Tony Peralta, is a contemporary artist and designer known for his fusion of pop art aesthetics, cultural iconography, and vibrant hues. While living in a home dominated by Dominican culture, Peralta developed a deep appreciation for American art and influences. His admiration for Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Frida Kahlo, and Hip-Hop culture inspired him to creatively explore his identity. Using screen printing, painting, and mixed media techniques, Peralta has paid homage to his heritage, showcased the stigma of Blackness in Dominican identity, and tipped his hat to the golden age of Hip-Hop. Pel Peltier Pel is a NYC based creative, steeped in all kinds of art, from his graf and mural work, commercial collaborations with brands, collectibles and toys, etc. He's been instrumental as a designer at several fashion brands for the last twenty years and has a store/gallery space online that is a home for his myriad art expressions. Pablo Power Born in a log cabin in rural Maryland, but spent his formative years in the seamy, creative crucible of Miami. Pablo's work continues to be inspired by the years he spent there, writing and painting public murals, to introduce something colorful, crafted, and considerate into locations that may otherwise be forgotten, overlooked, or avoided. He continues to work in a combination of media, to build narratives that engage people to search for common ground. Joining us is Andrew Vahradian-co founder of Mutiny Distribution Mutiny Distribution is the world's first alcohol distributor to focus exclusively on the mead category, both session (draft) and traditional styles. Not only is mead the oldest known fermented beverage, it also happens to be the broadest and diverse. It differs from other categories in that the principal provenance of alcohol comes from honey. He'll join us to talk about mead and do a mead tasting with a flight of mead for our guests. We'll talk about what they're doing, the mead category and mead regaining popularity.

Tony Peralta is the mastermind behind the Peralta Project – a brand that celebrates both Dominican and New York culture. His styles are beloved by Latinos of all ethnicities who see a chance to rep their cultura boldly (and in a dope fashion). In this episode Tony talks about his come-up, what the entrepreneurial space is like as a man of color, therapy, and how he's infused self-care into his life. Speaking with Tony, we got that NY flavor – no BS and completely unapologetic – just like his designs. If you haven't checked out his work, visit PeraltaProject.com to get familiar and fall in love.
