Mientras que el director llamó a su película un “viaje de empatía”, muchos otros le han acusado de lo contrario por la forma visceral en la que retrata la obesidad en la pantalla, para mi la problemática principal de la historia no es la obesidad. Aquí vemos claramente de influye en la forma de como nos relacionamos con los alimentos, el impacto que tiene la salud emocional en nuestra alimentación. El director de la película, Darren Aronofsky, asegura que su misión con esta obra fue presentar un ser humano con todos sus defectos y virtudes. Y sí, creo no deja de ser una película, donde nos cuentan una historia, en este caso la historia de Charlie en los últimos días de su vida.
