caddy, donna, cadillac, second act, cady, missed hearing, love getting to know, kicks, hear your voice, looking forward to catching, loyalty, grew up listening, love the new show, beyond excited, glad you are back, tuesday and thursday, good to hear, enjoyed the podcast, added bonus, welcome back.
Listeners of Cadillac Jack - My Second Act that love the show mention:The Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast is a delightful and entertaining show that brings a sense of nostalgia to listeners who grew up listening to Cadillac Jack on Atlanta radio. The addition of Cadillac's wife, Donna, adds an extra layer of charm and chemistry to the show. As someone who grew up in Alpharetta and now resides in Cumming, I find it particularly enjoyable to hear them talk about local places and share behind-the-scenes stories of the music and radio industry.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the relatable and down-to-earth nature of Cadillac Jack and Donna. They have a knack for discussing topics that many people can relate to, sharing their views, interests, and opinions with honesty and humor. Their conversations often result in laugh-out-loud moments that make each episode highly enjoyable.
Another great aspect of this podcast is the chemistry between Cadillac Jack and Donna. They truly come across as long-lost friends who are rediscovering their connection through the show. Their banter, storytelling, and genuine affection for each other create an inviting atmosphere that makes listeners feel like they are part of their inner circle.
The worst aspect of this podcast is its occasional lack of structure or focus. While the conversational format allows for spontaneity and authenticity, there are times when it feels like the discussions could benefit from more direction or organization. Some listeners might prefer a more structured approach or segments to ensure a consistent flow throughout each episode.
In conclusion, The Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast is a highly entertaining show that brings back fond memories for longtime fans while welcoming new listeners into their world. With relatable conversations, humorous anecdotes, and the delightful dynamic between Cadillac Jack and Donna, it's a must-listen for anyone seeking lighthearted entertainment that feels like catching up with old friends.
But returning soon! Thank you for your continued support! Listen for Cadillac Jack now on in the afternoons on The Bear 92.5, via the app for your ios or Android device.
The discussion begins with how the term "conspiracy theories" is used to minimize opinion and make it more difficult to find the truth. Then Cadillac Jack reveals some very personal frightening details about his life, and you may find it hard to believe, or hear. But it's very real. Hold on.
On this episode, Cadillac and Donna talk about Sara Evans and her new podcast discussing her marriage troubles for the first time. Also, Brian Kelly, formerly of Florida Georgia Line, has written a song which can be best decribed as a "middle finger" to his former partner Tyler Hubbard. Plus, the Baltimore bridge incident, and some interesting theories.
An update on Riley Strain. And as a new season begins, changes are in the wind. Plus, Donna forgot to wear her underwear, again.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! Your favorite song is on. Drop your drink and hit the dancefloor. You know when someone thinks they recognize you, but there is no way they could, would or should? It's annoying. And you have better things to do then help them figure that out! Well, Donna certainly did while working her store in Alabama last week. Related, she also had to ride in an elevator with a man who was…not happy with his wife. Just do better man, ok? Also, Donna talks about an article she read on a new recently detailing a new trend, especially with moms, that involves microdosing mushrooms. It's a brave new world, folks. Lastly, a fun segment detailing “Drop Your Drink Songs”. You know what we are talking about: the songs you hear when out at a bar or club that as SOON as you hear the first few notes drive you to immediately find your way to the dance floor. All that and more on today's episode! Obviously, we want to know what your “drop your drink song” is. Let us know! Text or call 770-464-6024.
