Virginie Tesnière est une avocate entreprenante qui allie fraîcheur et créativité.Après avoir hésité entre une carrière dans l'industrie musicale, elle plonge dans le monde du droit et obtient le concours d'avocat DEA Propriété littéraire et artistique de Pierre Yves Gauthier.Elle devient avocate et rejoint le cabinet Kiejman & MarembertElle devient collaboratrice pendant 7 ans dans le cabinet Kiejman & Marembert avocats où elle exerce dans le droit d'auteur et de la presse. Une expérience formidable mais exigeante, où elle apprend le métier aux côtés de deux grands avocats, Georges Kiejman et Thierry Marembert.Elle décide de se spécialiser dans le droit de la presse après le procès des caricatures de Mahomet qui la passionne. Accrochée par sa fibre artistique, en parallèle de sa collaboration, elle double des voix de dessins animés au cinéma et réalise un album de musique où elle rencontre un grand succès après 200 000 exemplaires vendus et des concerts à l'Olympia. Elle part ensuite travailler dans le cabinet de Christophe Bigot, que nous avons accueilli au micro d'Advocat ! Dans le cabinet Bauer Bigot & Associés elle pousse sa spécialisation en droit de la presse. Néanmoins, elle aura du mal à y développer sa clientèle pour des questions de conflits d'intérêts et d'un secteur restreint. Elle considère que c'est difficile de développer sa clientèle lorsque l'on est collaborateur. Suite à la rencontre avec des productrices de podcast, elle s'intéresse à ce nouveau média et développe son activité. Force de travail, elle s'associe au cabinet au bout de 7 ans en même temps qu'Emilie Sudre, son “acolyte”.Elle fonde son cabinet : le cabinet NouvellesToujours face à cette même problématique de conflits d'intérêts, Virginie décide de fonder son propre cabinet avec Emilie Sudre & Lorraine Gay : le cabinet Nouvelles. Un cabinet entièrement dédié au droit de la presse et de la communication et au droit d'auteur. Elle raconte comment elles ont fondé leur cabinet, l'accompagnement dont elles ont bénéficié, comment elles s'organisent. Last week I said I wouldn't make a new episode if my daughter was born. I had no idea it would be so fast! Well, she was born on July 18, 2019 at 10:42pm in Barnett, Missouri. She, in my ever so humble opinion, is absolutely perfect. Kelli labored for 23 hours, pushing for about 1.5 hours of that. My wife is nothing short of a superstar, and I'm so proud of her. The birth was pretty hairy. Kelli was losing a lot of blood and Tesni had secondary apnia--couldn't breathe right. This week has been pretty crazy for us. Kelli has been getting used to only sleeping for 1.5 hour stretches and still finding time to take care of herself somewhere in-between nursing. Her mom and dad have been living out of our house to help with our transition into full time parenting. They've been taking the night shifts whenever Tesni is asleep. Recently crowned British National Squash Champion Tesni Evans joined me today on the podcast on her off day at the Windy City Open. We battled through early tech issues, and it what well worth it.
