Today's Headlines: A Delaware court ruled that companies can vote in municipal elections in the beach town of Fenwick Island — not just business owners, but the companies themselves as entities — and given that two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware, that's either a quirky local ordinance or the most efficient corporate takeover of democracy ever attempted. Joe Biden is suing the Trump administration to block the DOJ from releasing audio recordings of his conversations with his ghostwriter, which the DOJ is planning to drop on June 15th purely for the humiliation factor, since the investigation was closed and no charges were ever filed. Trump threatened Oman — the Gulf state that has been acting as the diplomatic channel between the US and Iran — during a Cabinet meeting, saying they'd better "behave or we'll blow em up." On the reflecting pool saga, a National Park Service analysis found that Trump's no-bid pool contractor — his favorite pool guy, does all his pools — submitted a contract with an $850,000 overcharge above the typical profit margin, and it turns out the contractor can't even seal the gaps between the  concrete slabs, which is a fairly foundational part of the job. The Trump family's attack on the freedom of speech rights of private citizens continues, as today, we learned that Trump's FCC plans to challenge ABC station licenses amid Melania's feud with Jimmy Kimmel. For the administration that was apparently going to “make comedy legal again,” it seems that only applies to people they dislike. Donald Trump said he'd remember companies that decline to seek refunds on duties paid after the Supreme Court struck down a large swath of his tariffs. In February, the Supreme Court ruled against Trump's use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose so-called “reciprocal” tariffs on imports from nearly every country. Episode 5276: Trump Threatens Mass Annihilation In Iran; Miraculous Rescue Mission For US Soldiers

President Trump issued some pretty ominous threats on Easter Sunday. In one Truth Social post, the president called on the "crazy bastards" to open the "f---ing" Strait of Hormuz. He later told ABC News that he was going to "blow up the whole country" at 8pm Tuesday. His words prompted one prominent senator to call on Trump's cabinet to remove him from office. President Trump announced on social media that the U.S. military was able to successfully rescue that missing F-15 crew member from the “treacherous mountains of Iran.” Trump identified the airman as a highly respected colonel who was found injured, but safe.