This is a dynamic episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. That means it'll be different depending on who is listing to the show. Just kidding of course, but it is something a few national businesses are trying out. Caddy and Donna Jack touch on the topic over a biggie bag in the first segment of the show. From there Caddy walks all over Donna (or so says one listener) as usual into the next part of the episode. They do also touch on the tragedy that occurred in Athens by the campus of University of Georgia. It's a short story that ends with important message. Let us know what you think. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act Podcast! Pro tip: don't get in cars with strangers. As you all know by now, Donna has been crushing it on the rowing machine. She may have gone a little overboard recently though, and she's got a story that Caddy is hearing for the first time. It's a doozy, so buckle up. Also, Caddy has a throwback to the Hooters 500. Caddy grew up in Hickory, NC, considered by many to be the birthplace of racing. He talks NASCAR, Atlanta Motor Speedway and the history of country music radio shows and their partnership with and promotion of racing. Lastly, Donna introduces a segment about Jelly Roll, his 15-year-old daughter and his wife Bunny's podcast that is both devastating and powerful. We love out pod peeps! Drop us a line, especially if we haven't heard from you in a while. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Here we go again on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. How seriously do you take student athletics? For some parents, it's a lot. For Donna and Caddy, it's a different story. We kick off the episode with a reminder that civility and support should come first. We jump over Donna's notes for Cadillac Jack on how we can improve. Why? Because we only have an hour here with you today. So the convo moves on to some country music headlines. There's a new name on the top of the charts and everyone should bow down. (That's a hint.) And program directors just aren't the same as they used to be. Is that a good thing? Let us know. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today's show, Luke Combs does an oopsie and Caddy discovers Donna's canned vegetables. But first, Donna and Caddy describe a recent date night to one of their favorites – Heavenly Foot Massage. It used to be a little bit sketch, but they've really turned it into a swanky place. A late night steak and a foot rub down. Anything better? Also, Caddy discovers something in the pantry that Donna swears she'd never buy. Find out what and how she tries to explain it away. Also, Donna talks about the phenomenon that is hookup culture. And, it's not just running rampant with the young folk. It's prevalent with the old folk, too. What is wrong with people? Go enjoy a nice dinner and a movie and touch grass. We've also got some Beyonce and Luke Combs for you. All that and much, much more on today's jam packed episode! Thanks for stopping by. What's your favorite date night spot? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
We're in turbo mode here at Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Let's run this one wet and hang it up dry. No beds here, are your ears OK? Let us know. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! Let's recap the Usher halftime show – I mean the Super Bowl. First though, we have some updates on our dear Roscoe. He is recouping nicely from his $5,200 surgery (!). However, he is a sneaky little devil and we need to keep an eye on him…as you loyal listeners already know. Drumroll please…the numbers are in for the Super Bowl and we now know that it was the most watched program in the history of television! Not in the history of sports – all of television. We in the biz like to call this the Swifty effect. We touch on the top commercials and you know Donna has some things to say about that steamy halftime show. Lastly, it is becoming clear that the younger generation is losing faith in the institution of marriage. Why is that, and is it a big deal? All that and more on today's jam packed episode. What was your favorite Super Bowl commercial? Let us know! Text or call 770-464-6024.
Today we celebrate the life, times and music of Toby Keith. We cut the intro bed to make room for the dedication the man deserved. Hear stories from Cadillac and Donna Jack as they remember Big Dog Daddy. You'll be hearing most of them for the first time, too, because Caddy forgot to hit record for the original interview. Not the first time we've hired a forensic investigator. You get it. There's also a quick touch on the Grammy's and your favorite lavellas. So thanks Toby - this one's for you. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today's show Donna gets into another wrestling match with an elderly. But first, why can't Caddy and Donna get on the same page? Movies, walks with dog, smoking cigarettes, etc. etc. Caddy has a list of the things (thing) that he is willing to do. Also, what a Grammy's show! Wow. Luke Combs and Tracey Chapman stole the show with their duet of Fast Car, but the whole thing was fantastic. Joni Mitchell – wow. And Billy Joel has a new song?! However…you know it's all about T-Swift and we're here for it. Poor Darius Rucker though. February is not his month. Donna lays out the timeline for his recent arrest. It's confusing. Lastly, Donna recaps another episode with an elderly involving pig tails, blankets and stolen universal remotes. All that and more on today's jam packed episode! Chiefs vs. 49ers Sunday. Who you got?! Text or call 770-464-6024.
