Iris takes the wheel to deliver our discussion on Season 4 of Invincible as soon as humanly possible, because by god we are BACK baby. Our discussion on Season 3 last year left us pleased with the Invincible War and arrival of Conquest arcs, and we certainly had plenty of praise for the dynamics between Mark/Debbie/Oliver plus Eve, but also somewhat hesitant for what this series could deliver that felt novel and exciting like the magic of Season 1. But now that Nolan has returned to Earth for good, and that we've finally received some long-awaited lore on the Viltrumite Empire, we're getting back to what made Invincible so special; and we're introducing the Oliver/Nolan dynamic, and we get to have Optimus Prime at the forefront of the resistance and Thranduil command every scene he's in purely by aura farming. It's safe to say that the gang has completely renewed our hype for Season 5 and that we had an absolute blast talking about these last 8 episodes, so we hope you have a blast listening to us. Content warning: SPOILERS, strong language.
Episode 294 of Tom Clark's 6M Podcast is a look at Invincible Season 4. Tom Clark and Phil Lindsey break down the latest season of the Prime Video animated series, focusing on the aftermath of the Invincible War and the escalation of the Viltrumite conflict. They examine Mark Grayson's continued evolution as a hero, Nolan's return to Earth, and the introduction of Grand Regent Thragg as the looming threat behind the expanding intergalactic war. They also discuss how the season shifts deeper into Viltrumite lore, the growing role of Oliver, and how the Coalition of Planets sets the stage for a larger conflict that moves closer to Earth. Does Season 4 successfully push Invincible into its endgame, or does the expanding scope start to stretch the series too far? Dive into that and a lot more! Clayface is stepping into full horror territory, and Frank and Squeaks break down why that could be exactly what DC needs. The episode also covers a packed week of reboots and adaptations, including FernGully, The Phantom, Django/Zorro, RoboCop, Battlefield, and Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. The back half shifts into a spoiler-heavy Invincible Season 4 review, with a big focus on Thragg, Mark's impossible choices, and the emotional weight of Atom Eve's storyline. Frank and Squeaks also dig into Xbox's future, Game Pass changes, the return of stronger Xbox branding, and whether the next console can make fans excited again. Timestamps and Topics 00:00 Avengers: Endgame 7-Year Anniversary and Favorite Character Arcs 03:05 Capital Creative Showcase and Convention Updates 04:02 Clayface Trailer Discussion and DC Horror Potential 08:27 FernGully, The Phantom, Django/Zorro, and RoboCop Reboots 16:35 Battlefield Movie and Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced 25:28 Invincible Season 4 Spoiler Review 40:01 Xbox's Future, Game Pass Changes, Project Helix, and Brand Identity 59:21 Network Updates, Recommendations, and Closing Key Takeaways Frank and Squeaks look back at Avengers: Endgame seven years later, highlighting Steve Rogers, Nebula, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the idea of a Ronin video game. The Clayface trailer sparked a strong reaction because it feels more like a horror movie than a standard DC or Batman-adjacent story. Reboots dominate the news cycle, with mixed reactions to FernGully, The Phantom, RoboCop, Django/Zorro, and Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. The Battlefield movie conversation centers on how it can separate itself from Call of Duty and other military films by leaning into large-scale, multi-front battles. The Invincible Season 4 review praises Thragg as a major villain, explores Mark's moral limits, and gives the season a 9 out of 10 from both hosts. The Xbox discussion focuses on Game Pass pricing, exclusives, Project Helix, and whether Xbox can rebuild its identity as a console brand. Memorable Quotes "Give me a Ronin video game. I think that'd be dope." "This needs to be treated as a full-on horror movie." "Why would McDonald's lose the Golden Arches? You guys are doing that right now." "Mark's weakness is the fact that he's a good person." "I'm excited to be a fanboy again." This episode of All Pop, No Culture covers three major TV conversations: DTF, Invincible Season 4, and The Boys. Kevin and Andrew start with a full spoiler discussion of DTF, focusing on its ending, its portrayal of depression and loneliness, David Harbour's standout performance, and the ways the show turns a mystery into something much more personal and tragic. They then jump into Invincible Season 4, especially Episode 7, which they argue may be the best episode the show has done so far. They talk Thragg, Nolan, Mark, the destruction of Viltrum, the voice cast, and why the series has become one of the strongest animated shows running right now. The episode wraps with a check-in on The Boys, including A-Train's arc, Homelander's unraveling, who may survive the ending, and why the show feels like it's headed toward the exact kind of bloodbath it has always promised.

With the Imperial occupation escalating, Rook Kast warns Maul that the situation is getting worse, while Looti Vario begins questioning whether staying with the Shadow Collective is safer than running. Meanwhile, Brander Lawson finds himself caught between Imperial pressure, local chaos, and Maul's growing influence, as the arrival of the Inquisitors turns Janix into a hunting ground. Rating Out of 10 Whatever Darryl Thinks Darryl: 7.9/10 Brian: DNW Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (Apple TV) Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Season 2, Episode 8 Title: Separate Ways Air date: April 17, 2026 Director: Gandja Monteiro Writer: Mariko Tamaki Summary: Titan X makes landfall in Australia, forcing Monarch into another high-stakes monster crisis as Shaw attempts to lure Godzilla into a direct showdown. While the Titans dominate the battlefield, Isabel uses the chaos as cover for a secret operation, because apparently one giant monster fight was not enough drama for the week. The episode also pushes Cate closer to the truth about Titan X, including the discovery that the creature may not be the threat everyone assumed. Out of 5 Finally Godzilla! Brian: 3.8/5 Darry: 3.2/5 Daredevil: Born Again (Disney Plus) Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2, Episode 6 Title: Requiem Air date: April 21, 2026 Director: Angela Barnes Writers: Devon Kliger and Jesse Wigutow Summary: “Requiem” keeps the pressure on Hell's Kitchen as Fisk's grip starts to show cracks and Matt tries to make an impossible move by seeking a truce with Wilson Fisk. Around them, everyone seems to be making destructive choices: Mr. Charles makes his move, Daniel confronts BB, Powell's violence escalates, Heather snaps, and Karen nearly makes a devastating decision. The episode also brings Jessica Jones back into the mix, raising the stakes for Matt's growing resistance against Fisk and the AVTF. Meanwhile, The Boys investigate Fort Harmony in search of V1, an early and extremely dangerous version of Compound V. The mission gets weird fast when they encounter Quinn, a scientist fused into the base itself, whose powers trigger violent aggression and infighting. Soldier Boy and Homelander clash again, Annie searches for answers about her father, Ryan walks away from Butcher, and the episode ends with Vought pushing Homelander further into cult-leader territory. Mark reluctantly agrees, hoping to buy time. Meanwhile, Eve reveals she had an abortion while Mark was gone, Nolan and Debbie leave for Telescria to care for Oliver, and Allen is left with a terrifying choice after learning about a perfected Scourge Virus that could wipe out Viltrumites, and possibly humanity too.
