The treasures of Sanatan Dharma is so rich and huge one may not even touch its periphery in one's Lifetime If one were to give up linguistic and regional bias, one may unearth these treasures. I have in many of my posts written on the myth of Tamil and Sanatana Dharma being inimical to each other They complement each other. If one were to read the Vedic texts and ancient Tamil Texts one may notice the following points 1.Shiva is not directly mentioned in the Vedas nor do we find any sukthas ascribed/devoted to Him.His name appears in Sri Rudram, Rudra being an amsa of Shiva and not Shiva in His full Glory 2.Other Gods,Narayna, Vishnu,Varuna, Indra,Agni,Vaayu,Durga, Lakshmi and a Host of others are mentioned in the Vedas 3.Ancient Tamil Spiritual texts mention the following Deities and the earliest Grammar work Tholkaapiyam assigns the territories in which they are the Chief Gods. A).Kurinji, mountainous terrain, Chief Deity is, Cheyon(means The son) called Murugan , that is Subrahmanya . Interestingly Vedas do not mention Subrahmanya directly. B)Mullai, Pastoral lands, the Chief Deity is Maayaon, Vishnu.Maayon means Illusionist, one who creates the Yoga maaya .This is in keeping with the. description of Vishnu in Vedas and the Puranas. C).Marutham, Paddy fields/arable lands, Chief Deity is Indra.. D)Neydhal, Sea and adjoining areas , Chief Deity is Varuna and E)Paalai, Desert Region, Chief Deity is Durga, called Kotravai in Tamil. Even in Tamil, which is believed to have been founded by Lord Shiva,He is not assigned a Region in the manner described above 4.The Yoga system of the Vedic system is by Patanjali. 5.Patanjali is a disciple of Shiva along with Sage Agastya and Bhogar according to Tamil Classics 6.The Yoga developed Thirumoolar, meaning The auspicious first in his Thirumandiram is different from Patanjali's Yoga Sutra. 7.Yoga developed by Agastya follows Thirumoolar and is different from Patanjali's. The meaning Shiva in Sanskrit is Auspiciousness. Mangalam. No other meaning is assigned to this word. In Tamil the etymology is slightly different.. Shiva is from Vaa Si. Vaasi when repeated in quick succession. Hello Everyone This is a mythological Story of Lord Ganesha . Ganapati is one of the most important gods in Hindu mythology and he is also worshipped in Jainism and Buddhism. For the Ganapatya Hindu sect, Ganesha is the most important deity. Ganesha is highly recognisable with his elephant head and human body, representing the soul (atman) and the physical (maya) respectively. He is also the patron of writers, travellers, students, commerce, and new projects (for which he removes obstacles from one's path) and is rather fond of sweets, to the slight detriment of his figure. Early Life Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati and he is the brother of Karthikeya (or Subrahmanya), the god of war. He was created by his mother using earth which she moulded into the shape of a boy. As Shiva was away on his meditative wanderings, Parvati set her new son as guard while she bathed. Unexpectedly, Shiva returned home and, on finding the boy, and outraged at his impudence in claiming he was Parvati's son, Shiva called for his gang of demons, the bhutaganas, who fought ferociously with the boy. However, the youngster easily held his own against such fearsome adversaries and Vishnu was forced to intervene in the form of Maya and, whilst the boy was distracted by her beauty, the demons, or Shiva himself, lopped off his head. At the commotion, Parvati ran from her bath and remonstrated with Shiva for so summarily killing their son. Repentant, Shiva ordered a new head to be found for the boy and, as the first animal available was an elephant, so Ganesha gained a new head and became the most distinctive of the Hindu gods. As a reward for his great courage in fighting the demons, Shiva made Ganesha the leader of the bhutaganas, hence his name.