We're approaching ski season here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Take a listen to the episode and then show us your salad. Hopefully it looks better than ours. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! We've got Alan Jackson, Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift news for you today. What more do you need? But first, Alex Murdaugh was in the news again this week when he made a motion for a new trial. Apparently, the County Clerk may have not been able to keep her mouth shut throughout the trial and one of the jurors says that she may have influenced their decision to convict. However, the judge denied his motion. Can you imagine if we had to sit through another trial?! The news sure does make Caddy miss his unpaid jury consultant days. He wouldn't have put up with that garbage from the County Clerk. Also, Taylor Swift: is she going to make it to Vegas in time for her beau's football game? The Super Bowl, that is. She will be in Japan for a concert the day before. Aviation experts everywhere are crunching the numbers to see if she will be able to make it back in time. There was a very strange story about three Chiefs fans who froze to death on a back porch. Caddy and Donna weigh in. Alan Jackson, Morgan Wallen and much more on today's episode! Thanks for tuning in. Are you more or less likely to watch the Super Bowl because of the T-Swift drama? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today's show Donna describes how she sold the vest off a man's back. But first, have you ever walked into a Starbucks and someone was just…drinking coffee? Most of the time, you'll see someone on their phone, laptop or reading a book. Well, Donna spotted an older gentleman who was just sitting back and enjoying a cup of joe. Imagine that. Have we become too busy to just slow down and take a look around? Speaking of too busy: Caddy is finding it…difficult to get in some piano practices before his big show. He has plenty of good excuses though, or so says Caddy. Also, you won't want to miss this story about how Donna literally sold the vest off a man's back unbeknownst to him. We all know Donna is a great salesperson, but this is next level. Lastly, we have a conversation about Elle King's recent “performance” at a Dolly Parton tribute concert where she showed up absolutely hammered and frankly, embarrassed herself. Who was at fault? When do you know you have a problem? Have you ever had to apologize to someone for your actions the night before while in the cups? Let us know and for what. Text or call 770-464-6024.
It's all fun and games on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Until it's not. Donna starts us off with a recent episode of big burly men. Caddy responds that it kind of makes him want some new luggage. You know, to leave town. Then we talk about Chase Rice and some other wintery country music artists. Donna brings up what everyone (besides Cadillac Jack) is talking about - Saltburn. No spoilers here, but you will probably want to go watch it after this episode. Just do it cautiously. We round the corner going through Caddy's recent accidents and road disputes. We have to cut it off because of the time limit. You get it. Honk the horn. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. At first, Caddy wasn't so sure about Jelly Roll. Was he mocking country music? Was he a serious musician. Well, he's sold now. But first, Donna wants to check in with you guys on how those New Years resolutions are going? We are three weeks into 2024 and she's still rowing away, but how you doing? Also, has anyone seen Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani? Seriously. They used to be hand in hand all the time on social media, but Donna thinks that something is up. Are the on the rocks? Speaking of on the rocks…Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan had to make an emergency landing when the plane they were flying in started to have instrument trouble. All turned out OK, but good grief what a scary episode. THUGS segment: You know Donna is here for it. Janet should avoid boosting cars in the future. And can she please just pull over and give herself up like a lady? No need to take everyone on an adventure through the wood. And lastly, Caddy's has some thoughts on Jelly Roll. At first he wasn't so sure about him, but he has definitely come full circle. Especially after his recent testimony before congress urging the government to take the fentanyl epidemic seriously. Hat's off to you, Jelly Roll. Have you left us a review? If not, we'd really appreciate it. Your support helps others find the podcast. Once you do text or call us and let us know so we can thank you! 770-464-6024.
