Catherine (Katie) Ulissey, wife and research partner of geologist Dr. Robert Schoch, found her early years shaped by dance. Conservatory trained, she turned professional at the age of 16, performing with classical ballet and contemporary dance companies, and later transitioning to musical theater, performing on Broadway in a number of productions including the original cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera". Her early childhood in Saudi Arabia sparked a lifelong fascination with ancient mysteries. Katie and Dr. Schoch met at a conference on the topic in 2007 and married on Easter Island in 2010. Together, they have co-authored works exploring ancient civilizations and their connections to cosmic events. Katie has contributed significantly to her husband's research, including connecting Easter Island's previously undeciphered rongorongo script to global “plasma petroglyphs” first identified by renowned physicist Dr. Anthony Peratt of Los Alamos National Laboratory. This discovery shifted her husband's research toward our Sun as the probable cause of the end of the last ice age. Related to this, she noticed giant Lichtenberg patterns emanating from beneath the Great and Second Pyramids on the Giza Plateau (dendritic patterns would be consistent with plasma ejected during massive solar outbursts). More recently, she has offered an hypothesis regarding the potential “Ancient and Intentional Burial of Ancient Egypt” (in similar fashion to Göbekli Tepe). She holds a B.A. from Emerson College (2002) and stays connected to her dance roots by teaching ballet at Wellesley College. She is the author of a children's book, “Adriana and the Ancient Mysteries: The Great Sphinx”, published in German, Italian, and English (revised edition).Dr. Robert M. Schoch, a full-time faculty member at the College of General Studies at Boston University since 1984, and a recipient of its Peyton Richter Award for interdisciplinary teaching, earned his Ph.D. in Geology and Geophysics at Yale University in 1983. He also holds an M.S. and M.Phil. in Geology and Geophysics from Yale, as well as degrees in Anthropology (B.A.) and Geology (B.S.) from George Washington University. In recognition of his research into ancient civilizations, Dr. Schoch was awarded (in 2014) the title of Honorary Professor of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2017, the College of General Studies at Boston University named him Director of its Institute for the Study of the Origins of Civilization (ISOC).In the early 1990s, Dr. Schoch stunned the world with his revolutionary research that recast the date of the Great Sphinx of Egypt to a period thousands of years earlier than its standard attribution. In demonstrating that the leonine monument has been heavily eroded by water despite the fact that its location on the edge of the Sahara has endured hyper-arid climactic conditions for the past 5,000 years, Dr. Schoch revealed to the world that mankind's history is greater and older than previously believed. The subsequently excavated 12,000-year-old megalithic site of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey confirmed these assertions.Dr. Schoch's more recent research has focused on the cataclysmic events that ended Earth's last ice age, circa 9700 BCE, simultaneously decimating the high civilizations of the time. The overwhelming evidence drawn from varying disciplines, put forth in his book Forgotten Civilization: New Discoveries on the Solar-Induced Dark Age (2021), points to enormous solar outbursts as the cause.Dr. Schoch has been quoted extensively in the media for his work on ancient cultures and monuments around the globe. His research has been instrumental in spurring renewed attention to the interrelationships between geological and astronomical phenomena, natural catastrophes, and the early history of civilization. His works have been translated into a number of languages and distributed around the world.Besides his academic and scholarly studies, Dr. Schoch is an active environmental advocate who stresses a pragmatic, hands-on approach. In this connection, he helped found a local community land trust devoted to