Sean Worthington, CEO of RAIDA Tech, joined guest host Connie Willis (info) to discuss Cloud Coin, his vision for a perfect money system, and the challenges faced in implementing it. Worthington elaborated on his vision for a perfect money system through Cloud Coin, positioning it as a more efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to cryptocurrency. Unlike blockchain-based systems, Cloud Coin operates on a simple file containing passwords and a serial number. Transactions occur by exchanging these files, allowing instant authentication without requiring accounts, logins, or keys. According to Worthington, the system eliminates the need for energy-intensive mining, achieving millions of transactions per second without fees or excessive electricity consumption.Worthington described Cloud Coin's global infrastructure as being designed to resist systemic failures and government interference. Its decentralized servers span countries like Russia, Australia, and Argentina, ensuring continuous operation. He asserted that this system aligns with libertarian ideals of free trade and privacy, offering a digital equivalent to physical cash that protects against surveillance. Cloud Coin's adaptability could even empower nations, potentially transforming currencies like the U.S. dollar into untraceable yet globally effective digital cash, he suggested.Worthington also predicted an explosive growth in AI by 2025. He foresees AI's integration into everyday life, with innovations like household robots potentially becoming commonplace. While acknowledging AI's productivity and cost-effectiveness, he warned of its potential risks, such as misuse, fake content, and the looming possibility of AI developing uncontrollable behaviors. He emphasized the need for containment strategies and punitive measures for misuse to prevent catastrophic outcomes. Worthington advised individuals to embrace AI tools to enhance their work efficiency and adaptability, noting that leveraging AI expertise may help secure employment in an evolving, AI-driven economy.------------------------------------------During the second half of the program, Ed Weigle reflected on his extensive career as a voice actor and radio personality, discussing his work with various celebrities and iconic figures. He shared memories of his early interest in radio and voice acting, starting at age 13, which eventually led to working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. He said his journey into the field was deeply rooted in his passion for classic broadcasting, which is reflected in his collection of vintage microphones.Throughout his career, Weigle had the privilege of meeting and collaborating with well-known figures such as Mr. Rogers, Arnold Palmer, and Jimmy Stewart. He fondly recalled the deep respect and camaraderie he shared with Mr. Rogers and Arnold Palmer, emphasizing their kindness and the unique connections they fostered in his life. For example, he produced a major ad campaign featuring Palmer, and his hometown ties to Mr. Rogers made their relationship particularly meaningful.Weigle spoke warmly about Jimmy Stewart, with whom he formed a personal bond through a portrait he created, and shared admiration for the actor's legendary career and integrity. He reflected on lighter and more humorous moments with other celebrities. He recounted his encounters with Jerry Springer, describing him as a generous and approachable personality despite his controversial television legacy. He also mentioned unique interactions with older Hollywood icons like Gloria Stuart, showcasing the variety of people he met throughout his career.

Host Jodie Sweetin is joined by Amy McCarthy and divorce mediator Judith Weigle, who discuss the importance of consistency in co-parenting  as well as the need for security while co-parenting.  In this episode we will discuss the importance of dealing with your own pain, establishing a consistent message, the role of stepparents and other elements that come into play in co-parenting situations. Oftentimes stress is a trigger for substance use and these are all factors that need to be managed in co-parenting situations.    IN THIS EPISODE: [3:41] Co-Parenting and positive communication  [5:36] How to be able to present kids with tools and how to begin the conversation of divorce with their kids  [7:54] Talking with a therapist helps parents have their own place to process emotions  [10:08] Consistency and communication in co-parenting [18:02] How to talk to kids about dating or the role of a stepparents   KEY TAKEAWAYS: Statistically children of divorced parents are 3 times more likely to suffer from drug and alcohol abuse than children of non divorced parents Consistency is a key component here. Humans are creatures of habit. Having routines and expectations set up are critically important for developing minds and children. It's not really an argument up for debate. There's ways to be honest with your children without having to reveal all of the information or all of the details. Divorce doesn't have to be a recipe for disaster. It can be an opportunity for all people involved to show up, to have honest conversations, and to continue to support their children.   ***DISCLAIMER***The views, information, or opinions expressed during the Awkward Conversation series are solely those of the individuals, speakers, commentators, experts, and or hosts involved and do not necessarily reflect nor represent those of the production, associates or broadcaster, or any of its employees. Who Really Cares?

Simple Thoughts Devotions

Who Cares?WHO CARES!?!? This seems to be the cry of many today. Who cares that....my bills are unpaid,my child is sick,my family is falling apart,my job has been lost,my son is on drugs,my daughter is unwed and pregnant,my parents are in a nursing home,my medicine is more than I can afford,my child is in the military in some distant land.my heart is heavy from worrying?Truthfully, there are probably very few people who care. It seems that each person is so wrapped up in their own concerns, problems, and worries that they don't have time for anyone else. By and large our neighbors are consumed with their own needs. Sadly, this often is true in the Christian community as well as within the world at large. Christians are often wrapped up in their own little world to the extent that they don't see anyone else who is suffering. Sure sounds bleak and lonely doesn't it? When looked at from the above perspective it does. But, if we will just take a moment to consider the Word of God, we will find another picture - a picture that is bright and beautiful. In 1 Peter 5:7 we find these words of comfort...Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. This is a picture of someone casting their burdens and anxieties much like a fishermen would a net. This is someone who has placed all of their concerns into one big pile and taken aim at a specific target they wish to hit. The target is the Lord Himself. Jesus is speaking in this verse of scripture to a group of first century Christians who are facing persecutions on every hand. He says to them that His Father is ready, willing, and able to take ALL of their cares upon Him. Amazingly, Jesus says that the reason His Father is willing to do this, is because that He cares for them. Though our friends and family may be to busy to care about our concerns, the Father above still cares for us.Read the words of this beautiful old hymn. They describe what I am trying to say...No One Ever Cared For Me Like JesusWords and Music: C.F. WeigleThis song by Charles Weigle is the product of one of the darkest periods of his life. He spent most of his life as an itinerant evangelist and gospel songwriter. One day after returning home from an evangelistic crusade, he found a note left by his wife of many years. The note said she had had enough of an evangelist's life. She was leaving him. Weigle became so despondent during the next several years that there even times when he contemplated suicide. There was the terrible despair that no one really cared for him anymore. Gradually his spiritual faith was restored, and he once again became active in the Christian ministry. Soon he felt compelled to write this song. I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true;I would tell you how He changed my life completely,He did something that no other friend could do.No one ever cared for me like Jesus,There's no other friend so kind as He;No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,O how much He cared for me.All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me,All my heart was full of misery and woe;Jesus placed His strong and loving arms about me,And He led me in the way I ought to go.No one ever cared for me like Jesus,There's no other friend so kind as He;No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,O how much He cared for me.Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance,More and more I understand His words of love; But I'll never know just why He came to save me,Till some day I see His blessed face above. No one ever cared for me like Jesus,There's no other friend so kind as He;No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,O how much He cared for me.He really does CARE ABOUT YOU!