Marriage, parenting and personal growth. You know those are some major focuses of the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Today is no different. Donna kicks us off by talking about something, really, entirely different. She got in a fight at Zaxby's. It's a long story. Have you ever had that Kickin' sauce? You get it. We also reminisce on some My Second Act anniversaries. The big part of it would be the tornados that seem to follow us around this time of year. Interesting note about some of the regulations around "Super serving" the community as a broadcast product. The good thing for us now is that, without the obligations of terrestrial media, we don't have to talk about it anymore! You want local news, community, weather and activities? Look elsewhere because you won't find it here. (Pro tip: you never really got it from terrestrial before, but we'll all smile and wave) That's really it. How long have YOU been listening? Let us know. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! It's been a long and rough road, but we're here, and everything is peachy. Have you noticed that food has gotten a lot more expensive at restaurants and the service isn't as good as it once was? Donna has, and combined with the fact that she is just a little tired of going out, she is spending a lot more time at the grocery store. Can anyone out there relate? It also reminds us of kids, college, and how we all just have different life experiences and upbringing. Have you all been keeping up with this craziness that is Gypsy Rose? For those unfamiliar, this was am awful situation where a girl (Gypsy) was abused by her mother and to escape the abuse Gypsy hired a hit man who stabbed her mother to death. Just awful. Well, after serving 8 years in prison, Gypsy is now out and has her own TV show, book, etc. We talk about trauma, and how human beings cope and respond to trauma in their lives. Want to get in touch with us? Call or text anytime – we'd love to hear from you. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Don't ever sit too close to Donna in a movie theatre. She's not having it. But first, 2023 was the year of “yes” for Donna, as she tried new things, had lunch with old friends and in general tried to be accommodating and stay busy. Well, 2024 is the year of “no”, folks. No more Mrs. Nice Donna. And that includes people who want to sit too close to her in a movie theatre while she is trying to eat her popcorn and Junior Mints… Oprah recently revealed she is trying a new weight loss drug and Donna and Caddy get into the new phenomena and why and how people try body altering drugs and procedures. Donna makes no bones about her own experiences and shares some skin peeling moments she suffered through. And, as promised, we've got a new THUGS Segment. Any good reason to be out on the road at 3:30 on Christmas Eve? We don't think so. And one of those reasons is definitely not to test drive a care. Tune in and find out how Mr. Darius found himself in some trouble. Fair or foul? Was Donna right to be annoyed with Mr. Bob's antics in the movie theatre? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Happy New Year and welcome to 2024 days of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Let's begin. Donna is trying to do better this year. To make it happen she is going day by day. She starts the show off with her New Years semi-resolutions. The word of 2024 is wellness. Short, sweet and simple. Really though it's a special and important segment that means a lot for us, and we hope it means a lot for you too. Caddy is working on his ability to sustain. Will he stretch? Sleep? We'll see. Don't hold your breath as you climb those stairs to heaven. Are you an insurance agent willing to help out a very fast driving Cadillac (Jack)? Let us know. If we're not in need now we will be soon. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today's episode, Donna is in hot demand. Donna's mom has a new roommate a the assisted living facility. Donna was helping her get all moved in, and making sure she was comfortable, when all of a sudden Donna was assaulted. In more ways than one. Also, have you seen the new David Beckham documentary? Donna has…and she's a fan. Lastly, we have got a HUGE country music round-up you will not want to miss. Gabby Barrett, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and more. Tune in! We hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Always feel free to reach out to us. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On the show today we're embracing our responsibility to help guide the next generation. But first, Donna can't get to sleep. Too many TikTik videos to watch. The struggle is real. Also, we have a bit of a recap from when all the kids were home for Thanksgiving – plus Fudge – and the trail of messes they left in their wake. One day we'll get the house clean. One day… Donna tells a story about a couple who frequent her shop and a connection she made with the wife. She had recently become a new mother and Donna had some advice for her. We've also got some cool Jelly Roll tape and a heartwarming story about the Gaddy Family in Fayetteville told as only Caddy can. Enjoy! Have any Christmas stories you'd like to share? It's that time of year. Text or call 770-464-6024.
We're suing fans here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Or at least we are talking about people suing fans. Where's our Luke Combs hero? Today we talk about a whole schnitzel of topics. Donna continues to get literally targeted by Instagram ads. This time for feline eye wipes. Then she talks with her handy handyman live on the air. Caddy remains unbothered. So unbothered, in fact, that the following segment is Donna offering an update on her medical condition. It's all news to Cadillac Jack. There's a segment to hear and make sense of, but it's short and painless. See if you can make out the conversation better than Donna Jack. We round it out with a segment about suing, and then protecting fans. You know what? Lets talk after the show. 7704646024.