protecting land from harmful development, serving on its Board of Directors for many years. Los romanos se hicieron con grandes yacimientos en Hispania y Dacia, donde desarrollaron la minería a gran escala. Con ese oro acuñaron monedas como el aureus y el solidus, cuyo valor se mantuvo estable durante siglos. Pero era escaso, así que, desde la antigüedad fueron muchos los que intentaron fabricarlo transmutando metales viles como el plomo en oro. Nunca lo consiguieron, pero con sus repetidos fracasos estos alquimistas sentaron las bases de la química moderna. El descubrimiento y conquista de América abrió un nuevo capítulo en la historia del oro al tiempo que se globalizaba el comercio. La llegada de metales preciosos a España provocó inflación, pero también permitió que las monedas españolas de oro, los doblones de a 8, se convirtiesen en una suerte de divisa aceptada en cualquier parte del mundo por su abundancia y la fiabilidad de su peso y su ley. El siglo XIX vino acompañado de las grandes fiebres del oro. La de California en 1848 atrajo cientos de miles de aventureros que, en unos pocos años, extrajeron unas 800 toneladas transformando para siempre aquel Estado. Tras la de California hubo otras fiebres similares en Australia en 1851, en Sudáfrica en 1886 y a orillas del río Klondike, en Canadá, en 1897. En esa misma época el patrón oro posibilitó la expansión del comercio mundial y financió la revolución industrial. Ese patrón se reajustaría tras la segunda guerra mundial hasta que Richard Nixon lo eliminó por completo en 1971, inaugurando de paso la era del dinero fiduciario. Hoy el oro es, aparte de valor en sí mismo, una materia prima importantísima en sectores como el de la electrónica, la medicina y la exploración espacial. Desde el origen de los tiempos se han extraído poco más de 200.000 toneladas y cada año se extraen unas 3.000 toneladas. El oro sigue siendo escaso y deseado. Si hay oro en los fondos marinos o en los asteroides podemos estar seguros de que alguien irá hasta allí a buscarlo. Po podatkih Agencije za varnost prometa se pri nas največ nesreč z najhujšimi posledicami zgodi prav v poletnih mesecih, od junija do septembra, ko so naše ceste zaradi dopustov in počitnic po vsej Evropi najbolj obremenjene. Pesnik Ivan Dobnik z zbirko Nostalgija, utopija zaokroža svoje intenzivno ustvarjalno obdobje zadnjih petih let, v katerem je osrednja tema poezija sama. Prek zbirke Tihe pesmi, ki sedaj preraščajo v »tisoč pesniških zbirk, ki so / samo za sanje«, zbirke Čajne pesmi, vse mora biti poprej namreč »umito v kopeli čaja / za drobec sekunde«, zbirk Rojstvo oaze in Do konca odprto nebo, ki postajajo »Utopija vsega, kar je«, je nastala Nostalgija, utopija. Gre za zbirko, ki jo mora enkrat v življenju napisati vsak pesnik – pisati poezijo o poeziji, pisati poezijo poezije. Ne le v kontekstu drugih tematik, temveč celotno zbirko posvetiti tovrstnim vprašanjem. Zbirka je apoteoza poezije, kot takšna pa ne more biti ena sama, četudi narava poezije ostaja nespremenjena. »Pesem ne more nastati brez svojega stvaritelja – pesnika,« je Dobnik zapisal v uvodniku z naslovom Prisotnost pesnika – prisotnost poezije v 124./125. številki Poetikona, katerega urednik je. Vsak pesnik mora napisati tovrstno apoteozo zase in s tem tudi za vse druge. Razpetost med nostalgijo in utopijo je razpetost med začetkom njegovega ustvarjanja in tem, kaj poezija je – oaza, nebo, utopija. Metafizični kraj, kjer se srečujeta pesnik in poezija, stvaritelj in stvarstvo. Na predstavitvi je sam poudaril, da je vse bistvene koncepte, vse bistvene nastavke domislil v svojih gimnazijskih letih, hkrati pa je poezija postala utopija, dobesedno ne-kraj. Zbirka torej v tem smislu v domišljanju poezije doseže vrhunec. Če oaza in nebo, ki se prav tako kot motiva pojavljata v zbirki Nostalgija, utopija, v sebi še nosita nekakšno krajevnost, je krajevnost pri izrazu utopija povsem izgubljena. Pravzaprav je zanikana. Poezije kot kraja ni in hkrati je bolj kraj kot kdajkoli. Morda bi lahko predlagali drugo ime za utopijo, ta bi bila horizont, če naj nadaljujem metaforičnost iz neba. Na horizontu, naj nadaljujem metaforo, ni nič drugega kot veter. »Veter je del procesa,« se glasi citat iz Ezre Pounda, ki uvaja pesem O vetru in o obstoju brezčasja. Otvoritveni citati se sicer pojavljajo samo v začetnih pesmih, pri tem pa se kažejo kot dialog z drugimi »stvaritelji«. V tej pesmi v prozi Dobnik odpira vsa temeljna vprašanja poezije, naj to pojmujemo kot umetnost v splošnem: sanje, presežno, čas, neulovljivost: »[P]išem v neverjetno snovni realnosti, a tisto, kar je na drugi strani črk, za besedami in pisavo, je transcendenčno, in zagotovo lahko trdim, da je izum potovanj po brezčasnem prostorju že dolgo znan.