And the attorney who represented the cult leader Jack "Zithlord" Lasota in criminal charges that Lasota would fake his death in 2022 to avoid those charges!!The Zithlord's attorney has some interest'n friends...some interest'n "Best Friends"! Notably, Process Church characters such as John Waters (infamous film director) & Boyd Rice!That same attorney has some interest'n political backers, such as National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter & other "Best Friends" in the Los Angeles region. One "Best Friend" that is at least tertiarily connected to the same agency as another political backer of that same attorney - was recently sentenced in unrelated charges in Ohio, described as a "serial killer of dogs".That "serial killer of dogs" was a poster child for the Process Church/"Best Friends Animal Society" in their pitbull lobby. Not only was his "no kill" animal shelters in both Ohio and later in California funded by "Best Friends" and his pitbulls were routinely provided by "Best Friends"/Process - even whilst ol boy was on the run from charges in Ohio for merc'n dogs - his "Best Friends" set him up with a new pitbull operation in Southern California! That is until the US Marshal's sting operation in LA in 2021 to arrest Steffan Baldwin/Finkelstein for Ohio charges, upon Baldwin's arrival back in Ohio for "serial killer of dogs" charges - his fingerprints were input into the national database. Baldwin's prints would me a match for the "#1 suspect" in a cold case disappearance of Maura Murray in New Hampshire in 2004. Murray just happened to be Baldwin/Finkelstein's exgirlfriend from West Point Academy, allegedly last seeing her in 2001.Anyhow, folks of the interwebs thank for join'n me to get a lil GCD! Through it all, Jeff has steadfastly maintained his innocence. Over the many years since trial, thousands of pages of government reports, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, that prove the existence of outside assailants, have been obtained. In fact, not only do these documents show Jeff's claim of outside assailants to be true, they also show how the prosecution deliberately set out to suppress evidence supporting these claims before, during, and after his trial. The MacDonald case has served as an example of malfeasance in the investigation of the FBI Crime Lab's misconduct, and the case has been featured in numerous congressional hearings and in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe and The New Republic. In January, 2006, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals panel of three unanimously agreed that the affidavit of Jimmy Britt, a respected former US Marshal, was sufficient grounds to propel a rare fourth appeal (successive habeas petition) forward for review to the District Court in Raleigh, North Carolina. Jimmy Britt died in October, 2008. In November, 2008, the District Judge denied relief. The defense will appeal to the 4th Circuit. The MacDonald case is one of the most enduring and haunting legal cases of our time, and a torturous example of injustice and wrongful conviction. It continues to endure and weigh heavily on the public consciousness because the right conclusion has never been has never been issued in a court of law- that Jeff MacDonald is an innocent man and must be released. Donald Trump announced to his cabinet late last week that things are going to be different moving forward, and this warning was meant especially for Elon Musk. Instead, he told reporters the other day that the REAL problem was that "globalists" have been manipulating the market to make him look bad. "Globalists" have become the go-to boogeyman for Republicans, which is ironic because that's what they all are, so Trump may actually be correct!Elon Musk, along with Republicans in Washington, D.C., have been repeatedly attacking federal judges for ruling against the Trump administration, often calling for the judges to be removed and even disbarred for "attacking" the administration. Those false claims have real world consequences, and it has now been revealed that many of the judges that have ruled on Trump cases have been assigned security details by US Marshals due to the insane number of death threats they are now receiving. The Trump administration continues to set new records, and not in a good way. The administration has now been sued over 100 times since taking office on January 20th, and that comes out to an average of THREE new lawsuits PER DAY. This Day in Legal History: 25th Amendment to the US Constitution On February 10, 1967, the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, establishing clear procedures for presidential succession and addressing concerns about vacancies in the executive branch. The amendment was a response to historical ambiguities in presidential succession, particularly after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. Prior to its ratification, the Constitution provided little guidance on what to do if a president became incapacitated. The amendment formally allowed the vice president to assume the presidency if the president died, resigned, or was removed from office. It also established a process for filling a vacant vice presidency, a critical change since several vice presidents had died or resigned without a designated replacement mechanism. Additionally, it provided a procedure for a president to temporarily transfer power to the vice president, such as in cases of medical procedures. The amendment's