DOGE Devalued Dollar Will Crash the DOW – Martin Armstrong Armstrong has deep experience in the currency markets. In 1985, Armstrong was called in by the Reagan Administration about cutting the value of the dollar to spark trade. Armstrong warned if you cut the dollar, you will have a big crash within two years. What happened? Two years later, the stock market crashed more than 22% in one day in the infamous 1987 stock market crash. It is still the record for a one-day crash in percentage terms. Armstrong says, “In the end, they said we think foreign exchange had something to do with the crash. That was the best I could get out of them. They are not going to stand up and say, oh gee, we caused it (the crash) by lowering the dollar by 40%.” Armstrong is going to write President Trump a letter warning him NOT to force the US dollar lower. Day in, day out I hear stories from mothers all over the world about just how difficult they find it to balance their own needs, desires, creative expressions, dreams with the reality of motherhood. If you've been listening to this podcast and my work for a while, this is of no surprise to you. It raises questions such as - how do we hold a sense of self without support? When today's day and age requires so much of us? I recently watched a documentary called Who Does She Think She Is? and was extremely moved. I highly encourage you to watch the documentary for yourself, which supports what we talk about in this conversation. Listen as Pamela and I talk about: Art, storytelling, and our culture. How the dialogue and stories of mothers is lacking because it feels almost impossible to pursue your desires and be the mother you want to be. Different ways that artists are making the most of their time, doing it in between, alongside and changing our relationship instead of starting at two in the morning. The layers of economy, culture and within ourselves that need to be addressed, alongside the importance of coming together as a community. The impact of prioritising ourselves can have on marriages, relationships and how that changes mothers availability in the home. For me, this film was a stark reminder of where we are and how far we've got to go. But also lit up a fiery warrior spirit in me that we have to do this even in the smallest way. Please watch, reflect and discuss this powerful film. You can find all the details below: https://www.whodoesshethinksheis.net/buy_rent_the_film. Further to this particular film, Pamela Tanner Boll is the Founder/CEO of Mystic Artists Film Productions. She directed/produced A Small Good Thing; Who Does She Think She Is?; and her current project, To Which We Belong, which highlights farmers and ranchers leaving behind conventional practices and adopting regenerative ones that are improving the health of our soil and sea and saving our planet. There needs to be a change in the way mothers are valued and seen in our society. We are here to spread the whispers of Matrescence together. Gravity - The Digital Agency Power Up : Weekly shows for digital marketing agency owners.
A lot of people think they have a personal brand. But I like to think of a personal brand as a beacon reaching out into the world. For this brand to shine - it needs energy. For most of us this fuel is content. This week I'm excited to welcome Stephanie Llewellyn to the show. Stephanie is the host of the ‘Who does she think she is' podcast and if that were not amazing enough - she's also my personal TikTok spirit animal with 79 thousand followers… and I need to know what's up with that. About Stephanie I have always believed in the power of yes, doing things before you're ready and leaning into the hard parts of life. That belief has served me well, even when things didn't work out - the lessons learned were worth the risks taken. All of the difficult roads I've traveled have led me here and now I help small business owners promote and grow their businesses through Personal Branding and Content Marketing. Supporting my clients through creating their authentic Marketing Content, Strategy, and abundant mindset as they grow their business is my passion. My name is Stephanie Llewellyn, I'm the Creator of the “Cool Mom CEO” brand, Host of, "Who Does She Think She Is" Podcast and a Content Marketing Coach. I'm a multi-passionate, creative-minded single mom and college drop-out who took the scenic route to success. I have been a writer, creator, and avid sharer of the unfiltered side of life for most of my life, but it was always just a hobby that I would share on social media, I never dreamed that hobby would turn into a business. Helping entrepreneurs find their voice, create aligned messaging, and content as a brand to promote and ultimately grow their business is EVERYTHING. Seeing the shifts happen in their mindset, creativity and business is something I will never get tired of being a part of. Creating content for your Marketing doesn't have to be something you dread, overthink and then put off forever. The way you show up in your business doesn't have to look like anyone else, it doesn't have to sound a certain way, and if you are someone who struggles with where to even begin - I've got you. Messy action is my love language and showing other business owners how to take steps in the right direction, is what I do best! I am so excited you're here with me. I have loved recording these solo episodes and am hoping they add value, meaning, and impact in your life, and remind you that you are definitely not alone in overcoming inner struggles and challenges on the journey of being your You-est You. If you're listening to this episode, my hunch is that you might have also struggled with self-bullying and being crappy to yourself. I share very openly and honestly my own challenges with healing past hurts and upsetting experiences that led me down a dark tunnel of attacking and bullying myself. I know that what happens on the inside, in our inner world, is always reflected in our outer world. If we want less upset and drama, we