Why environmental activists hate humans, GOP Congressman: “We're the pro-life party.”, Myanmar's Buddhist military blocking humanitarian help

It's Thursday, September 8th,  A.D. 2022. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Myanmar's Buddhist military blocking humanitarian help Ever since the February 2021 military coup that deposed Myanmar's democratically elected government, infighting between the military and pro-democracy forces has led to violence and mass displacement, reports International Christian Concern. Religious minorities, including Christians, are especially targeted in crackdowns by the Buddhist nationalist military.  In war-torn Kayah state especially, widespread displacement due to fighting has led to a humanitarian crisis with 200,000 internally displaced civilians lacking necessities such as food and medicine because the Burmese army is blocking supply routes.  Military troops have destroyed food reserves and the constant infighting makes it impossible to farm. Health problems are rampant as access to medical care is also being denied.  Worse yet, many of those who have attempted to return to their homes have been killed or injured by landmines planted by military junta.  Please pray for those who are suffering from oppression and persecution in Myanmar. Biden to heckler: “Everyone's entitled to be an idiot!” While President Joe Biden gave a Labor Day speech in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a heckler tried to interrupt. When the crowd started booing, the president said this. BIDEN: “No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Don't. Let him go. He's. Look, everybody's entitled to be an idiot. No, no. Everybody's entitled, okay?” Former Arkansas Republican Governor Mike Huckabee responded to Biden's reaction on Todd Starnes' radio show. HUCKABEE: “He called one of the hecklers in the audience this weekend an idiot. But that was right after he said how we have to fight for the soul of America and respect each other. And I'm thinking, ‘Yep, that sure did it for me!'” GOP Congressman: “We're the pro-life party.” Appearing on Fox & Friends on Tuesday, Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio was asked what he thinks the Republicans' message should be on abortion since Roe v. Wade was overturned and the mid-term election nears. JORDAN: “We're the pro-life party. We're going to protect the sanctity of human life. Democrats have the radical position. They're the ones who thinks you should be able to take the unborn child's life right up until their birthday, for goodness sake! And they had a governor in Virginia [Ralph Northam], just a few years ago, who said even after that fact, you could take the life of a child. That is frightening!   “So lean into it and talk about, ‘We're the party that's going to protect the sanctity of human life like we've always been.' This was a huge win for the precious nature of human life, and I don't think we should shy away from it.” In Jeremiah 1:5, God said, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." Why environmental activists hate humans On yesterday's edition of Generations Radio, I interviewed Dr. Calvin Beisner, Founder of the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, about how the "green" global elites are aiming for total food control. Their power grab, which is now most evident in Holland, threatens the entire planet — including America. My interview was based on two alarming articles in the New American entitled “No Farmers, No Food” and “Biden's War on Farmers.” The environmental activists are using the ploy of “global warming” to severely restrict the amount of chemical fertilizers and pesticides as well as the number of cattle which farmers can use and own.  Listen to Beisner's analysis of the worldview of today's environmentalists. BEISNER:  “They hate humanity because human beings are made in God's image. Environmentalists have embraced a naturalistic worldview that rejects the Creator, worships the creature instead of the Creator, is driven into absurdity, into folly, professing themselves to be wise, they become fools. They worship and serve the creature instead of the Creator, as Paul puts it in Romans chapter one. “That means they want to attack anything that looks like God. Well, human beings are the image of God, and therefore, they want to reduce human population. “The top leaders of the world's largest environmental organizations think that the optimal human population would be 300 to 500 million people. That means we got to get rid of about 97% of us.” McMANUS: “Wow!” BEISNER: “This is not people who love their neighbors, let alone love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.” (Luke 10:27) You can listen to the entire September 7th interview at Generations.org/radio. British churches welcome Ukrainian refugees And finally, after the rapid takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban in August 2021, 20,000 people arrived in England, almost overnight.  