See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This is an incredible tape of Led Zeppelin rehearsing at Headley Grange in preparation of their upcoming Physical Graffiti double album. From November 1973 through May 1974 the band convened at Headley Grange, the site of many a legendary recording session (Zep IV, Houses, etc) to work on their new album. The sessions were fruitful and the band was totally dialed in and focused. I play two incredible songs which haven't appeared on any album, but are incredibly badass. Along with the two almost jams, I play an early (and in my opinion superior) iteration of what would become In The Light, called Take Me Home. All of these songs are performed live in the rehearsal space of Headley Grange, with no overdubs or studio magic, and it is unreal.

MUSIC & ART COLLIDE Frankie Vinci's Rock 'n' Roll journey has led him to create the Pop Art he's so passionate about today. These raw-colorful Pop Art / Mixed Media pieces are reflective of his years as a troubadour and his Rock 'n' Roll experiences performing in the iconic clubs and concert halls from NYC to LA , all of this has become part of his tapestry as a Pop Artist. Frankie is a Multi-Platinum songwriter / recording artist and has shared the stage and or worked in the recording studio alongside iconic names such as : Aerosmith, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Meat Loaf, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tim McGraw, Roberta Flack, Dino Danelli & Gene Cornish (Rascals), Wally Bryson (Raspberries), Ricky Byrd (Joan Jett, Roger Daltrey), Robert Lamm (Chicago), Phil Ramone, Eddie Kramer, etc... Frankie's also had a successful career as a composer / producer in NYC advertising. He composed / produced national jingles for some of the biggest brand names internationally. A pinnacle of his career was composing The Super Bowl Theme for CBS that also aired on the "NFL Game of the week" for 10 years. Frankie's Pop Art is inspired by music, fashion, film and the vintage billboards that have been distressed by weather and time. The multi-layered backstage passes, concert posters covering the dark alleys and backstage walls in Rock clubs like CBGB's, all add fire to Frankie's creativity. Frankie's artful eye sees the beauty in subway graffiti, random paint drips, metal rust, torn paper, combined with detailed painting and carefully composed layouts. His flair for color combinations and the placement of iconic images over his canvases is creating a buzz in the art community. With a name like Frankie Leonardo Vinci what else would you expect but a modern day renaissance man capturing his life and times on canvas.Mark your calendars for Frankie's opening on 7/13/2023 , 6-9pm at D Colabella Fine Art Gallery , 446 Main Street , Ridgefield, Ct. , Check out my new pieces, including “FIRE” , a tribute to my favorite guitarist Jimi Hendrix .

“Maloval na vlaky” v Japonsku, Rusku, Indii, Brazílii, New Yorku, Turecku, Johannesburgu, v Peru a desiatkach ďalších miest sveta.

___ Invitati: • Marius Cristea – owner si creator al conceptelor IQ ads si SMARK • Bogdan Costin – director creatie Saatchi & Saatchi + The Geeks (ex Tempo, Grafitti, 23 Communication, Geometry si Vitrina Advertising) __ Muzica din acest episod: "I am AI" - AI Composed Music by AIVA - https://youtu.be/Emidxpkyk6o "MetallicAI": I made a bot write a Metallica song - https://youtu.be/zTG1Nb1hND0 "Post Malone and Kid Laroi" - https://www.tiktok.com/@louyah/video/7106192295518620970 "AI/DC": I made a bot write an AC/DC song - https://youtu.be/vpEVsDN84Hc "AI creates "New" Nirvana Song" - Drowned In The Sun - https://youtu.be/qf6eOSJgN0Y

In this week's episode, Alice interviews three researchers - Teresa Ó Brádaigh Bean, Lydia Cole, and Azadeh Sobout - who are involved in the Art of Peace project based at the Universities of Manchester and Durham. Led by Oliver Richmond, Stephanie Kappler, and Birte Vogel, this project explores arts-based approaches to peace-making and the role that grassroots-led art projects can play in helping communities process and recover from conflict. On the podcast, we discussed the many different roles that different forms of artistic practice can play in post-conflict communities, from bringing people together and building bridges between past and present to rights-based activism and peaceful revolution. Lydia, Azadeh and Teresa were all keen to stress that participatory arts programmes can help people 'build better futures', not just process past experiences. Along the way, we discussed the false binary between war and peace that often distorts and simplifies how we visualise both. We talked about the limitations of top-down, colonial-style peace-making initiatives, and the merits of grassroots peace-building from below and attention to micropolitics. We also looked at lots of different examples of 'artivism' - art that embodies and enables activism. Our conversation got us thinking about entrenched habits of visualising 'peace' and the role that different art forms can play in re-visualising both peace and conflict and in visualising new/different/better futures.Alongside her research, Teresa works for the charity In Place of War, which supports artists and cultural organisations in places of conflict all around the world. Her recent work has focused particularly on creative enterprise, community arts education and arts-based social movements in Colombia, and she is co-editor of a volume coming out soon called ‘The Art of Making Something from Nothing', which looks at the social impact of arts projects across the Global South.Lydia is closely connected to the Conflict Textiles project which we talked about on the podcast last week, and she has curated a range of exhibitions in connection with this (called ‘Stitched Voices' and ‘Threads, War and Conflict'), bringing feminist international relations theory and critical peace and conflict studies together. She is passionate about creative and participatory approaches to peace and conflict studies, and her work for the Art of Peace project has focused particularly on grassroots arts projects in Bosnia and HerzegovinaAzadeh has been leading a research project on the intersection of arts and peace-building in Lebanon, focused particularly on refugee communities from Syria and internally displaced people from within Lebanon itself. She has a particular interest in post-war geographies and narratives of displacement; in how different affected communities present their histories and identities through different artistic media; and how different forms of art can create avenues for peace activism, by helping people work through the complexities of solidarity, responsibility and ethics. We hope you enjoy the episode. You can find out more about the Art of Peace project on their website, and more information about In Place of War is available here. This week on The Get Down we are joined by the Adelaide O.G graffiti writer turned world renowned artist that is Jimmy C aka James Cochran. Jimmy made his bones back in the early 90's honing his skills illegally in the cold dark streets & train yards of Adelaide, South Australia. Many would have dismissed Jimmy as nothing but a vandal and hooligan, but he is living proof that if you put your mind to it and trust the process, you can go on to make a living doing what you truly love. As a young fella, I marveled at the gems Jimmy would treat us with on his late night missions all over the city and as an adult I am equally impressed by the amazing art he develops today. This is a true South Australian success story of following your dreams and a nice little reminder to not be too harsh on your kids if you catch them coming home with spray paint on their hands. Thanks for your time Jimmy. I really appreciate it mate! Enjoy. BeatsDisclaimer: Jimmy may or may not have ACTUALLY done illegal grafitti. This week on The Get Down we are joined by a good mate and triple threat talent, Mnops. Skilled in the arts of rapping, graffiti and tattooing, Mnops has a very humble outlook on his abilities. On top of his talents, Mnops is a great father and has a great sense of humour and takes life as it comes whilst giving next to zero fucks about anything that is not close to his heart. I have had many a good yarn with Mnops in his tattoo chair and could talk to him forever and not get bored. I am very happy to have caught him during his busy schedule to share his story with all of you. Thanks Mnops. I appreciate it bro.Disclaimer: Several audio issues were had during this episode, so be patient and tune your zoom ears. Peace.
