U.S. SEN STEVE DAINES (R)-MONTANA TRT: 15:10 GIANFORTE, SHEEHY MTG IN DC/FEDERAL FUNDNG CUTS/GNP SEASONAL WORKERS
It's the home stretch of the presidential campaign with just eight days to go until Election Day. Former President Trump and Vice President Harris have been making appearances across swing states and are also stumping for Senate candidates with the balance of power on the line. Republicans are looking to pick up seats that could give them the majority in the Senate, with tight races in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. Chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) joins the Rundown to discuss the key races that will decide the balance of power, how confident he feels that Republicans could take the majority, and what fundraising has gone into the races across the nation. According to the New York City Mayor's office, over 200 thousand migrants have come to the city since 2022, and over sixty thousand are in its care. Many of these individuals struggle to receive work permits and visas, making it extremely difficult to find legal jobs. Co-host of Good Day New York, Rosanna Scotto, joins the Rundown to share what she has discovered about the NYC migrant crisis in her new FOX Nation special, The Underground Economy. Plus, commentary from senior fellow at the America First Policy Institute and the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy, Andy Puzder. (Images Via AP) Learn more about your ad choices. Less than six months remain until the 2024 Election and who will be sitting in the Oval Office is not the only choice facing voters. Many prominent Democrat senators are set to retire at the end of their terms, leading Republicans to believe they could flip the balance of power in that chamber of Congress. Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) joins the Rundown to discuss Republican strategy heading into the election, what races he'll be focusing on in the Senate, and what issues will be on the minds of voters in November. It seems that almost everyone is on a journey to become a healthier version of themselves. However, hectic lifestyles, inflation, and a lack of understanding of what's good can make sticking to a healthy regimen hard. Stanford-trained physician and co-founder of Levels, Dr. Casey Means, believes that the key to a healthy lifestyle is understanding your body and metabolism. She joins to talk about her new book, Good Energy: The Surprising Connection between Metabolism and Limitless Health, and how the American healthcare system is failing its patients. On Tuesday, the U.S. stock market stumbled with the Nasdaq dropping to a new low for the year and the Dow sliding more than 800 points. The turbulent market is a result of rising inflation and so far, the Biden administration's Fed has signaled its solution may be to raise interest rates once more. The economy continues to be a main concern for American voters, like Ohioans who are heading to the polls for a Senate primary on May 3rd. Democrat Congressman Tim Ryan is running for Senate in Ohio, and he joins the podcast to break down why the prosperity of the U.S. economy relies on taking on China, his goal to rebuild the middle class, and his strategy for running against Republicans in a red state. This Wednesday, Russia halted its supply of gas to Poland and Bulgaria in an act the two countries describe as blackmail for refusing to pay for the resource in rubles. Despite all the sanctions the U.S. and other countries have imposed on Russia for their attacks on Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin claims the country's economy is still strong. Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) was the first U.S. Senator to visit Ukraine since Russia's invasion. He joins the Rundown to discuss the horrific sights he witnessed on his trip, the investigation into Russian war crimes, and the long-term impact the war in Ukraine could have on the oil and gas industry.
