Power & Politics hears from Ontario Minister of Natural Resources Mike Harris on those threats. Plus, U.S. President Donald Trump used a prime time speech to cast doubt on the U.S electoral system and outline a conspiracy ranging from Chinese interference to the deep state. P&P has a reality check on those claims and the Reporter Roundtable weighs in.

For review:1. United Nations Ambassador Mike Walz on Sunday said Cuba's regime is “a national security threat,” as the Trump administration keeps its sights on the Caribbean island nation.2. Yemen's internationally recognized government said it struck Sanaa airport Monday, as the Houthis blamed the government's Saudi backers for the attack, in the biggest escalation in years between authorities and the Iran-backed rebels.3. US President Donald Trump said Monday he would probably soon order a strike on the Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site, as he declared American military forces would hit Iran hard over the coming two days. The President's remarks came as the US military confirmed launching strikes on Iran for a third consecutive night.4. Israel engaged in a multi-year effort to recruit and re-install as leader Iran's former hardline president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, The New York Times reported Monday.5. The U.S. will resume its blockade of Iranian ports, coasts and ships, according to a Monday announcement from U.S. Central Command, signaling an end to the 60-day ceasefire between Iran and Washington.6. US forces used unmanned surface vessels (USVs) for the first time in combat operations — striking a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran on Sunday, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).
At the height of the U.S. war with Iran, NATO allies declined to allow the U.S. to use air bases within their territory to launch attacks on Iran, they refused to let U.S. bombers overfly their territory, and they refused to commit their forces to helping the U.S. patrol the beleaguered Strait of Hormuz. In response, President Trump said he was considering withdrawing the United States from the 75-year-old defense alliance – something he has been talking about for years. Monday on the "Sound of Ideas," we bring you another installment of the series "Talking Foreign Policy," which is produced in conjunction with Case Western Reserve University. In this episode, a panel of experts discusses the role NATO currently plays as a global defense alliance, as conflicts continue in Iran as well as between Russia and Ukraine. Guests: - Michael Scharf, President, American Branch of the International Law Association; Former Dean, Case Western Reserve University School of Law - John Bellinger, Legal Advisor, National Security Council & U.S. Department of State - Sandy Hodgkinson, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense; Retired, U.S. Navy Captain - Paul Williams, Ph.D., President, Public International Law & Policy Group - Milena Sterio, Distinguished University Professor, Cleveland State University College of Law; Managing Director, Public International Law & Policy Group
Lindsey Graham died Saturday night. He was 71. His office says a brief and sudden illness. The 911 dispatch audio says chest pains, a locked door, and CPR in progress. So this week I'm doing the obituary nobody on cable will touch: his real record on Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Gaza, the Confederate flag, Stand Your Ground, and voting rights. Plus the Laura Loomer poisoning conspiracy theories, Nancy Mace already eyeing his Senate seat, and how South Carolina's August 11 special primary works. And Mitch McConnell still hasn't been seen in almost a month. No photos, no diagnosis, just a copy-pasted statement and a bunch of senators swearing they talked to him on the phone. I get into the June 14 cardiac arrest dispatch audio, the CNN stretcher video, and the Kentucky special election law the GOP really doesn't want triggered. Graham's death got confirmed in hours. McConnell's health is a state secret. Same party. Ask yourself why. Also in this one: Trump posts that 1,000 missiles are locked and loaded to hit Iran if anyone assassinates him, which is not a real thing, because if he dies JD Vance is president and the missiles are his. The DOJ subpoenas four New York Times reporters over the Air Force One story. The $400 million Qatari jet still can't stop a missile. Trump fires the Democrats on the Election Assistance Commission right before the midterms, and his own former lawyer Ty Cobb calls it a deliberate plan. Also, I brought the Gaza death toll numbers for everyone who keeps sliding into my replies with "what about Israel."------------------------Keywords: Lindsey Graham dead, Lindsey Graham death, Lindsey Graham dies at 71, Lindsey Graham cause of death, Lindsey Graham 911 call, Lindsey Graham cardiac arrest, Lindsey Graham heart attack, was Lindsey Graham poisoned, Lindsey Graham conspiracy, Lindsey Graham replacement, South Carolina Senate special election, Nancy Mace Senate, Henry McMaster appointment, Annie Andrews, Mitch McConnell health, Mitch McConnell cover-up, is Mitch McConnell alive, McConnell cardiac arrest, Kentucky special election, Andy Beshear, Tim Burchett, Trump Iran war, Trump 1000 missiles, Trump Truth Social Iran, Khamenei funeral, Ayatollah Khamenei death, JD Vance president, dead man's switch, 25th Amendment, Strait of Hormuz closed, Iran ceasefire, Trump assassination plot, New York Times subpoena, press freedom, Fox News, Qatari jet Air Force One, Election Assistance Commission, Ty Cobb Trump warning, Trump health, Trump physical Walter Reed, White House ballroom cost, East Wing demolition, Gaza death toll, Max Planck Gaza study, Gaza genocide, Israel Hamas war casualties, political podcast, political comedy podcast, We Saw the Devil podcastBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/we-saw-the-devil-unfiltered-political-analysis--4433638/support.Website: http://www.wesawthedevil.comPatreon: http://www.patreon.com/wesawthedevilRobin's Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/robin_wstdTwitter: http://www.twitter.com/WeSawtheDevilInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/wesawthedevilpodcast.TikTok: tiktok.com/@wesawthedevilpolitics