must do the inner work of healing and connecting with the parts of us that are still hurt. I share my own feel to heal process and that of the Inner Bonding workbook so that you can start feeling more grounded, healed, and aligned within yourself. I hope it resonates at the deepest level. Why We Bully Ourselves So often, we have buried trauma. Whether that is trauma with a big or little T, it doesn't matter. The trauma that happened in our childhood where we didn't properly heal because we didn't possess the emotional intelligence to cope with the situation is carried into our adulthood. It's not our fault. We just weren't taught how to deal with our emotions in a healthy way. Those same children grow up to be adults who don't understand how to digest our emotions properly. Instead of dealing with them, we stuff them or abandon ourselves, disconnecting from what needs healing. What we have learned is that this leads to physical illness and addiction. Instead of processing our feelings, we make ourselves sick or create unhealthy relationships with things like food, spending, or alcohol. And when we can't process our emotions but feel threatened, upset, or overwhelmed, we attack ourselves—faulting ourselves for not being more capable, not good enough. Stop Beating Yourself Up In this episode, I talk about how to go within and have a ritual for tuning into the hurt and pain and sitting with it so you can learn to stop beating yourself up. When fear sneaks up, making us feel lesser than, it often triggers a response from childhood when we felt not good enough or compared to things that made us feel lesser than. Judging ourselves for falling short was something we trained ourselves to do from a young age. But it is essential to feel it to heal it and doing the necessary inner work. So sitting with these feelings as they come up in the present day and taking a hard look at where you are trying to deny your emotions is essential. You need to tap into that aspect of yourself and honor that part to adapt your mindset. And when that is done, invite your Higher Power in to be with you. To give you strength, comfort and healing. Gratitude I love pulling cards from my You-est You deck and today's card was gratitude. This was perfect as I discussed how feeling gratitude for the lesson of the situation is part of the healing, how feeling gratitude for the experience and learning from the self-bullying so that you can move forward towards forgiveness and being more kind to yourself. Final Thoughts It is so important to stop beating yourself up. No one likes a bully, so it is crucial to do the work to end the self-bullying. If you wouldn't do it to someone else, it isn't right to do it to yourself. I touch more on self-bullying and imposter syndrome in the book I am currently working on, Who Does She Think She Is. I think you are going to love it. If you are interested in the You-est You deck, you can get the printed box of cards or pdf printable version at juliereisler.com/shop. We discuss Laurie Penny's article, "Who Does She Think She Is?" https://longreads.com/2018/03/28/who-does-she-think-she-is/ and how the world just hates women when they do pretty much anything besides sitting quietly and looking pretty.
Pamela Tanner Boll, an artist, filmmaker, writer, and activist, is the Director of Who Does She Think She Is? a film about five artists who are mothers. She is the Co-Executive Producer of Academy Award-winning Born into Brothels, and the Executive Producer of eight documentaries. Most recently, she completed A Small Good Thing, a feature-length documentary that follows six people who focus on alternative concepts of happiness and success. From a social work student Tim Durrin to yoga teacher Mark Gerow to the Salinetti family and their farm, these “everyday people” find personal satisfaction via their link to nature, chosen professions, and interconnectedness with others, foregoing conventional definitions. A Small Good Thing also explores how it’s important to live in a more meaningful way not just here in one community in the US — traveling to Rwanda, audiences see how an organization working to provide lasting agricultural solutions to chronic childhood malnutrition in the developing world has created a community at Gardens for Health International where living a life centered around compassion, community and connection has improved the health and well-being of their families.
Steve Cooper talks with actor Rose Abdoo. Rose's career began in Chicago, where she performed at various improvisational theaters, including the Improv Institute and four years with The Second City and she went on to develop her own one-woman shows, Who Does She Think She Is? and Get to the Part About Me. Her movie credits include My Best Freind's Wedding, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Good Night and Good Luck, US Marshals and Bad Teacher. She is also a familiar face on TV where she was the co-star of Johnny Bago, has had recurring roles on Gilmore Girls, That's So Raven and Bunheads and has been a guest star on Monk, CSI:NY, Malcolm in the Middle, Two Broke Girls, Psych, Without a Trace and Happy Endings to name a few.
This week Amy's guest host is Patty Ayers, the "silent partner" who produces The Mojo Mom Podcast. Patty is also the talented web designer behind MojoMom.com. Now she has created a new line of work as a virtual assistant, which allows her the flexibility to reinvent herself as a newly-hatched "empty nest" Mom. Patty now lives and works much of the time from Tulum, Mexico. You can learn more about her "working adventure" on her blog. Then in our guest segment, Mojo Mom interviews film director Pamela Tanner Boll. Pamela's new film, Who Does She Think She Is? explores the courage required to combine motherhood and art. The film wants to highlight the importance of women as artists, the importance of women's work as mothers, and the essential humanity contained in the artistic impulse. You can view the film's trailer at www.WhoDoesSheThinkSheIs.net