Welcome to Cadillac Jack – My Second. Stay for the toots, but 15 second hugs maximum. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Thanks to Wil. Definitely not Caddy. Wil helped Donna get Christmas decorations out and put up the tree. Remember when kids were little and decorating sounded good in theory, but you were always left to handle it all yourself? Well, thank God Wil was there, because Caddy just didn't want to interfere. Speaking of Christmas: Caddy just got done helping the Fayetteville PD with their Shop With a Cop Christmas with Cops program. They do a great job down there. So good, in fact, we would recommend you not try to shoplift WHILE all the cops are in the store. Lastly, Noah Kahan poops himself. Or so he says. Hear from Donna about how a little stage theatre can go awry. Favorite Christmas song? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Great day to be alive here on the Cadillac Jack: My Favorite Act podcast. Donna kicks us off with her Rise and Fall of the Christmas Card. We think you'll relate. Then we talk Amy and TJ. A couple that are launching their own podcast. Just despicable, right? We talk challenges, divorce and projection to round it all off. Caddy gets a little sentimental as we approach four years of the show. Can you believe it? Donna keeps the sentiment up by batting it right back. We're all just glad to be here. Anyways, enough of that straw. Donna Jack gives us a much needed update on Peanut the Deer and her thugs. You know what we like to say. Deep tracks only. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast! Donna has a new friend. His name is Peanut. He's a deer. But not just any deer – he is a piebald that likes to hang out in the Jack's backyard. Can he sleep in their bed just ONE night?? Please?! Donna just got back from Las Vegas where she saw U2 in the famous sphere. She talks about the experience, the state of Vegas, and how this is her year of ‘yes'. Caddy and Donna talk a little bit more about Rosalynn Carter and the love affair she had with her husband of 75+ years, Jimmy. They played a little bit from the memorial service where daughter Amy read a love letter he wrote Rosalynn when he was in the Navy 75 years ago. Has Caddy ever written Donna a love letter? Well, he has now. Strangest animal you have ever seen in your backyard: go. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Does Cadillac Jack owe you an apology? Get in line. It's the admissions and revisions episode of My Second Act. Cadillac and Donna Jack make a few calls to kick off the show because Caddy has a few things to get off his chest. But most of them turn into a bit of an argument about whether has anything to apologize for. Spoiler alert: he thinks he doesn't. There's just one thing we want to know - how come y'all got married? 7704646024
Welcome to another episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Hide your grandmas. Caddy was dismissed from ham duty. You made it! We all made it! We got through Thanksgiving in one piece. Caddy did great – well, mostly. He got at least some of his food shopping done and he picked up Nana for the festivities. That's a whole different story though. It got us to talking about ageing and how we as humans and family members cope with loved ones getting older and losing some of their facilities. It's hard, but it's a part of life and it is our duty to protect and cherish our elders. Speaking of Thanksgiving…anyone else do any Black Friday shopping? We know they did in Alpharetta! Donna's story was slammed. It is really something to observe retail shoppers – especially on Black Friday. Now bring on Christmas! There is also a story about something…smelly and gross that happened on a Frontier flight over the weekend. And you KNOW we are going to discuss how good Dolly Parton looked during the halftime of the Cowboys game. 77 years old? Are you kidding me?! What's on YOUR Christmas list this year? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
It's time for our very special Thanksgiving Day special here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. It's time for the palooza and Caddy has to go grocery shopping. Anyone know a place that's open? We are seeking guests for our trunk-to-table celebration this year. The only requirements are that you are allowed a plate warmer only. No other preparation will be made available. Donna gives us some tips on proper Black Friday etiquette. Here's a tip: do not fold the shirt. You do not know how to fold the shirt. We have kids for that. We go from there to a recap of the old Macy's Thanksgiving events downtown. Oh the pentatonic memories. Hang on, I need to go get some candelabra bulbs. Let me know when you're stuffed. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! If you see Donna while Black Friday Shopping – run. She's in a throat punching mood. But first, do you ask your kids for their Christmas lists? It changes as they get older, and their priorities change, but you still want to surprise them? Remember when you needed to make sure that each pile of presents had the same amount in them or you had some ‘splaining to do? What gives with Morgan Wallen winning 11 BMA's and 0 CMA's? Well, we'll tell you. Thanksgiving: we are almost there! Donna talks about how there has been some news lately that weight loss drugs are putting a damper on some people's Thanksgiving plans. Caddy is just fine to fill in the gaps they are leaving. Pun intended. And speaking of Thanksgiving – make sure to save some time for us and our Thanksgiving-pa-looza episode! Lastly, Donna goes ahead and gives listeners some tips for Black Friday shopping. What is the BEST gift you ever gave or received on Christmas? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Please disregard the construction zone. Donna is on a mission. So, first off, you may hear some hammers and carpet ripping in the background. Give that noise no attention because as they say in the pod biz, the show must go on. Charlotte is sleeping in, Olivia and Zippy will be back soon from college, and there is a lot going on. We've got to get the house ready for Thanksgiving and Donna and Caddy talk about the do's and don't of the holiday season. Do you take a dish cold or hot? When should you start prepping? All of the things people botch this time of year. Also, Jelly Roll wins the CMA New Artist of the Year award! 39-year-old. It's inspiring. And you know we have another THUGS segment for you. This time, we're not messing around. Who scams the elderly?! Favorite Thanksgiving fish: go! Text or call us with yours. 770-464-6024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Caddy lost his phone. Not that he would've texted you back anyways, according to Donna. Keyboard warriors. We have all known one. But there is one in particular that is really irking Donna over on The Bear 92.5's Facebook page. You can call her all the names in the world you want…but just don't call her this one. Also, Caddy lost his phone. We think we know where it is, but it needs to be tracked down. It reminds Donna of that one time she lost hers at Costco. In the crab claw section. On top of the ice. And you know we are going to have a Morgan Wallen segment. All that and much, much more on today's jam packed episode! Where is the strangest place you have put/lost your phone? Let us know. Call or text 770-464-6024.
