and me from podcasting in the glorious air conditioning about things that bother us. He sent me a list of his "pet peeves," and some turned out to be more of an idiosyncrasy variety. Pointing that out to him, it turns out, is also a pet peeve of his. Go figure. At least I didn't touch his food. EPISODE NOTES: 75 Pet Peeves That Are Annoying SHOW NOTES: Subscribe to Podcast: iTunes or Android Follow Me: Instagram and Twitter Audio Player

Hello, everyone! Bachelor Grant's journey to find love has come to an end, and we are left with one very happy lady and one who is shocked and ready to get some answers from Uncle Jesse Palmer at the finale celebration. Spoiler alert: She still leaves dumbfounded. Some Guy in Austin and I break down everything you need to know about this episode, including: Was Litia's baby timeline the detail that left her without a very important ring on a very important finger? Did Julianna win because she was, and I quote, "More fun?" How much grease was in Clayton's hair, and was his segment necessary? Who among this season's cast will be invited to Bachelor in Paradise? How much ick did you have to swallow down when you heard that Golden rejects will be joining the PYTs in Paradise? Ten bucks says Leslie is grinding up on a twenty-something dude by episode three. You know I'm right. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE for my official Bachelorette cheat sheet! Click HERE to be sucked in by the stats on Bachelor Data! Hello, everyone! It's Fantasy Suite week on The Bachelor, and we've got all the information for you, even though Some Guy in Austin and I knew exactly who was going home at the end of the night. That doesn't stop us from discussing very important details, such as: Is the Dominican Republic the perfect place to get engaged? Did Julianna hate her muddy four-wheeler date more than Zoe hated her silent yoga date? Will Litia be the last woman standing? And does anyone remember Kaity from Zack's season? Or maybe a better question is...does anyone remember Zack? EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE for my official Bachelorette cheat sheet! Click HERE to be sucked in by the stats on Bachelor Data! Hello, everyone! Even though I practically had to beg him, Some Guy in Austin and I are back to discuss the Carolina Show! I mean, The Bickering Show! I mean, Grant's Women Tell All! So much was revealed in this episode, such as: What did Grant actually say to Rose that made her assume he was thinking of her while Carolina was grinding on him? Is Dina trying out for the part of Elle Woods for a theatrical debut in the stage production of Legally Blonde? And was Linda the Llama the biggest star of the night? Or was it Sarafeina's mom, Velma? How lame was the Magic Mirror, and why didn't Uncle Jesse Parlmer ask it who won was the fairest of them all? Based on early reviews, I know that the answer was NOT Snow White. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE for my official Bachelorette cheat sheet! Click HERE to be sucked in by the stats on Bachelor Data! Hello, everyone! Well, our favorite week has finally arrived. Bachelor Grant is going on four exciting hometown dates and Some Guy in Austin, and I couldn't be happier. We break down everything you need to know about the episode, like: Julianna doesn't need a blouse or a pretty top. She'll just put on her shapewear and call it a day! Who cares if Zoe's aunt feels Zoe and Grant have more layers to peel back? They are totally going to get that done as they partake in a bridal photoshoot. It just makes sense. Will Litia's family accept Grant with all his tattoos, earrings, and propensity to drink on occasion? And how many layers of lip gloss did Dina's friend Erita slather on before her close-up? My guess is at least a dozen. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE for my official Bachelorette cheat sheet! Click HERE to be sucked in by the stats on Bachelor Data! Hello, everyone! Grant is well on his way to finding his one true love, and this week, Some Guy in Austin and I discuss everything you need to know in case you missed the show. This includes, but is not limited to: Raise your hand if you sang the Outlander theme song in your head the entire time we were in Scotland. How incredibly handsome is Jamie Fraser? Did Carolina seal her own fate when she cried in front of Grant? Again. How shocked were you at the very last rose given out? I may have accidentally choked on all the air I sucked into my lungs as a result of the shock. I'm glad my friend Brooke was with me to help. By pointing and laughing. Hello, everyone! Well, Grant is well on his way to finding love in Madrid, and I am here for it. Some Guy in Austin and I break down everything you need to know from Episode 4, including but not limited to: Is Grant melting Dina's Ice Queen persona? The gift of a Spanish rock: Is this romantic, and what are the odds that Parisa has a rock tumbler at home? Did Rose self-eliminate because she saw the writing on the wall? Or was she over-tired? Or both? Is Carolina ready to take the role of official season villain? And is Sarafiena your new favorite like she is mine? I'm so glad she survived tandem bungee jumping in the rain. Of course, she will kiss Grant with the full force of her entire being. And the fact that she apologized to her mom afterward? She's awesome. Some Guy in Austin and I break down everything you need to know from Episode 3, including but not limited to: Our idea for a new and improved blanket - Someone get the sharks on the phone Did someone murder Beverly, and ABC is trying to cover it up? Did Rose lie