fourth section allowed for the removal of a president deemed unable to discharge the duties of the office, though this provision has never been invoked. The first use of the amendment came in 1973 when Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned, and President Nixon appointed Gerald Ford as his replacement. The amendment was invoked again in 1974 when Nixon resigned, making Ford the first unelected president in U.S. history. Since then, the temporary transfer of power provision has been used several times for medical reasons, including during surgeries for Presidents Reagan, George W. Bush, and Biden. The 25th Amendment remains a critical safeguard, ensuring stability and continuity in the executive branch.A federal judge has temporarily blocked Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency from accessing certain Treasury Department data and ordered the destruction of information already obtained. The ruling follows a lawsuit filed by 19 Democratic-led states against President Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, alleging that allowing Musk's team access to personal financial data violates federal law. The judge found the states likely to succeed on the merits and cited risks of data exposure and hacking. In February 2023, Tracii Hutsona was sentenced to 51 months in Federal Prison for her crimes against Joumana Kidd, and given until April 13th to voluntarily turn herself in to the US Marshals. She ended up turning herself in on March 20th, about a month early, to the prison camp at FCI Phoenix. Jim highlighted a vulnerability in YubiKey encryption libraries that allows key cloning with an oscilloscope, while a former US Marshal reminded us that Zelle is marketed specifically for transfers between friends and family. Joe's story is on Loria Stern, a small bakery owner who fell victim to a counterfeit check scam after receiving a $7,500 payment for a large cupcake order that was later halved, resulting in her bank withdrawing the funds. Dave's story follows the scams targeting grieving individuals on Facebook, where cybercriminals use fake funeral live stream links or donation requests to steal money and credit card details. Our catch of the day comes from listener Anne, who shares a phishing email sent to a friend. The email emphasized the importance of thorough testing in the software development lifecycle and came with a suspicious PDF attachment, likely containing a malicious link. Anne hopes the campaign has zero success. The Escape From The Lauderdale County Detention Center In 2022 Involving Convict Casey White AND Corrections Officer Vicky White [Part 2]. Inmate 38 year old Casey White and corrections officer Vicky White began a romantic relationship that dated back to 2020.  When Casey was brought back to the county jail after being sent to a maximum security prison after being found in possession of a shank, he cozied up to Vicky (again!) and in two months' time, the two were fugitives, on the run, as Vicky was able to successfully help Casey escape from the jail.  The two took investigators on an 11 manhunt which ended two states away in a car crash and a single shot being fired. Nadia Vitel spends a couple of days moving personal items into an apartment in Manhattan's Kips Bay, and she is captured on security cameras going in and out several times on March 10. Vitel spends two days on Long Island then on March 12 she heads back to the Kips Bay Apartment.  Vitel's son, Michael Medvedev, talks with her on Tuesday the 12th, but after the 12th, she isn't answering calls or returning texts.  After 2 days of no contact, Medvedev calls police to do a welfare check on his 52-year-old mother.  Waiting for the police, Medvedev convinces the building super to let him into the apartment.  Walking through the apartment, nothing seems amiss, except his mother is not in the apartment.  As they are walking out, Medvedev notices a duffel bag in a closet, seems out a bit out of place.   The investigation into the death of Nadia Vitel starts with her injuries and the surveillance cameras in the building. Vitel suffered blunt force trauma to the head, multiple facial fractures, a brain blee, and two broken ribs. Her body is found on Thursday March 14th, Investigators look back and find surveillance video showing Vital as she brings her personal items into the building on the 10th. Vital leaves the building just after 11 am on March 10th, and 19-year-old Halley Tejada and 18-year-old Kensly Alston, are seen trying to enter the building around 2 pm the 10th.  1 hour later Tejada and Alston are on camera in the building and seen on elevator surveillance camera entering Nadia Vitel's apartment. NYPD police chief Joseph Kenny says Halley Tejada and Kensly Alston were squating in Nadia Vitel's apartment. When Vitel returned to the apartment March 12, she confronted the squaters who proceeded to allegedly beat her to death, and cram her body into a duffel bag. Tejada and Alston allegedly through Vitel's personal effects and more in the trash, then left the building in her Lexus SUV.  Using Vitel's bank cards, Tejada and Alston charge their way to Pennsylvania where they are involved in a traffic accident on March 13. Alston gives police a fake name, slowing the process of clearing the accident. Once Vitel's body is found on the 14th, her Lexus is reported stolen, and the US Marshal's are able to track Tejada and Alston to Lower Paxton Towship Pennsylvania where they are placed in custody.