The British church mobilized to welcome Afghan families and provide practical help, reports Evangelical Focus. The British Christians have been equally welcoming of Ukrainian refugees who have left their country since the Russian invasion. For example, since Easter, Gold Hill Baptist Church in Buckinghamshire has run a drop-in cafe twice a week, offering English lessons to over 40 Ukrainians, and a space where guests and hosts can meet together. In Matthew 25:35, Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed Me.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Thursday, September 8th, in the year of our Lord 2022. Subscribe by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. It's Friday, August 5th, A.D. 2022. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) In 2021, 26,774 Indian Christians persecuted for their faith Open Doors recently finished compiling final numbers of persecution in India. Between January and December 2021, 26,774 Indian Christians faced physical, psychological, emotional or spiritual abuse for their faith. Twenty of those believers were murdered. On average, 73 Christians face some form of persecution a day in India. Nearly 70% of those abused Christians are women or children.  Between 2020 and 2021, the number of persecution incidents in the country increased by 54%. One Indian pastor told Open Doors, "I cannot stop serving God. I cannot live without God because I've surrendered my whole life to Him. I'll keep serving God till my last breath, even in happiness or sadness, even if I have to suffer greatly or slightly, even if I have to give my life for God." James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” Furious China fires missiles near Taiwan after Pelosi visit China deployed scores of planes and fired live missiles near Taiwan on Thursday in its biggest drills in the Taiwan Strait, a day after U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a solidarity trip to the self-ruled island, reports Reuters. Responding to the Chinese drills, Taiwan's President, Tsai Ing-wen, said Taiwan would not provoke conflicts but would firmly defend its sovereignty and national security. The military activity followed Pelosi's unannounced visit of support to Taiwan in defiance of warnings from China. China, which has long said it reserves the right to take Taiwan by force, says its differences with the island are an internal affair. Jury awards Sandy Hook parents $4 million against Alex Jones On Thursday, an Austin jury decided Infowars host Alex Jones must pay at least $4.1 million to the family of a 6-year-old boy killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting for the suffering that Jones caused by claiming the December 2012 massacre was a hoax, reports NBC News. Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, whose son Jesse was killed by Adam Lanza, alongside 19 of his classmates and six educators at the school in Newtown, Connecticut, spoke at the trial. Here's what Lewis said. LEWIS: “It seems so incredible to me that we have to do this, that we have to punish you to get you to stop lying, saying it's a hoax. It happened!  It's surreal what's going on in here.” She elaborated on the bizarre, provably false claims by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. LEWIS: “That Sandy Hook was a total hoax, that it was a false flag, that it never happened, that there were no children killed. And you know that's not true. You know that's not true. But when you say those things, there's a fringe of society that believe you, that are actually dangerous.” The father, Neil Heslin, was equally grieved by Alex Jones. HESLIN: “I can't even describe the last nine and a half years of the living hell that I and others have had to endure because of the negligence and recklessness of Alex Jones.” And yet, speaking of the recklessness of Jones, just this week, in the middle of the trial, he went on the radio to spin a new conspiracy altogether. He claimed that Neil Heslin, the Sandy Hook father in the case, is mentally challenged and being manipulated by bad people. JONES: “Let's just say: he's a nice man. It's not an act. He is being manipulated by some very bad people. But I'll just say, because I gotta be honest, he's slow. Okay? I mean, I think he looks and acts like somebody on the [autistic] spectrum.” DeSantis suspends Soros-backed state attorney Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has earned a reputation as a man who is unafraid to take on the Leftist mob. He took on the woke executives at Walt Disney World. He cracked down on illegal aliens. And he's declared war on public schools that are teaching Critical Race Theory. And now – he's going after far-left prosecutors who are refusing to enforce Florida laws that ban abortion and child sex change surgeries, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes. DeSantis