« V tem je videti vodilo Dobnikovega pisanja: uporaba konkretnih podob, krajev, in hkrati stremljenje k upovedovanju presežnega: »Vse drugo je neoprijemljivo in spi v toplem hlevu.« V Metafizičnem pesniku na primer naniza: »Videl je / razkosano pesem kosov, slišal neslišno, lirično je iskal / zavetja v senci petja.« Ivan Dobnik je mojster izčiščevanja poezije vsega odvečnega. Čiste poezije, kakor jo je opisal Stéphane Mallarmé: polna je nakazovanj, a nikoli ničesar zares ne definira. Tovrstno pisanje pa postavlja več vprašanj kakor odgovorov; kar prava umetnost tudi terja od njenega stvaritelja. Pri Dobniku je bistveno vztrajanje v njej, biti zavezan poeziji. »Z mesta se ne premaknem. / Tukaj branim pokrajino.« Ali kot je zapisal v že omenjenem (programskem?) uvodniku: »Neuničljivo vztraja. Ali preprosto: diha, piše. Vendar onstran cirkuških akrobacij literarnega turizma in biznisa literarnih nagrad.« V tem smislu lahko beremo tudi njegove osti zoper napredek: »Regulacija reke je opustošila poezijo. Varna, divja, neznana in nikogaršnja obrobja so bila prve žrtve napredka.« A vendar ohranja vero v pesnika: »Ampak novorojene besede kljubujejo in skupaj z njimi njihov stvaritelj.« Zbirko Nostalgija, utopija odlikuje oblikovna raznovrstnost in pripomore k branju nekakšne rekapitulacije Dobnikovega ustvarjanja. Distihi, pesmi v prozi, sonet, pogosto poigravanje z zamiki verzov … bralca obdajo s tisočerimi podobami. Tako kot so kritiki pisali poprej, da je namreč Dobnikova poezija tudi ujemanje med zvenom in pomenom, je tudi ujemanje med obliko in pomenom. Na eni strani poezija izrekanja, magičnih izrekov, na drugi strani pa poezija dolgih povedi. Zbirka se bere, kot potovanje, morda celo kot dopotovanje. Koliko novega lahko zavezanost takšni poezija ponudi? Veliko, menim. Ali lahko preseneti? Dopotovanje, a kam? Skoz vse plameni spomin. Spomin ali Mnemozine, ki je mati poezije: »Kar gledam, je v naslednjih sekundah že spominjanje.« In ogenj, ki je in bo razsvetljeval in grel. »Zvečer sem si na jasi v notranjosti zanetil ogenj iz naplavljenega lesa in obstoj poezije se mi je razodeval ravno takrat v povsem drugačnih oblikah kot tedaj, toliko let pozneje.« Zadnjo pesem zbirke Nostalgija, utopija uvaja verz, ki nas zasuka na začetek oziroma dokončno odpravi linearnost časa: »Bil sem star pet let in v mraku gozda ob kmetiji sem / zakuril ogenj.« In nadalje v pesmi beremo: »In ta šokantno krhki onstran / še kar traja, sveti ogenj skozi desetletja […] Greješ me ti, klobčič volnenih sanj, zvesta divjina / iz vesolja pred začetkom«. O lovljenju vetra je pričal že Pridigar v Bibliji. Vse je poezija, naj zaključim. Vera vanjo je neomajna in trdna. Plameneča.

Sunt cifre pe care nici starul mondial Beyoncé, care are 56 de milioane de urmăritori nu le atinge, scrie agenția slovacă de știri Sita. ”Are abonați falși de prin Bangladesh sau Sri Lanka, mii de aprecieri cumpărate, postări redistribuite de boți controlați de Inteligența Artificială, pentru a manipula oamenii. Nachdem wir in Folge 354 über den Kreuzzug von Varna gesprochen haben, springen wir in dieser Folge gut 100 Jahre weiter und betrachten die Auseinandersetzung zwischen den Osmanen und der Heiligen Liga. Nachdem sich die Osmanen in der ersten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts unaufhaltsam ausgebreitet hatten, kam es in der zweiten Hälfte zum Konflikt mit Venedig, Spanien und vielen anderen, die sich durch die Expansion der Osmanen bedroht fühlten. Die so entstandene Heilige Liga versuchte 1571, das Osmanische Reich in zwei Teile zu spalten. HISTORIA UNIVERSALIS wird von uns komplett allein produziert.
