Actor, singer & extremely talented dancer Zac Efron soared and flied into our hearts while starring in High School Musical, but this doesn't mean we can overlook his many misadventures. Welcome to the Cancelled courtroom Mr Efron, there are no shirts allowed in here.Remember the last time we saw Zac in a courtroom, he made us want to find a man like serial killer Ted Bundy? We'll also address the time he engineered an indoor fountain accident with a team of researchers. And who could forget the condom saga? Can Zac be let off free of charge because his eyes are too dreamy? We (reluctantly) beg to differ!Plus, more of your lazy gewl stories. Brian and Shelly continue to count down the ten best films of 2023 with their choice for number 6 and 5
Step into the narrative ring with us and special guest Adi Aishua as we explore the emotional landscape of "The Iron Claw," a film that brings the tumultuous tale of the Von Erich wrestling dynasty to life. Zac Efron's portrayal of family and fame dives deep into the Von Erich clan's journey, marked by patriarch Fritz's heavy hand and the brothers' search for validation amidst the chaos of the ring. Listen closely as we dissect the actors' stunning physical metamorphoses and the poignant depiction of brotherhood that resonates far beyond the wrestling arena, a testament to the film's powerful storytelling. The conversation takes an unexpected turn when we geek out over a He-Man cameo, playfully considering digital wig makeovers and the alchemy behind the iconic transformation. We waltz through the film's soundtrack, lose ourselves in the era's beats, and unpack how music underscores the emotional pulls of the narrative. With Adi Aishua's fresh perspectives and our shared enthusiasm, we peel back the layers of the on-screen relationships that amplify the drama and tug at the heartstrings.Wrapping up the episode, we venture into the broader realm of cinematic storytelling, drawing parallels with Brendan Fraser's return to the spotlight in "The Whale" and the artful direction of movies that leave a lasting impact. Our musings wander into the daring territory of "Epstein the Musical" before grounding back to the reflections on the Von Erich saga, offering listeners a hearty mix of history, tragedy, and the riveting complexities of family legacy. Tune in for a discussion that's as gripping as the wrestling moves it depicts, and stay for the unexpected detours that make this episode truly one-of-a-kind. Support the show

Released at the tail end of #2023 this movie left nobody feeling that special #christmas #joy. What it did do however, was get people talking. This movie discusses some really heavy subjects including #death and #suicide. At its core is a moving story of breaking #generationalcurses wrapped up in a #wrestling movie. There are lessons to be learned here, about parents living vicariously through their children. Putting pressure on your #children to be what you want them to be and not what they want to be and the kind of emotional damage possible when pushing too hard. This movie is not hard to watch, in fact it is tastefully handled and artfully done, inviting the viewer to be a fly on the wall during very difficult situations. But those situations may just be too real, and too hard for some viewers to sit through. As always, we want to hear from you! So click the link and leave your review and comments about #Theironclaw for us.https://linktr.ee/theaveragereviewsUse the same link if you are thinking of starting your own podcast, or just want to streamline what you are already doing, and you'll get 30% off your first month of any zencastr paid plan.

Thanks to BetterHelp for sponsoring this week's episode!Solomonster reviews The Iron Claw movie about the triumph and tragedy of the Von Erich wrestling family. The story is mainly focused on Kevin Von Erich (played by Zac Efron), the lone surviving brother, and his love for his siblings, and it doesn't sugarcoat its portrayal of Fritz Von Erich, the patriarch of the family. Even still, the director was easier on Fritz than he could've been. He is by no means a hero in this story.***Follow Solomonster on Twitter for news and opinion:http://www.twitter.com/solomonsterSubscribe to the Solomonster Sounds Off on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/user/TheSolomonster?sub_confirmation=1Become a Solomonster Sounds Off Channel Member:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9jcg7mk93fGNqWPMfl_Aig/joinThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5582990/advertisement

We discuss his potential Academy Award niomination, the heaving boxing event that is The Day of Reckoning (#JoshuaWallin, #WilderParker) and more.
Brandon, Sean, and Stoney take a (spoiler-filled) deep dive into the gut-wrenching story of the fabled Von Erich wrestling family in their review of The Iron Claw, in theaters 12/22/23.
The Iron Claw is based on the real-life story of the Von Erich family, considered royalty in the business of professional wrestling. Led by their taskmaster father, Fritz von Erich, they ruled the Texas-based wrestling scene throughout the '80s with a combination of athletic physical ability, charisma, and showmanship. Zac Efron stars as the eldest son Kevin Von Erich, with The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White as Kerry Von Erich, joined by Harris Dickinson as David, and Stanley Simons as Mike, with each sibling feeling the pressure of Fritz's demands to be the best in such a competitive world where being tough was everything. To show even the slightest weakness meant you could lose it all; the fame, the glory, the money, it could all go away in an instant. This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/3555108/advertisement