announced that he has suspended State Attorney Andrew Warren. The Florida governor said, “We are suspending Soros-backed 13th circuit state attorney Andrew Warren for neglecting his duties as he pledges not to uphold the laws of the state. We are not going to allow this pathogen of ignoring the law get a foothold in the state of Florida.” Football coach offers to adopt unwanted children of players And finally, University of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh put his money where his mouth is in the debate over abortion by offering to adopt any child that was unwanted by his players and staff members, reports The Blaze. Listen to his remarks in a July 27th interview with ESPN, HARBAUGH: “If they have a pregnancy that wasn't planned, go through with it, go through with it. Let that unborn child be born, and if at that time, you don't feel like you can care for it, you don't have the means or the wherewithal, then Sarah and I will take that baby. Any player on our team, any female staff member, any staff member or anybody and in our family or that doesn't feel like, after they have a baby, that they can take care of for it. We've got a big house. We'll raise that baby.” In John 13:35, Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Friday, August 5th, in the year of our Lord 2022. Subscribe by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. It's Tuesday, August 2nd, A.D. 2022. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Justice Samuel Alito condemned religious persecution Speaking at the Religious Liberty Summit in Rome, Italy on July 21st, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito  cautioned that religious liberty is now threatened worldwide.  ALITO: “Religious liberty is under attack in many places because it is dangerous to those who want to hold complete power. “When ISIS occupied Northern Iraq, thousands of Yazidi men and boys were slaughtered, and thousands of women and girls were raped and forced into marriage with ISIS fighters. “In Nigeria, Christians have been under constant attack. “In Egypt, numerous Coptic churches have been attacked, and many worshippers have been killed. “In India, Hindu and Muslim groups have brutally assaulted each other since independence. “And, in China, of course, there is the unspeakable treatment of the Uyghurs.” Snapshot of global persecution hot spots Most recently, Muslim radicals are putting pressure on Christian churches in Burkino Faso, Africa. In Myanmar, the Burmese military's (Tatmadaw) Major General Zaw Min Tu took to a news conference last week, announcing that any criticism of Buddhism in the country would be punished. And, as The Worldview reported on Monday, Hmong Christians in the Nghe An province of Northern Vietnam are under persecution from gangs. In some cases, they are exiled from their homes by their animist relatives. 83 Christian groups urge Senate to reject “gay” marriage bill Quite a bit is at stake as the U.S. Senate considers the “[Dis] respect for Marriage Act.  Alliance Defending Freedom President Michael Farris  told radio talk show host Todd Starnes last week that this bill could lead to polygamy and plural marriages. Listen. FARRIS: “The plain truth is this Act goes well beyond codifying [the] Obergefell [Supreme Court case]. It allows for any state definition of marriage to be federally enforced. So, if the state decides, ‘We're going go polygamy or plural marriages or all kinds of things that are out there in the Left's lexicon these days,' that could be a problem." Plus, Farris said that this [Dis]respect for Marriage bill will result in churches and 501(c)3 groups losing their tax-exempt status with the IRS, if they were to oppose the state on faux homosexual marriage. FARRIS: “The IRS can be sent against nonprofit organizations, denying them their tax-exempt status if they fail to adhere to this definition of marriage.” To their credit, ADF has sponsored a letter to U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and the Republicans in the Senate, encouraging a “no” vote on the bill.  Among the 83 signatories are Al Mohler, Franklin Graham, Tony Perkins, Jim Daly, and Kelly Shackelford. If you have not yet taken the time to call your two U.S. Senators, please do so today! Ask them to vote against the so-called “respect for Marriage Act. Call 202-224-3121. That's 202-224-3121. 