"New Life from Three Trees" takes us on a journey from the Tree in the Garden, where sin first entered the world, to the Tree on Calvary, where Jesus paid the price for our redemption, and finally to the Tree in Your Eye, where transformation begins within us. Though brokenness and generational pain can be passed down, Jesus offers a fresh start. Just like the imperfect people God used throughout Scripture, your story isn't over; with Him, you can step into freedom, healing, and hope.

These are the final days before Jesus' crucifixion. While the tension and drama build, we will slow down to consider the palm tree, the olive tree, and the tree of the Cross. Three very different trees with highly significant meanings. Join us as we unpack how this connects with faith, sacrifice, and redemption... and how all of this anticipates the empty tomb. We chat about sisterly relationships, the city of Corinth, chickens, and the creative spark in all of us. Patrons will hear about why she went back to school several years ago and got a few advanced degrees. The Sisters of Corinth by Angela Hunt"Angela Hunt takes her craft to new heights--and depths--as she fully immerses us in the lives and struggles of first-century followers of Yeshua."--Tamera Alexander, bestselling author on The Woman from LydiaWhen the new provincial governor arrives in Corinth, the esteemed Chief Magistrate Narkis Ligus, father to Mariana and Prima, is delighted. He sees a golden opportunity to propel himself to greater power and fortune by uniting his and the governor's households through the marriage of one of his beautiful unwed daughters to the governor's firstborn son. Yet complications quickly arise in Narkis's own family. Mariana, his stepdaughter, holds steadfast faith in Yeshua, rendering her hesitant to marry a man devoted to the Roman gods, despite Narkis's urging. On the other hand, Prima, his daughter by birth, yearns for a life of wealth and status and is willing to go to great lengths to secure a marriage that fulfills her desires--even if it means betraying Mariana to do so.Get The Sisters of Corinth by Angela Hunt.Christy-Award winner Angela Hunt writes for readers who expect the unexpected in novels. With over five million copies of her books sold worldwide, she is the best-selling author of more than 150 works ranging from picture books (The Tale of Three Trees) to non-fiction books, to novels. Now that her two children are grown, Angie and her husband live in Florida with Very Big Dogs (a direct result of watching Turner and Hooch and Sandlot too many times). This affinity for mastiffs has not been without its rewards–one of their dogs was featured on Live with Regis and Kelly as the second-largest canine in America. Their dog received this dubious honor after an all-expenses-paid trip to Manhattan for the dog and the Hunts, complete with VIP air travel and a stretch limo in which they toured New York City.Afterward, the dog gave out pawtographs at the airport.Angela admits to being fascinated by animals, medicine, psychology, unexplained phenomena, chickens, and “just about everything” except sports. Books, she says, have always shaped her life— in the fifth grade she learned how to flirt from reading Gone with the Wind. Also in 2006, Angela completed her Master of Biblical Studies in Theology degree. She completed her doctorate in biblical studies in 2008 and her Th.D. in 2015. When she's not home reading or writing, Angie often travels to teach writing workshops at schools and writers' conferences. And to talk about her pets, of course. She is also an avid photographer, using her photos to help find homes for animals at local rescues.
Often when we walk through a forest amongst the trees, we can feel the Creator's presence. Each tree tells a story. Three trees in particular can reveal to us the story of God's love, mercy, and grace—which is the story of Easter. Fr. Eric Nicolai preached this meditation to a group of priests at the Manoir de Beaujeu, near Montreal on February 27, 2024. In one of his letters, St. Paul reflects his deep solicitude and his joy at seeing and experiencing the growth of the faith in the Ephesians. It moves him to thanksgiving and prayer. Eph 1, 15-20: For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, (...) The Lord chose to reveal himself to us through a story --a story that actively shapes us the more we study and understand it. But it's not only the gospel narratives that we see in scripture that can shape us --all stories have a profound ability to cast us in their image. The question is, what kind of stories are we listening to? As moms, why should we be particularly thoughtful about the stories that are defining our family culture? Not in a way that is fearful, but in a way that helps us to glory in the best story ever told?As we head into the Christmas season, what are some particularly sweet stories and books we might share with our families? What traditions, old and new, might we enjoy together that will help us to reflect on the mystery of what God has done for us?Listen in for an uplifting conversation with Leah Nicklaus, a homeschooling mama of five sweet and wild boys. Her family lives in Iowa where they are involved in their local church and community. Adam creates a hypnosis session to help a client change a long-standing belief of not being good enough or worthy to be in a long-term relationship. As a child, they were told that men would use them or leave them so it led to a self-fulfilling prophecy of short-term relationships. This session was designed to change the beliefs of the past using a metaphor of trees and seeds and introduce a new belief that they are worthy and deserving of a long-term relationship that would be desirable and fulfilling for them. [17:15] What to Look For When Buying Red Meat · Labels on meat products can be misleading and is often a selling tactic. · Consumers should be aware of the terms used, such as "natural," "no hormones," "no antibiotics," "grass-fed," "vegetarian fed," etc. · Most cows are fed inflammatory foods like grains, which can lead to health problems for the cows and the consumers who eat their meat. · Some cows are even fed candy bars to fatten them up for more profit. · High-quality meat is important for better nutrition and anti-inflammatory properties. · Grass-fed and finished is the best option, as it means the cow has eaten grass from start to finish of its life. [22:05] The Worst Artificial Sweeteners vs The Best Sugar Replacements Some inflammatory artificial sweeteners are sucralose and brown rice syrup. At the same time, some recommended sugar replacements are Coconut Sugar (less refined, lower glycemic index), Pure Maple Syrup, Non-GMO Monkfruit, Dates (and date syrup), and Raw Honey. · Brown rice syrup may be perceived as healthy but is often found in products with other inflammatory ingredients. · The recommended sugar replacements are less refined and often have better nutritional value than artificial sweeteners. · Stevia is disliked due to the harsh chemicals used to extract it, which can cause gut disruption for some people. · Monk fruit is a better alternative, as it has a zero glycemic index and does not cause the same issues as stevia. · Many people have noticed positive digestion and overall health changes after eliminating stevia from their diets. [28:50] Is Oatmeal Actually Healthy For You? · Oats can be considered in the gray area of healthy foods due to their pros and cons. · Most oats are sprayed with glyphosate, a pesticide that promotes inflammation and can harm health. · Oats are high in phytic acid, an anti-nutrient that prevents the body from absorbing necessary nutrients. · Too much phytic acid can lead to gut issues, inflammation, arthritis, and brain fog. · Organic and sprouted oats are better options for consuming oats. [47:55] The Top 5 Most Commonly Asked Questions About Food Labels · Consume high-quality protein from grass-fed beef, mackerel, and fish instead of relying on protein bars. Read the labels on coffee creamers carefully and choose cleaner options like Three Trees almond milk, which contains only water and almonds, cashews, or walnuts. Eating real, whole foods to improve health and well-being. Notice how certain foods make you feel and adjust your diet accordingly. Liposomal vitamin C is better absorbed into the body and can be more effective than traditional vitamin C supplements. Many people avoid bread while dieting, but it's not necessary. However, keep in mind to avoid grains and pseudo-grains. AND MUCH MORE!