As one wades through ancient Indian History, one finds astounding information that makes one sit up and check what has been passed off as Indian history. One finds that, Alexander did not defeat Porus, Rig Veda is the oldest literary work by Man, Rama,Krishna and other persons mentioned in Indian Puranas are not fictitious characters, but Real persons who lived, Indian history dates back to thousands of years, All Major Religions have borrowed extensively from Hinduism, Many of the sacred sites of these Religions were Hindu sites, Sanatana Dharma, Hinduism was prevalent throughout the world,in all world cultures……. That Kaaba is a Hindu temple, Muslims worship Shiva Linga, 786 is Flipped OM, Vedic practices are followed in Kaaba, The temple complex in Kaaba is after Vedic construction, I have written and also more on these subjects. The concepts of Shiva,Vishnu,Subrahmanya,Devi….all are found in world Religions. Now more on Kaaba. An ancient Sanskrit couplet from Harihsreswara Mahatmiya mentions the Foot Prints of Lord Vishnu being sanctified in three places. They are Gaya,India, Kaaba,Saudi Arabia and Avebury/ United Kingdom ‘Lord Vishnu's holy footprint consecrated at three main centres in the world, namely one in Gaya (in India), the other in Mecca, and the third near Shukla Teertha, i.e. Abiry. The Vishnu Statue in Britain In the opening part of the introduction to the volume titled A Complete History of the Druids [1], it is stated, “It will be necessary to give an explanation of the pillars, the Circle and Serpent.” On page 9 of the same book it is observed, “This Serpent was the symbol of light and wisdom. Its name Seraph, particularly is so expressive.” The term Seraph is a malpronunciation of the Sanskrit term Serp (i.e. Serpent), which indicates that the ancientmost language of the British Isles, as also of other parts of the world, was Sanskrit. On page 15 of the same book, it is asserted, “It may rationally be concluded from the various opinions of the best historians that this island received its first inhabitants from the eastern parts of the world.” Since people from the East (i.e. India) were the earliest inhabitants of Britain, they naturally erected a statue of Lord Vishnu, the progenitor of the world. Since people from the East (i.e. India) were the earliest inhabitants of Britain, they naturally erected a statue of Lord Vishnu, the progenitor of the world. The name “Isle of Angelsey” in Britain derives from the Sanskrit name of Lord Vishnu as Angulesh, i.e. the Lord of the Angul country. The British Isles were designated Angulsthan, i.e. a finger-size, finger-length country. If the European continent is likened to a palm, then the British Isles appear to be an extended finger. Therefore Sanskrit-speaking explorers named it Angulsthan. It is that same term which later came to be pronounced as Angul and i.e. England. The book on Druids mentioned above states on page 36 that “Many temples of the Druids are said to be yet in part remaining in this island (i.e. the Isle of Man) and that of Angelsey … many of them were made of extraordinary large stones as at Abiry and Stonehenge.” Page 54 describes: “Abiry [now known as Avebury] is founded on the more elevated part of a plain … the entire figure of it (the ruins) is a Seraph or winged serpent transmitted through a circle. … The outer part of the grand circle is a vast and lofty Vallum, with a very deep ditch on the inside of it near 80 ft or 45 cubits broad. Its diameter 750 cubits, its circumference 225 cubits, the enclosed area about 22 acres. Within the ditch was formed a circle of 100 enormous stones set upright, which were generally 15, 16 or 17 ft high, and near as much in breadth. … Out of these 100 stones, 44 were still visible when Dr. Stukeley was there in the year 1722, whereof 17 were standing and 27 thrown down..more at www.ramanisblog.in --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ramanispodcast/message

Tamils have an ancient past and rich literature. .Earliest available Tamil works go back to over 16,000 yeras. Tamil poems were composed ,approved and then made available by Poets" Conclave called Tamil Sangam. There were three Tamil Sangams. These Sangams were an assembly of Poets where the King was a participant.. The Pandya Kings were the promoters of the Sangam. Chera and Ch0zha Kings also promoted Tamil and there were Kings who were great Tamil Poets. There were three such Poets' Conclave. The first Tamil Sangam was held at Then Madurai, the capital of Pandyas. Lord Siva was the President of this Sangam. His son Murugan aka Subrahmanya and Sage Agastya assisted Him.Siva founded the Tamil Language and Tamil arose simultaneously with Sanskrit from Siva's Damaru. The First Sangam produced Two works .Irayanar Ahapporul by Lord Siva and Aindiram By Indra, Chief of Devas. Both are works on Grammar.Second Sangam produced Tholkaapiyam, and Agathiyam. Both are also on Works on Grammar. The books on Grammar from First Sangam, Irayanar Ahapporul,Aindiram and Agathiyam are lost.Only Tholkaapiyam remains and is available .The third Sangam Produced three great Literary works .One of them is Thirumurukaatruppadai, A Spiritual work addressed to Subrahmanya, also called as Murugan In Tamil.