173 God-hating businesses advocate for “gay” faux marriage bill Meanwhile, corporate America has come together to advocate for the bill's passage. Spearheaded by the homosexual group, Human Rights Campaign, 173 businesses endorsed the sexually perverted agenda in a July 28th letter to the U.S. Senate. Psalm 2:3 reminds us that these businesses set themselves against the Lord, and against His anointed, saying, “Let us break their bands asunder.” America killed Al Qaeda's #2 leader The U.S. military has taken out another terrorist leader, reports Politico.com. Al Qaeda's number two guy, after Osama Ben Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was killed in a U.S. drone strike on Saturday at 9:48 pm in Kabul, Afghanistan as he stood on the balcony of his home. “Evangelical” socialist author Ron Sider died The Christian “Evangelical” socialist, Ron Sider, died over the weekend at 82 years of age. He is best known for his book Rich Christian in an Age of Hunger. Sider's more recent book, Just Politics, advocates against the death penalty, and in favor of the redistribution of wealth. In addition, he called for extremely high taxes on fossil fuels, so as to “double or triple the prices of these products.”  In his criticisms of Donald Trump in 2020, Ron Sider made the claim that the Democrats' efforts to “reduce poverty” would do a good job of reducing abortion in America whereas Donald Trump would not “substantially change” or reduce abortions in the U.S. Indiana passes pro-life bill with exceptions The Indiana State Senate passed a bill banning abortion with the exceptions of rape and incest.  However, the pro-life Indiana Right to Life group has decried the bill as “woefully” inadequate, failing “ to provide any meaningful enforcement provisions.” Amidst flooding, Kentucky governor asks for prayer At least 28 persons are confirmed dead, from the extensive flooding in Eastern Kentucky. Democrat Governor Andy Beshear is asking the nation to pray. BESHEAR: “The next couple of days are going to be hard. We've got rain, and maybe even a lot of rain, that's going to hit the same areas. “Please pray for the people in these areas. And, if you are in the areas that are going to get hit by rain, make sure you stay safe. Make sure you have a place that is higher ground.” Jeremiah 14:22 asks, “Are there any among the idols of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are You not He, O Lord our God? Therefore, we will wait for You, since You have made all these.” You can help fund the efforts of Samaritan's Purse in Kentucky with a donation. Will COVID panic-demic cost kids $21 trillion in earnings? Various organizations have tried to assess the damage done to children by school closures for the COVID-19 Panic-demic.   The World Bank is guessing that this will cost the young generation $21 trillion in earnings over their lifetimes. Plus, the National Center for Education Statistics says that 70% of U.S. public schools report increases in the number of students looking for mental health services. Consumer Price Index at 9% vs. hourly wage earners up only 5% And finally, the Consumer Price Index is running at 9.1%, while hourly paychecks register only a 5.1% increase.  That's a 4% loss for American workers.  The benefit of the free money in the form of the stimulus checks from 2020 and 2021 has worn off.  And now, 61% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, according to studies conducted by the Lending Club. That's a 9% increase year over year. Another study from Pew Research found that workers who changed jobs  over the last year, enjoyed an inflation-adjusted pay increase of 9.7% while the others lost about 2% in their income. Jim began with news that the White House announced this morning that President Biden checked positive for COVID-19. He's experiencing mild symptoms and is now taking Paxlovid. Jim encouraged listeners to pray for him.--Just after 5pm this past Monday, VCY America received an alert from the Family Research Council indicating that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was scheduling a vote on legislation to codify so-called same-sex marriage the following day.--In an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote in both houses of Congress, the Defense of Marriage Act was approved in 1996 and signed into law by then President Bill Clinton. But now, because of the SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, there's concern from the -left- that other measures they embrace might be overturned.--Pelosi acted very quickly to bring about this vote in the House. Within about 24 hours of its introduction, they passed it -known as HR8404- by a vote of 267-157. In the Senate, the legislation is known as S.4556.--HR8404 says, -It is to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and ensure respect for state regulation of marriage and for other purposes.- Actually, it appears to disrespect the state regulation of marriage. After all, if a state has a defense of marriage act in place, this law would negate that, saying that if any state allows for the marriage of two individuals, they must accept so-called same-sex marriage.--This program is highlighted by comments from a column by Todd Starnes, one from the Washington Stand, related headlines from Lifesite News, FRC Action and more, including Jim's listing of the 47 Republicans that joined Democrats to thumb their noses at the biblical definition of marriage.