The weekend headlines lied again. The “peace deal” or “memorandum of understanding” with Iran was always goyslop. Strait of Hormuz “wide open”? Fake. JD Vance and the Trump administration “breaking from Israel”? Even bigger fake. By the end of the weekend the Strait was closed again and the Iranians stormed out of talks in Switzerland after Trump threatened to assassinate their diplomats. The AI surveillance state isn't coming — it's already here, and they're using your tax dollars to build it at hyper speed. Trump came back into office and immediately unleashed Big Tech instead of reining it in. Hope Beryl-Green joins Stew Peters 6/23 to share her story of survival, healing, and advocacy for victims who have suffered in silence.

BREAKING: Trump Threatens Invasion to Cripple Iran.
So the kids are so unruly in Lee's Summit that business and city leaders have decided to end a 40 year tradition because..... why? This is weak, feckless and so unlike Lee's Summit. Grow a backbone. The situation in Iran, many have thought, would always be wrapped up by this weekend as a personal goal of President Trump. Now he's threatening stronger action against them with more military strikes. Oh, brother. The Netherlands takes over Riverside for the World Cup and there's something about the "Oranje" that I kinda like. I think I will root for them. We have an update on the price of Madison Square Garden for Travis and Taylor's wedding. Wouldn't it just be awesome if Patrick Mahomes stepped up the microphone and blasted his alma mater, Texas Tech, for their outrageous handling of a quarterback with a huge gambling problem? I'll explain how. A fan from Germany is going viral for showing some of things we take for granted in America and making them sound great. Charles Barkley makes a comment about a performer's boobs, a record marlin could be worth millions and Hunter Biden is proud to have been a crack addict in our Final Final.
President Trump says the U.S. will resume attacks on Iran amid stalled negotiations, inflation reaches a three-year high, Bill Gates appears before the House Oversight Committee to answer questions about Jeffrey Epstein, and we preview tonight's Congressional Baseball Game. Today's Headlines: A Delaware court ruled that companies can vote in municipal elections in the beach town of Fenwick Island — not just business owners, but the companies themselves as entities — and given that two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware, that's either a quirky local ordinance or the most efficient corporate takeover of democracy ever attempted. Joe Biden is suing the Trump administration to block the DOJ from releasing audio recordings of his conversations with his ghostwriter, which the DOJ is planning to drop on June 15th purely for the humiliation factor, since the investigation was closed and no charges were ever filed. Trump threatened Oman — the Gulf state that has been acting as the diplomatic channel between the US and Iran — during a Cabinet meeting, saying they'd better "behave or we'll blow em up." On the reflecting pool saga, a National Park Service analysis found that Trump's no-bid pool contractor — his favorite pool guy, does all his pools — submitted a contract with an $850,000 overcharge above the typical profit margin, and it turns out the contractor can't even seal the gaps between the concrete slabs, which is a fairly foundational part of the job.