Pop culture. Trends. The CMAs. You know the drill. Here's Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. It's the annual special post- CMA Awards episode. The show was last night and we have fresh takes on the winners, losers and, well, Donna's moles. It'll make sense. We're best done in small phases. Really though we talk about Morgan Wallen and his (unshocking) result. We touch on Lainey Wilson and her watermelons. Caddy breaks a few copyright laws. Then we bring it on home with the new Ferrari movie and who is on the forever-sexy list. It's a short, quick episode. Want it to last longer? Let us know. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. On today's show, Caddy has got some stylish new jeans. Be jealous. But first, he and Donna headed up to Knoxville last weekend to visit Olivia at the University of Tennessee. My, how college has changed. Donna talks about all the things they did with their sophomore daughter and Caddy talks a little bit about her boyfriend, Jack. Also, Caddy is really upping his wardrobe game and Donna is impressed. If you know anything about Caddy you know that the one thing he is lacking in is confidence (eyeroll) and there is just something about a fresh pair of designer jeans that really makes him shine. Lastly, Caddy and Donna talk about the upcoming CMA's and what they are expecting from the show. You don't want to miss their insight into one of the biggest nights for country music! Should Morgan Wallen get Entertainer of the Year? If no, who should? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Good, cold morning here at Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. It's time to warm up. First things first, it's time to get rid of the pumpkins. So if you've got a rotten flesh ball out in front of the house, you know what to do. We go from there into a quick hits revival of music news and a tribute from the Bear. Listen up, listen closely, and we'll see you back here Tuesday. You know what to do. 7704646024.
Welcome to another great episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! What was YOUR first date? Honestly, it doesn't matter. Donna has you beat. But first, Donna has to take the trash out at her store at Avalon and she has told management several times that they need to trim back the bushes so that people can SEE if someone is hiding over there ready to kill someone. Well, someone actually was (not to kill someone) and it freaked Donna out. But then, there is a twist. Now Donna needs the man she found gunning cigs behind the trash can. Listen to find out why. There is an article making its way across the internet detailing the most unacceptable first date restaurants. Can you guess who made the top of the list? Speaking of first dates…Donna shares one of her worst ones, which involved…court ordered community service. I kid you not. Plus, we wrap with a new Can't Beat Caddy segment! Follow along to see how you would have done. Surely you won't be able to beat Donna's worst first date. At least, we hope not. Still, we want to hear yours! Text or call 770-464-6024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. We've got a tough Dead or Not Dead segment for you so buckle up. But first, Halloween is right around the corner and for parents of adult children it can be a great time to look back. Remember all those cute costumes we put our toddlers in? And then the silly ones through their teenage years until they thought they were too old to trick-or-treat? Puts a tear in Mama Jack's eyes. Thug Report: We've got another installment from Coweta County and dear Zacheriah is in some trouble. Charged with meth trafficking, fleeing police and a few others tacked on, he may have been able to avoid it all if he had just…checked to make sure his taillights were working. Dead or not Dead is a doozy this week but Donna is up for the challenge. Are you? Have you ever been charged at a restaurant for your child's poor behavior? If so, we definitely want to hear from you. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Welcome to another edition of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. On today's episode, Caddy makes it through a movie and Donna does a final final. As you all know by now, Donna and Caddy are down to one last baby cub in the house. Charlotte just had her last homecoming dance and Donna talked about the emotion of these “final finals” that are happening until Charlotte flies the coop. Homecoming was great – but there were a few hiccups. Also, Caddy sat through a movie! Like, an entire movie! Well, it was kind of a concert (the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie), but still – a big accomplishment for him. He talks about how it was actually kind of relaxing and brought back a lot of feelings and memories he wasn't expecting. Also, there are a bunch of great concerts coming up so make sure to plan your calendars. And we promise we'll have another segment of Dead or Not Dead very soon. Are you seeing the Eras Movie? Is it weird seeing a concert in the theatre? Let us know what you think. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Rise and shine, it's time for Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. The first thing we touch on is the aftermath of Prime Day. If you are a longtime listener of the show, you know the Jack's garage is going to be full. The thing is it turns out it's full of a different kind of material. A marsupial. It turns into another animal control segment and gets a little hairy. Of course Donna turns it into a police officer ranking contest. From there we go to (another) house of debauchery. A home for fun traded goodies for some racehorses. Then they kept them in the front yard. You'll want to get the whole story. To fulfill our designation as a very very very very semi tech podcast, we talk about quantum mechanics and machine learning. Just kidding. We stick to our lane and cover Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake. Catch up and let us know what you think. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast, where Donna and Caddy are getting old and the Instacart guy needs to use some common sense. When you are old, you get cold more. Donna opens the show with some complaints about the downsides of turning 50. Caddy, begrudgingly, has to agree. It's a b**** getting old. Speaking of feeling old. Caddy and Donna talk about an old friend they ran into and how life puts a lot of things into perspective the older you get. You remember things differently, you aren't as quick to anger, and simple things brings peace that they didn't used to. We've also got some tales from the trail down in Coweta County. Look…we're not having thuggish behavior down here on the South Side. When are these criminals going to understand this?! Insta Cart. Love them and hate the, but what would we do without them? The thing is…no one needs 4 jars of peanuts and unfortunately for Donna, this takes some explaining to do. You've all been there! What is one thing you can or can't do now that you're old? Text or call 770-464-6024. If you're young…buzz off.
We're in a hurry and tummy hurting on this very special episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Donna and Cadillac Jack start us off with some safety concerns. Let's just say one thing - security was a bit tighter back in the day. And that's not all. Donna Jack brings some news back from Dollywood, which is the number one theme park in the United States. Why, you ask? Because the elderly run it. Just bear with us as Donna fills us in. From there Caddy takes us to Buc-ee's. Spoiler alert: there is not one thing you need in that store. But you will leave with it all. It's a different kind of beaver here on the show. We also hear an update on Joanna Cotten and a lighter update on folks who are doing some really great work. Know someone similar? Let us know. 7704646024.
This week, we're running it back. Remember when Donna left Caddy at home by himself? Yeah, that was her first mistake, but it made for a heck of a story. Donna headed out of town to Park City, Utah with Olivia for a little girls getaway trip to ski and snowmobile. They had a great time, but Charlotte was giving mom updates from back home on how things were going and how dad was doing. According to her, he was a little bossy in the morning and he let the cats have at it. You decide how he did. Then, the flight back happened. Well, at first it didn't. Donna didn't just miss the time, she missed the day it was supposed to take off. We all have our airport nightmare story and now Donna has hers. Tune in to find out how she made it home. We also open up the old mail bag and answer questions from a bunch of our Pod Peeps. We love you guys! Let's hear your worst experience at an airport. Let me guess: it happened in Atlanta. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Welcome to another episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act! On today's show Caddy decorates for Halloween – but he still won't lift a finger for Christmas. Baby steps. But first, Donna and Caddy talk about how elaborate and intense this year's Halloween decorations are. Is this normal? Caddy and Donna don't think so. Can you imagine being a FedEx or Amazon delivery person and running into a motion activated Kelsea Ballerini made the cover of TIME magazine recognizing “the 100 emerging leaders from around the world who are shaping the future and defining the next generation of leadership." And man, has she earned it. Speaking of earning some attention: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continue to make the news. Swift rolled into the Jets/Chiefs game with posse in tow (Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively). Some NFL fans have already had enough, though. Has the saga already gone too far? Caddy and Donna weigh in. Also, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are divorcing after 4 years of marriage. Celebrity divorces are not uncommon, but this one may be. Something happened on a Ring video camera at the couples house that caused Jonas to throw in the towel. What the heck happened?! Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift: too much or not enough? You weigh in. Text or call 770-464-6024.
