Today, Tuesday December 1 - James 4 - We are at war! If we woke up this morning and turned on the morning news or looked at the headline of the local paper and we heard or read these words, "We Are At War!" We would immediately ask the question, "Who are we at war with?" We would want to know who is attacking us, who wants to destroy us? My friend, if you clearly read the headline in the Bible this morning, in James 4, you would be informed that we are at war spiritually! And we have three major enemies, the flesh, the world and the devil. Romans 8:1-5 tells us that we have a carnal, fleshly nature that we are born with, and if we let it control our lives, we will not please God! "....So those who are in the flesh, cannot please God." (Romans 8:5-8) James 4:4 also tells us that we cannot be a friend of the world and the friend of God at the same time! To be a friend of the world system, (which is basically the religion of humanism, worship of one's self and believing that man, and so called science, not God, has the answers to life's problems), makes us the enemy of God. And behind all this, of course, is the devil himself! James tells us to "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Please today, take time to put on the armor of God, (Ephesians 6:12-13), and take up "the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" (Ephesians 6:17) and know our victory over these three enemies has already been won in and by Jesus Christ on His cross and by His resurrection! Jesus Christ asked this question, not because he doesn't know whom he was, but he wanted to sample the opinion of the people. Few Points Every Believer Needs To Know. 1. WE ARE AT WAR. Many Christians don't know what they're faced with, that is why they feel there's no need for the stress. 2. YOU ARE IN THE ENEMY'S CAMP The bible records it that, the devil is the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4) That simply explains why we face what we are faced with. It is better to be on the offensive than to be on the defensive HUMAN BEINGS ARE NOT THE ENEMY. Ephesians 6:12 Jesus told Peter, get the behind me Satan. He wasn't really speaking to Peter, but Satan. This means human beings are just objects or tools being used per time. You neighbor, grandmother, grandfather, family member, a colleague isn't the enemy, the devil is. Matthew 16:17 and Matthew 16:23 Jesus was able to discern who was using Peter per time. Peter was used by God in verse 17, and in verse 23, Satan has taken over. We are meant to discern the acts of the devil. 4. THE DEVIL IS STRATEGIC. MATTHEW 16:18 The gates in the olden days is not a physical gate, but a place where strategist and decision-makers gather to plan and strategize. We invited Batiin to get on this joint because he studied Tantra along side us so it was only the right thing to do. 5.