to Grant? Did Grant lie to Carolina? Or did everyone hear what they thought they heard? I apologize in advance for the words Alexe wrote down on a dry-erase board that made me wheeze laughing two separate times during this podcast. It won't hurt my feelings if you hit the fast-forward button because it takes us a second to compose ourselves. And I think you know who says the crass thing. I just laughed. Some Guy in Austin and I break it down for you and discuss the most important details, including: How do we feel about someone describing us as "juicy?" Who is Mario, and did anyone know he had become so popular after the Step Up dance movie? Was Carolina oblivious to the fact that the vibe was off after her cocktail party or was she faking it? And if I tell you that we are going to the mall, what song immediately plays in your head? If it's not Robin Sparkles, you don't know me at all. Hello, everyone! It's been eight weeks of golden goodness, and Joan's season finale did not disappoint. Some Guy in Austin and I break it down for you and discuss the important parts you need to know, such as: Joan's children and the one who has questionable eyewear Chock's casual gift of what we think is a townhouse in New York City And Guy's Golden Mesnick moment Each and every year, that move does not disappoint. Hello everyone! It's fantasy week, people, and Joan is taking the hanky panky out of the equation because she's a classy lady. I applaud Joan for her conviction! Some Guy in Austin wonders if that's why one of her suitors bailed. Per the usual, this makes for some great content on the podcast. Don't worry, Joan. I've got your back! Hello, everyone! We have reached Joan's hometown dates. Can you believe it? It seems like yesterday Keith was comparing our golden bachelorette to a warm pair of sweatpants straight out of the dryer. And now Joan is galavanting all across the US, trying to memorize the names of her suitors, kids, and grandkids. Some Guy in Austin and I discuss all sorts of hometown details, including: Joan's choice of wardrobe in Lake Tahoe and if sunscreen was applied to the exposed parts of her boobs. The beauty of Pascal's children and how his son also wears friendship bracelets, just like his dad! How you could fit an entire person between Joan and Jordan when they were sitting on a couch meeting his family. And Chock's decision to invite all of Bachelor Nation to grieve his mother by planting a tree with the entire extended family. I call that a party foul. Do you? Hello, everyone! Some Guy in Austin is back, and we are ready to discuss this week's episode of Joan's golden journey. We have lots of thoughts, opinions, and questions, including the following: Do we want to see sixty-year-old men in tightie whities? No, thank you. Was Chock a jackwagon for acting like Joan was his girlfriend on the bowling date? Did Pascal recoil at the rented shoes on said bowling date? Is Mark the sweetest, kindest man on the planet? How shocked were you by the final four? I personally yelled at the television. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE for my official Bachelorette cheat sheet! Hello everyone! Well, Some Guy in Austin and I had a delightful conversation about Joan's golden adventure to find love, and I learned a few things along the way. Number one: You should always stretch and have a nice warm bowl of Quaker Oats before a rigorous game of kickball. Number two: If you are over sixty years of age, nine times out of ten, no one should see your sternum when you are allegedly fully clothed. And number three: Wayne Newton, Mr. Las Vegas himself, is NOT dead! For some reason, I think that needs to be reported. Danke Schoen! Hello, everyone! Well, I hope you are ready for an in-depth conversation about prom, because Some Guy in Austin and I circle that drain for about eight minutes. Yes, I need to know what he wore, and yes, I need to know what song was playing when he slow-danced with his date. We also talk a little bit about Joan and her golden suitors, who might be more interested in their lack of closet space than our fair-haired bachelorette. I'm looking at you, Pascal. Hello there! Welcome to everyone's favorite episode...THE FANTASY SUITES! Some Guy in Austin and I break it all down and discuss the important pieces of information you need to know about the forego card dates, including: Is Molly Mesnick the new Trista? Did Jesse Palmer play golf the entire time he was in Hawaii? Could Marcus be any more precious? And how do we feel about matching shirts and bottoms as an outfit? Some say it's fine. Hello everyone! If you've been around this podcast or even my recap for longer than a minute, you probably know the moment I checked out of Devin's hometown date. Let me give you a hint. It started with the word "Running" and ended with the word "Club." Some Guy in Austin and I break down all of the intricacies of each hometown date and share our thoughts about pounding coffee after a mile hike in the heat, pounding champagne after a friendly game of lacrosse, and pounding donuts in a grocery store full of animatronics. Hello everyone! Well, Some Guy in Austin is back this week to talk about all the things surrounding Jenn's journey to find love. We cover a lot of ground in this episode, including but not limited to: Aggressive turtlenecks. Is this a thing? Should we be worried that Jenn's ex-boyfriend looks nothing like her current crop of suitors? Was the rain on Jon-athon's date real or fake? And how hard is it to herd sheep? The answer is extremely difficult. Especially when you don't open the gate. Major foul, guys. Major foul. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE for this week's bachelorette recap! Hello, everyone! Some Guy in Austin and I are thrilled to share our picks for this season of The Bachelorette! Hello, everyone! This week, Some Guy in Austin is back, and we travel back to 1986 to discuss one of our favorite movies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It's one of THE BEST! Just listen to this synopsis: "Ferris Bueller has an uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, 'borrows' a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day journey through the streets of Chicago. On Ferris' trail is high school principal Rooney, determined to catch him in the act." Ferris taught us that we should have at least three fake accents in our repertoire, that it is okay to covet Sloane's hair, and that a black and brown vest paired with a leather jacket and white patent shoes sounds like a fashionable nightmare, but actually withstands the test of time. But most importantly, Ferris taught us that life moves pretty fast. If we don't stop and look around once in a while, we could miss it. EPISODE NOTES Here's the trailer for Ferris Bueller's Day Off. This field is intended to show the author details, and with HPR shows it contains an obfuscated email address and a name: ken.nospam@nospam.fallon.ie (Ken Fallon) The lack of this information makes knowing who created a given HPR show difficult to determine before listening to it. Y'all, the showrunners got me. I'll hand it to ABC, the sneaky little buggers, and admit that they tricked me into looking at Joey's Home Depot proposal pedestal for all the drama when I should have been looking at the white Chevy Tahoe! Hello, everyone! Can you believe we have finally reached Joey's Women Tell All episode? I'll tell you, Some Guy in Austin and I couldn't care less what all the women said, but we did care about how Joey narrowed his roster down to two women. Let me tell you, dear listener, we have some thoughts. Such as: Was that the sweetest little breakup you ever did see? Should "We Need To Talk" be the name of Kelsey's podcast after this thing goes south? Should Some Guy in Austin treat the upcoming solar eclipse like a dry run for the apocalypse? When watching The Notebook, who do you think deserved Allie's hand in marriage? And why does my podcast co-host infuriate me with such nonsensical answers like James Marsden? Should extra points be given to: Women who can paint somewhat concentric circles Women who paint their bodies and roll around on a canvas Women who get zits from the stress of a two-on-one date Women who aren't afraid of sausages flying at their face Poor Autumn. Here's hoping the ABC Intern offered her a refreshing breath mint before her alone time with Joey! EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to read the recap! Click HERE to check out my handy roster cheat sheet! Hello everyone! It's episode 3 of The Bachelor, and Joey is already having to navigate a mean girl situation. The bad news is that the villain is extra spicy and a whole lotta clueless. The good news is that Maria was able to shut the nonsense down with one sentence. Some Guy in Austin and I marvel at Maria's line and discuss several other important matters, such as: Can the art of kissing be considered a talent? What are the odds those women ate the KFC at the pool party? How mad was Jenn upon learning her one-on-one date was surfing and she spent all that time curling her hair? Does confessing the fact that the women in your family are all single imply that y'all are a band of merry murderesses, and exactly what shade of red is that flag? The answer is deep, deep crimson. Hello, everyone! It's a great time to be covering The Bachelor! I've had so many listeners, readers, and friends approach me about Joey and how they are fully on board with his season! And I couldn't be more delighted. Some Guy in Austin and I break the second episode down with lots of laughs and lots of questions. For example: Is the official wardrobe of the season distressed mom jeans and neutral tops? Did Evalin suffer a concussion when she landed on her face after jumping over that table? Why did a bra-less Maria put on a bra and then claim to be more comfortable? Some Guy in Austin opted out of that discussion. Understandable. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to read this week's recap! Hello everyone! Can you believe that we are kicking off Season 28 of The Bachelor? Gone are the days of twenty women nervously exiting a limo and giggling at their chance to find love with a stranger. Nowadays, there are so many cringy icebreakers that we have to edit it down from thirty to the top fifteen most embarrassing mishaps. Some Guy in Austin and I discussed how many times I hid behind my couch cushion, and let me tell you, dear listener, it was a lot. There were balls, and bananas, and disappointing chemistry experiments. Not to mention the fact that one problematic girl actually waved her own red flag. Run, Joey. RUN! Hello everyone! Well we finally made it to the Golden Bachelor finale of GerryGary's season, and Some Guy in Austin has thoughts and opinions about what went down in Costa Rica. We LOVE Gerry/Gary, but I will say, we fly way off-base a few times, covering all sorts of other important topics like my trip to Africa, Christmas, and the artist formerly known as Prince. But we tie it up with a nice bow at the end, celebrating our inaugural golden season. Would you expect anything less from us? I think not. EPISODE NOTES: Read all about Arise Africa HERE! Hello everyone! It's hometown week. Some Guy in Austin and I have lots of thoughts and opinions about the children, the grandchildren, and which lady will be left standing, helping ease Gerry Gary's pain that will inevitably occur after breaking someone's heart. We also share stories about large dead animals and their proper disposal. Gotta love those tangents! EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to check out my handy roster cheat sheet! Hello everyone! This week, I didn't prepare an intro, because I don't need one. All you have to know is that during this episode, I managed to record commentary with Some Guy in Austin and Mama. I just sat back and tried not to snort laugh. I was not successful. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to read the recap! Click HERE to check out my handy roster cheat sheet! Hello everyone! We are getting down to the nitty-gritty with Gerry, and our golden bachelor is going to have to make some serious decisions in the upcoming weeks. However, he's pretty cut and dry during episode four. Some Guy in Austin and I discuss the dangers of fake pickleball injuries and the ramifications of using scathing language when communicating with other women. According to Gerry's actions, such nonsense will land you in the rejection SUV faster than you can say ZIP IT! EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to read the recap! Hello, everyone! Well, after three years of advertisements, ABC has finally aired the inaugural episode of The Golden Bachelor, and it did not disappoint! Some Guy in Austin and I break down everything you need to know from the hour-long (PTL!) journey, including: Gerry's emotional love story with his now deceased wife If Leslie really dated Prince The importance of laugh therapy And some of the saucier one-liners I'm looking at you, Susan, you naughty lady. Hello everyone! This podcast is a direct result of audience participation. I'm telling you, I have received more requests to record an episode on Golden Bachelor Gerry's cast of suitors than any other season in recent memory. Bachelor Nation is INTRIGUED. Some Guy in Austin and I sift through all twenty-two women to report on the important things you need to know, such as: Who doesn't like cold temperatures? Who is most proud of her high credit score? Who has a discreetly hidden tattoo? And which lady wants you to embrace body glitter as if your life depends on it? Gerry is one lucky guy. On September 28, he will have his choice of women who love to travel, adore their pets, are avid pickleball players, and probably have no intention of moving away from their grandkids to start anything more than a friendship. I can't wait! EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to check out my handy roster cheat sheet! Click HERE to be sucked in by the stats on Bachelor Data! ABC did its best to trick us during Charity's final moments on her journey to find love, and let me tell you, dear reader, IT WORKED. I had all but monogrammed Joey's initials on a towel and sent my practical engagement gift in the mail postmarked "Charity's House | Georgia" when his bright blueberry suit pant leg unfolded itself out of the limo. Some Guy in Austin and I share all the essential details of Bachelorette Charity's finale. We cover the important topics, such as: Did Joey hire a hair stylist, and should that person get a raise? Why in God's green earth is Peter the Pilot's mom and dad in the studio audience? How tight are Val's pants on Dancing with the Stars, and will Dotun make it through all of the Los Angeles glitz and glamor as Charity spends time there? Shouldn't Gerry's season air around five o'clock in the evening? And will we get whiplash from watching such wholesome romance to the debauchery known as Bachelor in Paradise in the next hour? And finally, what's in the mysterious card Jesse gave the girl in the audience? My guess is thirty minutes of alone time with Joey. Some Guy in Austin thinks it's a gift card to Chick-fil-A. So help me if he's right. EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to read my finale recap! Click HERE to check out my handy roster cheat sheet! Click HERE to be sucked in by the stats on Bachelor Data! I need everyone to throw up some praise hands because it's a complete miracle that this podcast is out. Why? Well, first of all, it's been a week. Lots of ups and downs and twists and turns. Yet here I am, on a Sunday afternoon, editing and posting the podcast. That's victory number one. Victory number two is getting Some Guy in Austin to sit down for two hours in order to watch Men Tell All, let alone give me another hour to try and figure out something to talk about. Let me tell you, he did not disappoint. I snort laugh on multiple occasions. Was it because I was so tired? So sad? Or because he's actually figured out how to make this episode entertaining? I'll let you be the judge of that! EPISODE NOTES: Click HERE to check out my handy roster cheat sheet! Click HERE to be sucked in by the stats on Bachelor Data! Hello everyone! We've reached fantasy suite week, and lo and behold, our girl Charity decides to do some forgoing. Some Guy in Austin and I break down everything you need to know, including: Did Xavier self-sabotage his date? Or is he a moron? Is this Joey's journey to lose? If given the option, would Fiji water be your choice as the best of all bottled waters? Can Dotun be any cuter, and how badly will his heart be broken at the end of this? Is Charity a real-life Barbie doll? What will our golden bachelor Gerry compare relationships to? Hint: Some Guy has a theory, and it makes me snort-laugh. You're gonna love it.