Happy Friday to our haters. All one of you. This is Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We start off on a downer today by talking Brittany Spears. Sometimes people's lives should not be fodder and that takes the forefront of this first segment. Then to fulfill our designation as a semi music podcast we talk Lady A and some new music you should put in your ears right now. Well, after you finish this episode. We move on to share some brighter stories about the folks who make a real difference. One big category? Teachers. Let us know who does good in your life. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! Don't freak out. But Taylor Swift may be off the market. But first, Donna is sitting around waiting for Roscoe…to pass a cheeses wrapper. It's a long story, but he was barking, Donna had some cheese and a squeaker toy, and there is just no stopping Roscoe once he gets his paws on some treats. Stay tuned. Also, is anyone else being invaded by armies of spiders?! Speaking of spiders: Caddy went on his camping trip and has a lot to report. Let's just say Donna isn't all that impressed. Lastly, and of course most importantly, unless you have been living under a rock the last few days then you know that the music and professional football worlds collided when news broke that Taylor Swift was in attendance for a Kansas City Chiefs game to see her suitor (boyfriend?) Travis Kelce's team play the Cleveland Browns. Whoa. Thoughts on the big news? Let us know. Text or call 770-464-6024.
We're stretching and elongating today on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. We have Eric Church tonight in (Awesome) Alpharetta so we'll keep this one brief. We've got Phil Collins, dripping ice cream and a few new bear hugs. Tune in and then, hopefully, we'll see you at the show. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. On today's show we've got country music and football. What more could you want? Well, maybe a B12 shot. Are you tired? Donna is tired. So much so, in fact, that Donna has started getting B12 shots. Every Friday you can find her at the B12 store across from her store at Avalon in Alpharetta. In the rear please. In country news this week we found out that Maren Morris is stepping away from country music. All Caddy has to say is…boohoo! She stated that she doesn't recognize the genre anymore and disagrees with a lot of the messaging that can be found in today's music. Thoughts? Caddy has a few. Also, our very own Stetson Bennett is in the news, and we don't think for anything good – but we don't know. The Los Angeles Rams placed him on the Non-Football Injury list and Coach Sean McVay says that “some things are bigger than football.” We hope he will be OK. Have you or can you self-administer a shot? We want to know. How do you do it?! Text or call 770-464-6024.
Let's gut rumbly and tumbly and weak as a kitten on this episode of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act. Donna Jack is feeling upset and it's not just because she attended her last curriculum night. Cadillac is unwell himself but more due to slurping in the microphone. We're not worried about it. We move from an update on classes and parenting with college-aged children (talk about housing issues) and settle into Caddy learning how to do life. That's right, we are talking therapy and un-coddling yourself. In order to fulfill our designation as a semi music podcast we talk awards. In country music that means we're talking Lainey Wilson. She has some new nominations and audio problems at Billy Bob's. As always Caddy finds a way to bring in the bullhorn. Can you hear me now? Let us know. 7704646024.
Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On today's show, Zach Bryan thinks he's a big man and Coco Gauff wins the U.S. Open. But first, Donna has an update for us on her “Everesting.” As you may remember, she is working on her plan to hike mountains and recently went to a seminar of sorts to plan and get some questions answered. Some folks in attendance reminded her – the time is now. It's good advice in general! If you have something you've been wanting to do or accomplish, get started…today! Atlanta's own Coco Gauff won the U.S. Open over the weekend in New York City and one of the cooler parts about the entire episode was seeing the reactions from her dad, his pride in her, and the emotions on his face. It got us to talking about emotions generally, and how men handle them – specifically crying. Also, country music up-and-comer Zach Bryan was arrested in Oklahoma and it did not go well. Audio of the event made the news and it showed that Zach things he's hot you know what – and he trated the arresting officer with something far less than respect. Caddy has some advice for everyone out there – respect the blue. Have you ever seen your husband/father cry? If so, what for? Let us know by calling or texting 770-464-6024.
