Z novim letom se uveljavljajo prve vsebinske novosti pokojninske reforme, povezane predvsem z bolj dostojnimi pokojninami za najbolj ranljive. A tokrat se osredotočamo na vzdržni del pokojninske zakonodaje ter vsebine, ki so bile v tokratni reformi spregledane. Zanima nas, kako dolgo bo zdaj veljaven sistem ob demografskih trendih še vzdržen. Podobno se sprašujejo v Nemčiji, kjer imajo hude težave pri prenovi pokojninskega sistema. Čeprav so številke na prvi pogled suhoparne, je zgodba, ki jo razkrivajo, skrb vzbujajoča. Pokojnine sicer bodo, vprašanje pa je, kolikšna bo njihova realna vrednost. Velike razlike v znanju med učenci iz različnih držav poglabljajo učni načrti; naši učenci se pri matematiki nekatere vsebine učijo v višjih razredih kot najbolj uspešni učenci, sodelujoči v raziskavi, v drugih državah. Ali bo prenovljen učni načrt za matematiko za osnovno šolo premaknil računanje z ulomki in decimalnimi števili v nižji razred? Zakaj imajo matematiko dečki raje kot deklice? Zakaj se naši učenci v šoli počutijo slabše kot njihovi vrstniki iz drugih držav? O tem v tokratnem Studiu ob 17-ih. Na ministrstvu za zdravje so dopoldne iskali rešitve, da bi v ljubljanskem Kliničnem centru preprečili napovedan odhod štirih kirurgov. Če bi odšli, bi to po mnenju podpredsednice Zdravniške zbornice Barbare Škrlj močno oslabilo kakovost obravnave bolnikov, saj bo število specialistov, še posebej v izrednih primerih, prenizko. Tudi zato odhajajočim kirurgom v UKC ponujajo nekatere rešitve, da bi si premislili. Preostali poudarki oddaje: Evropska unija sprejela zavezo za znatno zmanjšanje toplogrednih izpustov do leta 2040. Vse več je sončnih elektrarn po strehah tudi pri nas in obeti, da utegnemo do sredine stoletja večji del potrebne energije pridobivati iz sonca, dobivajo vse resnejše temelje. Danes je večina sončnih celic na trgu narejena iz silicija, prihajajo pa večinoma s Kitajske. A enoslojne silicijeve sončne celice iz marsikaterega razloga niso optimalna tehnologija in raziskave se vse bolj usmerjajo v dvoslojne, t. i. tandemske sončne celice. Za razvoj inovativne tandemske sončne celice je izr. prof. dr. Marko Jošt iz Laboratorija za fotovoltaiko in optoelektroniko na Fakulteti za elektrotehniko Univerze v Ljubljani letos prejel Zoisovo nagrado. Državni zbor je potrdil proračuna za prihodnji dve leti, ki prinašata rekordne izdatke. Kot pojasnjuje finančni minister Klemen Boštjančič, je tako med drugim zaradi nujnih strukturnih reform, pa tudi zaradi globalnih negotovosti, tako trgovinskih kot političnih. Kljub temu so obrambnemu ministrstvu odvzeli nekaj sredstev. Druge teme: - Evropska komisija predlaga okrepitev vlaganj v prometno infrastrukturo za izboljšanje vojaške mobilnosti; za to bo potrebnih približno 100 milijard evrov - Nemčija zavrnila plačilo odškodnin za genocid v Namibiji na začetku 20-ega stoletja, ki ga je sicer priznala pred štirimi leti - Policija prijela požigalca starega mlina v Beltincih; v preteklosti so ga že obravnavali zaradi kaznivih dejanj

Državni zbor je z 59-imi glasovi poslank in poslancev Svobode, SD-ja, SDS-a in Nove Slovenije nekaj po polnoči potrdil zakon o nujnih ukrepih za zagotavljanje javne varnosti. Proti so bili samostojni poslanec Miha Kordiš in nepovezani poslanci Anžeta Logarja, ki so opozorili, da je vlada zakon sprejela brez podpore pravne stroke. Zakon med drugim prinaša več pooblastil policiji, zaostruje kaznovalno politiko ter posega v del socialnih pravic in brezplačne pravne pomoči. V razpravi je bilo slišati tudi, da utegne zakon zaradi nekaterih spornih ukrepov doleteti ustavna presoja, kar bi lahko oslabilo želene učinke pri zagotavljanju varnosti in boju proti kriminalu. V oddaji tudi: - Varnostni svet Združenih narodov potrdil ameriški mirovni načrt za Gazo, ki predvideva napotitev mednarodnih sil in možnost samostojne palestinske države. - Gasilci in pripadniki Civilne zaščite dosegli 150 Bricev, ki so po plazovih in poplavah ostali brez prometnih povezav. - Ljubljanski mestni svet odobril podražitev parkiranja, ki bo plačljivo tudi ponoči.
